On the first day, the owner moved our scheduled visit based on her interpretation of our flight information without confirming the change with us. When no one had arrived by 12:30 p.m., our dog had been alone for approximately seven hours, and I had to ask a friend to rush to our house. Only after we had left town did the owner explain that visit times were not guaranteed and that multiple sitters would rotate through our home. Over the trip, at least four sitters provided care, one morning visit was approximately an hour late, a medication dose was missed because instructions had not been communicated properly, and one sitter could not enter because the team had failed to exchange our keys. We had to provide emergency access instructions during our vacation. The individual sitters generally seemed kind and attentive. Our complaint is with the company's management, coordination, communication, and billing practices. We get mistakes happen. What made this unacceptable was the owner's consistently defensive response and tendency to blame the customer or cite policies only after a problem occurred. Prospective customers should understand that Quality Time may rotate several sitters, does not guarantee requested visit times (it's apparently a 2-hour window around your scheduled time), charges numerous add-on fees, including medication by the individual pill and charges $25 for key return. We also received add-on invoices during our vacation and felt pressured to pay them promptly while the company was still responsible for our pets' care (I know there were some duplicate and erroneous charges). After 10 years as customers, we will not use Quality Time again and can no longer recommend the company.

He is walked every morning and evening, and if he has truly been taken on a "mile walk," he absolutely would have relieved himself during that time. Concerned, I went back inside and asked staff when he had last been taken out. I was told he had gone on a mile walk at 10:30 a.m. However, based on our dog's condition and behavior upon pickup, that explanation simply did not align with reality. What troubled me most was not just the possibility that our dog may not have been properly walked or given adequate bathroom breaks, but the feeling that we were not being told the truth. Any boarding facility caring for animals should prioritize honesty, transparency, and the wellbeing of pets in their care. I understand that boarding environments can be busy, and no facility is perfect. But leaving a dog visibly desperate to relieve itself after being picked up is unacceptable and heartbreaking for any pet owner to witness. I would strongly encourage other pet owners to ask detailed questions about potty break schedules, walks, supervision, and communication before boarding their pets here.

My dog required an emergency tracheostomy to survive due to their negligence, yet the facility continues to deny any wrongdoing. Their response has been nothing but denial, blame-shifting, and excuses. They claim it was "nobody's fault but the breeder," despite no such medical issue appearing in veterinary records or emergency reports. My dog now has a  hole in his throat and required a second surgery just to have a chance at quality of life. As an overnight facility, they should understand the fragile nature of brachycephalic dogs. If they cannot properly care for them, they should not accept these dogs at all. Their denial and misrepresentation show a dangerous lack of understanding and accountability. Dogwood Acres claims my dog was outside only "9 minutes" on a "68-degree, breezy day." If true, how did he collapse into a life-threatening brachycephalic crisis that cost me $17,000 to save his life? There are no cameras, no accountability, and no answers, only excuses. They clearly left my dogs out in the heat for too long with no proper care! This facility is reckless, unsafe, and untrustworthy. They nearly killed my dog. Avoid Dogwood Acres at all costs.

We set up a time to meet and they are a young and sweet couple. Their service was a great value for a full day of hiking and socializing. They did what they could and took bloodwork that would be in the next day, but later that same day he passed on his own, which obviously was very hard on us. When Dr Seddon called the next day with the bloodwork, he explained it was very indicative that he more than likely had a tumor on his pancreas because of how low his blood sugar was and there was no way to cure that. He also said he was quite positive that he wasn't suffering during this time at all, which meant a lot! The cremation was handled so amazingly and even included a paw print. I am not typically a fan of conventional vets, but Dr Seddon is a top-notch, compassionate, exceptional conventional vet that has always been a go between for my 3 chihuahuas when something urgent comes up and I can't make it out to the holistic vet (Healing Paws). He has worked on Nico and Roxie, my other two dogs several times for issues and been super helpful! His whole staff is top-notch and compassionate! I truly love Bowie Towne Vet and am so appreciative I have such an outstanding vet practice so close to home. I wrote all of this with tears over the loss of our sweet little boy, but also mixed with tears of joy of appreciation for having such an amazing vet location that was so supportive and helpful during this hard time.

I've recommended Dr. Khianey for years and will continue to do so. But I won't be bringing my family to this hospital without Dr. Khianey. Dr. Khianey is the kindest, most talented veterinarian I have ever come across. Unfortunately, Prince George's Animal Hospital will never, ever be the same without him now after more than 40 years of stellar service to the community. Dr. Khianey saved the life of my first kitty, and cared for him throughout the latter half of his life with compassion and irreplaceable expertise for both my cat and for me. He has been caring for my two current cats in the same exact way, as if they were his own. He will continue to do so at the new practice lucky enough to have him. Dr. Khianey's work is exceptional and I have and will continue to recommend everyone I know go to him if they want a doctor who is competent, compassionate, beyond talented and truly cares for all of his patients with the same level of love he does his own. I would not trust anyone over him. I have seen terrified animals calmed by his presence. I have seen animals on the verge of death healed by his hands. I have wept in his offices and been comforted by his calm competence and expertise. No one will ever replace him and to lose him at Prince George's Animal Hospital after four decades of excellence is a fatal wound to this community.
