We had notified the employee ahead of time and he was so gracious to accommodate the new arrival time. All three couples purchased the tea for two package and it was honestly one of the best tea experiences I've had in a while! The food was wonderful and the tea was selection was huge. We all felt like our teas had great flavor and only wished we could share them around all 6 of us. Our server checked in on us throughout the duration of our experience and we just loved the overall time spent there. It is quaint and cozy and exactly what you would expect from a tea shop. We left it and I would 100% come back!

The sandwiches are delectable, the scones downright scrumptious and freshly made (I recommend the strawberry!), and the little quinoa salad a lovely fresh addition to the menu. The owner was so kind and welcoming, you could tell she loved her work from the moment you walked in. You can tell that every bite is made with love. Truly I could have spent a whole day there, sipping tea, reading, and enjoying the whimsical decor. Can't wait to go back!

Hey Yelp! Why did my previous Cafe Society review go? In any case, if you're looking for a local…read morecoffee place that offers soul and vibrancy, then you need to come to Cafe Society. I love this local coffee place. They have sweet breads. And quiche. And little sandwiches. And house Made soup of the day. Of course, all kinds of coffees, and teas, and hot chocolate. And if you really need it some sodas and waters. Today's coffee for me was just a simple latte. A delicious one to be sure! I recommend when you order yours that you get it for consumption at Cafe Society, in a nice cup. Many times a month. They also have live music including jazz, and many other things. If you happen to play the piano, or have some sort of instrument you can bring with you, Cafe Society is also amenable to having you come in at the moment and entertain the crowd. There are two pianos on site., A pair of pianists who show up that wants to duel could probably do it. Separate rooms in the cafe. But that would make it all the more enjoyable for people sitting in the middle listening to a piano duel. And with the way the tables are arranged at the current time, access to electrical outlets at more than a couple of tables is available. So Cafe Society makes a great place for your day's adventure. Stop to enjoy a little recharge of both your body, and your devices. Their bathroom is always kept clean. Even to the point of letting your child go in alone. On any given day, there is parking within a reasonable walking distance, if not directly out in front. Cafe Society is located on Main Street in half Moon Bay. It's both easy to find, and easy to miss. So keep your eyes open. But if you do happen to miss it, they are located in the ground floor of the Odd Fellows Hall building. If you're looking up, look for the eyeball staring back at you at the roofline. Somewhat friendly during the daytime. Somewhat spooky at night But always an attention grabber. LOL I totally recommend Cafe Society and half Moon Bay. They've been around for a long time. There are many reasons for it. And those reasons are the motivation for my visits, again and again.

Instead I got to hear the two baristas tell LOUD inappropriate stories and drop MULTIPLE F BOMBS as if we are all DRUNKEN SAILORS in a longshoremen's bar after having nine beers. Ordered an egg omelette, and it was executed perfectly--light, fluffy, cooked just right without being dry, and packed with fresh ingredients. You can tell they use quality products, and the sides (like their crispy potatoes/hash browns) paired with it made for a super satisfying morning meal. The staff was friendly, attentive, and kept everything moving smoothly even during busy morning hours. The space is bright, clean, and has a great laid-back coastal vibe. If you're taking a drive down Highway 1 or just looking for a fantastic breakfast spot in Half Moon Bay, Taste Café is a must-visit. I'll definitely be back!

We were looking for a quaint breakfast spot and Taste Cafe has great reviews on Yelp. At first we were disappointed that it was in a strip mall but that all changed when we walked in. The interior is decorated with many clocks so you don't really know what it is. The service staff is friendly and polite. The biscuits and gravy were great and the hash brown portions were generous and crispy. We were on our way for a bike ride up Lobitos Creek and Tunitas. We were a little too full after the breakfast but it was worth carrying the extra weight up 2,800' of climbing.
