Lori was amazing to work with. She was friendly, easy-going, and non-judgmental (about the mess around my home). More importantly, she was great working with my dog and cat. Lori captured the very essence of both of our dogs in photos. She first put us at ease, then focused on the dogs in several different settings in our chosen location. She came very prepared and organized, and had a wide variety of props and techniques to relax the dogs and get their natural, beautiful expressions and poses. For the family photo, our dogs were very high energy and we also felt nervous. Lori gave us tips to relax us, which calmed our dogs down just enough for the perfect photos. She captured very poignant moments of us interacting with the dogs. Her website and preview system are a breeze to use, and she's a perfectionist with the printed photos. My experience with Lori at Red Leash was nothing short of stellar. Prior to the photo shoot, I completed a questionnaire so she could get a feel for my dog's personality and the 'look' I was hoping to achieve in the pictures. We also talked on the phone to review everything ahead of time; Lori's commitment to understanding me and getting to know my dog was something I didn't expect but really appreciated. Lori came to my home in Germantown for the photo shoot. She proved to be a total natural at working with my (often stubborn) dog. While she was at my home, we talked about the kinds of pictures I would be interested in - albums? framed photos? wall art?.... I had a few walls where I knew I wanted some pictures and she took photos of these spaces. The photos were exactly what I was looking for; it was difficult to choose! We reviewed the photos together, talked about the products I was interested in purchasing, and sifted through everything together to make the best choices. She made the experience easy when it could have been very overwhelming. What I loved the best was that she plugged the dog photos into the pictures she took of my walls so I would be able to see *exactly* what my choices would look like in each room! Lori did a wonderful job of getting my young, energetic, easily-distracted pup to sit still for our "Click & Treat" mini-session hosted by Paws boutique as a fund-raiser for the Animal Legal Defense Fund. Because of her popularity and the sweet deal for a great cause, Lori was booked full and very busy on this day. Nonetheless, she gave my dog her full attention and used some great tricks to get her to pose, and quickly got some great shots. Not an easy feat! She is professional, and obviously an animal lover. My husband and I had a fantastic experience with Red Leash and Lori.   She has such attention to detail and is very thorough every step of the way with her clients. I've used Lori twice now and I am so glad that I did! Both times were such fun days with the dogs, and then you get the bonus of having the great images that she captures on top of it all. You can tell that Lori really enjoys getting to know her subjects, and it shows in the great shots that she gets; she really captures their personalities. I would have never thought to hire a photographer for our two mastiffs, but my friend gifted us with a Red Leash session. She repeatedly expressed to me how much research she did to find Lori and that Lori wasn't your typical photographer...that Lori doesn't do stuffy, obviously posed pictures. So I thought...Okay, okay, I'll check her out...kinda have to since you got us this gift certificate. Well, let me tell ya...I'm so glad she got us that gift certificate! Best present ever! From my first conversation with Lori to the moment we got our order, Lori was very easy to work with. She's very professional and fun to work with. She was very patient with my family, especially my giant pups. The hardest part about working with Lori was having to pick which pictures to order and in which size, etc., since I can be so indecisive. There are so many products available and all the pictures were great. They all captured not just my pups personalities but our bond with them. Lori did an awesome job incorporating the beautiful scenery and environment. It was really hard to pick cause I wanted them all. But Lori was a great help and got me through our ordering session. And your order doesn't just come in a plain box or brown paperbag, it comes with that elegant Red Leash touch. Every time I look at our pictures, I smile as I remember what a great day that was and how much fun we all had. I could not have asked for a more friendly and awesome photographer.
