So glad we found this place! It is super cute! Very quaint. Definitely for on the go only as there is no place to sit. The coffee was excellent and pastries were wonderful. People were very nice too. We will be back!

Friendly & quick service with a menu including hot cocoa, matcha & other teas. And of course dairy free milk options. Also some baked goods. Has a little seating area with lots of chairs and I think a parking lot (not sure if it's shared with Jettywave), but parking also on the street.

Great spot for quick service coffee. Loved that they carry Drink Coffee Do Stuff beans. We came on a Saturday and the line was a little long. They got through the line pretty fast and everything was made quickly. I also loved the chairs and gas fire pits on the side. Will definitely be coming back. Only thing I would love to see next time are breakfast burritos :)

Absolutely my favorite coffee place! Come to support your local business! Awesome coffee, baked goods and even dog treats! The service is friendly and happy . The ambiance is easy and peaceful. My super favorite is the cold brew on a hot sunny beach day!

amaaaazing coffee. they really know what they're doing here. i'm lil coffee snob, make my own espresso at home, grind my own beans, and never go out for coffee unless i'm far away from home. this place surpassed my expectations. a deep, complex flavor in the latte i had was a great start to my day and it gave me the motivation and energy to start my day. was driving from half moon bay to big sur, so i forsure needed some hype lol. also had a perfectly toasted bagel with cream cheese, it was delish. loooove it and will surely be back again next time i'm near half moon bay!

Walking north in Half Moon Bay toward Mavericks, it was the last coffee place I could find. And as luck would have it, it was great. Small place. It's built out of a couple of metal freight containers. They have a few nice coffee blends and all the basic drinks. Few yummy eats as well. I enjoyed the latte with oat milk. Comes with 4 shots, but you know, it wasn't overly strong. Tasted fantastic. And for a mid-morning snack, the locally made hummingbird bread. Fresh and homemade. See photo for label info. Service was ok. It worked but not that friendly. The best thing about Dawn Patrol is the seating area. A few little seat pockets, a few of them under a sturdily built, covered structure. And a gas-powered fire pit also. Quiet location.

You can tell this is a local favorite. I think if you're really craving a coffee and want to support locally this is a pretty cute spot. There is even some seating they share with the jetty distillery. The service was great. But i think this is a one time stop for me. Got a peppermint mocha and hot chocolate. If anything just order yourself a black coffee and add cream and sugar as you like. I think black coffee and espresso are the star drinks.

Stopped by again for coffee and breakfast again while staying at the Oceano Resort nearby. Was met with a friendly smile, prompt service, and delicious cold brew coffee! It was mid September, and it was lightly cool outside. Put on a light jacket for the walk to Dawn Patrol and enjoyed the scenery. The cold brew was delicious and smooth, and the almond sweet roll hit the spot!

While in half Moon Bay we stopped in here for some warm beverages on a "cold" California winter morning. The team behind the counter greeted us cheerfully and they were so nice and warm, just like the beverages they made! I was impressed with their selections for a spot so small- and opted for a hazelnut steamer with oat milk, while hubby ordered a cup of light roast. While waiting for our orders, we snuggled on the dog across the street that I'm pretty sure needs to be their official greeter dog. Of course her name is Luna. I cannot with how cute that dog was. Our drinks were done in a flash and we were both happy with how the drinks turned out. Parking on the street and in the lot behind was convenient and we only had issues getting to them and out of the area with the through traffic. Overall a very positive experience and we would definitely return on a future trip out here.

Great coffee, even better pies!…read more Stumbled into Safe Bake House and I'm so glad I did. The coffee is excellent, smooth, well-pulled, and clearly made with care. But the real stars are the pies. Flaky crust, generous filling, and that homemade taste you just can't fake. There's a great little selection beyond the pies too, plenty of baked goods and treats to keep you coming back to try something new each visit. The unexpected bonus? They've got chess! Pulling up a board with a hot coffee and a pie is honestly the perfect way to spend an afternoon. It gives the place a cozy, lingering vibe where you actually want to stick around. Friendly spot, great quality, and a little something extra. Highly recommend!

The Habanero Chicken Pot Pie was SPICY which I love! I mean it's Habanero it's supposed to be spicy. Although the Pot Pies are on the small side. Still very delicious. They also sell other food items, coffee and other beverages. We just came here for the Pot Pies. Workers was friendly and helpful! When we got here I see people seating outside already enjoying their meals and drinks. Sage Bakehouse is located right on Pacific Highway 1. It does everything…read moreright and it made me want to return immediately to enjoy its hospitality as soon as I had left. I went with a group of friends that, unexpectedly, increased by one at the last minute and they handled the addition with grace and kindness, relieving my anxiety about the inconvenience. It ended up being the best tea house experience I'd had in quite a while. Almost all of the items on their menu are made in-house, including the finger sandwiches, which are made fresh each morning so they don't get soggy. The menu is thoughtful and interesting, containing all the items you expect for an afternoon tea, without being boring or trite. This included a house-made, crescent-shaped, lavender-infused cookie that was a lovely shade of purple. I don't normally enjoy lavender-flavored things, but this one had just the right balance and texture and I loved it. I also enjoyed the "I Hate Kale" salad, which was both cheeky and delicious. I was prepared to not enjoy it, but I finished it all. I can imagine it's not to everyone's taste, but it was unique and tasty. The scones were spot-on. I had the Earl Grey & Lemon and had the chance to taste another person's strawberry and white chocolate one, both were delicious and had great texture. The accompanying jam and clotted cream were fantastic. Everyone chose a different tea from a wide selection and they were all great. No one was unhappy with their choice and most shared theirs with others to try! I liked all of the sandwiches, even the ones I didn't expect to like, such as the chicken curry. Among us we tried all the varieties and all were a hit. As a group, we ended up ordering several of the Tea for two selections, which the hostess/owner helpfully pointed out was more economical than each person choosing the individual Half Moon Tea. A few people ended up also ordering additional scones, a la carte, to take home. The owner was there and talked to us a good bit about the shop, answering the many questions with ease, enthusiasm and patience, Our server was the same, taking requests in stride, even from the more difficult among us. We never had to go searching for him and he was on top of everything. The location itself is like another character in the shop's story, being adorably painted on the outside and incredibly decorated on the inside, with a story behind much of the decor. I don't often tell people that they can't miss going to the restroom at a dining spot, but you simply must here because it's fabulous! I loved our experience here and look forward to returning soon, bringing more tea-loving friends to enjoy its charms!
