    Hazelnut latte
    Sho R.

I stopped by on a Sunday for a quick coffee. It was not too busy. I went for a hazelnut latte which had good flavors. Hazelnut mousse cake was also really good. I also went for 2 scoops of gelato - Pistachio and hazelnut. Hazelnut was my favorite. Pistachio was ok.

We stopped in here for a quick cup of gelato after a busy day. There was a very long line, but service was friendly. They mainly serve breakfast/coffee, and had an impressive selection of pastries as well. I came for gelato and ended up leaving with 2 cakes to try. Gelato wasn't super memorable, but the cakes were delicious! I would love to come back on a quieter day and try some more of their items.

    Best meatball sandwich ever

I love this place. The meatball sandwich was the bomb! Their Keylime pie is delicious, and so are their coffee drinks. I've had some great egg breakfasts as well.

Great Italian coffee shop/cafe with hand crafted coffees, crepes, and a giant selection of European pastries and deserts!

Very nice coffee, pastry & breakfast place. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The shop was clean and cozy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] All staff were helpful and polite. Lattes were delicious! Most coffee shops make them too sweet. Their lattes let the coffee shine. One morning we enjoyed their croissant breakfast sandwich and the crepe breakfast. Both were great. I also enjoyed their vegetable cream soup for lunch. Very tasty!

Spent the day in Half Moon Bay with some friends and our dogs. After walking along the beach path for a few hours, we wanted a dog-friendly place to chill out for some dessert and coffee. We searched on Yelp and there wasn't a lot options for dessert or coffee places, but thankfully, found this place that was also listed as being dog-friendly. The parking lot by this place was large and there was plenty of parking, so that was nice, despite it being a busy day in Half Moon Bay. [[HIGHLIGHT]]As soon as we walked up to the door of the place, we saw a giant sign on the door that said that dogs weren't allowed. Boo.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Well, thankfully, there was seating outside and there were 4 of us, so we took turns going in to order since we couldn't bring our dogs in. It was annoying, but manageable.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I ordered an iced coffee and a cheesecake. There were so many desserts, I had a hard time deciding. They also had gelato as well. I wanted it all. The iced coffee was nice and refreshing. The cheesecake was divinely fluffy, light, and delicious. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There was plenty of outdoor seating and thankfully, was overcast for most of the time we were there. When the sun came out, it was a little much as there wasn't any shade where we were.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It ended up being a good experience overall and we were happy.

    Savory crepe

First meal of the year and it didn't disappoint. This cute looking cafe is the perfect spot for brunch and pastries. Friendly staff. Lots of parking space as well. Tried and loved: - fresh squeezed orange juice: at $8 for OJ, I was expecting something spectacular and that is exactly what I received. - margarita pizza: was consumed by my partner and was "very satisfying" - savory crêpe with egg and Swiss cheese: their technique was spot on, but it would have been elevated with more seasoning and perhaps some herbs. To be fair, it is supposed to come with ham which as a vegetarian I asked without because this European can't resist a crepe. - Hazelnut cake: delicious, just the right level of sweetness, creamy. Definitely recommend! This was a great first introduction. Looking forward to more visits.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Great service, ample seating, and nice quiet morning.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Croissants are super delicious, buttery, and flaky. The hot chocolate is delicious as well. The lox bagel is perfectly warmed and delicious. Great cafe stop. Will definitely be back!

Sooooo yummy!!!! I got the 2 scrambled eggs (soo fluffy and good!), bacon, hash browns (soooo delicious) and toast. My fiance got the veggie omelette which looked absolutely delicious! And we split the chocolate mousse crunch (has a hint of hazelnut too!) pastry which was to die for! Highly recommend the whole place but especially the pastries! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Service was great, the whole place is very cute and smells soo good![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]There's also outdoor seating which is great on a nice day[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Curious about what the new/old place is like, our three-person family went there for a late breakfast today. Walking up to the front doors, the original inset stained glass remains. Walking in, the cool wood paneling and nautical decor remains in place with a couple of new touches. The fully appointed bar also remains, now with a more streamlined look with subtle lighting changes. We were greeted pleasantly and seated inside the dining room immediately; it was moderately busy and buzzing, not too loud. Our server was quick to our table, menu-knowledgeable and consistent in his attention to us. We had a Denver omelette, a couple of bennies and lemon ricotta pancakes to share. My omelette had particularly fresh and al fresca peppers and onions - wonderful. The lemon ricotta pancakes were sufficiently saturated and fluffy(hard to pull off)and came with fresh cream. The prices were at about the same level as the local competition, which pleasantly surprised us. It appears that the folks who did this breakfast/lunch reboot were shrewd in pricing their dishes. Jetty Wave, a drinks and appetizers adventure(which I heartily recommend as well for different reasons)in the northwestern part of Princeton, is not for the fiscally faint hearted. The only element that makes our experience short of a 5 is that we were not given a farewell when we left, though I was able to find our friendly server and thanked him. In all, the Joanne's legacy is intact - the old carved wood Ketch Joanne sign still hangs inside - literally and figuratively a homage to its legacy while bringing a new energy to this space. Recommended.

We stopped by for lunch on a crisp day, and it completely captured that perfect coastal vibe--think fresh seafood, laid-back atmosphere, and killer views of the boats and water. We started with the calamari, which was hands-down some of the best I've ever had: tender, not rubbery at all, perfectly seasoned and fried, melting in your mouth. The New England-style clam chowder was rich, creamy, with just the right subtle smokiness and balanced seasoning--definitely lives up to Half Moon Bay's chowder reputation. For mains, the Dungeness crab sandwich was the star: generous lumps of sweet local crab, minimal sauce (just how I like it), on toasted sourdough with fries on the side. My partner went with the fish and chips, and the cod was crispy, flaky, and not greasy at all--classic done right. The outdoor patio with fire pits was cozy even in cooler weather, and our server was super friendly, attentive, and full of local recommendations. The place feels welcoming, whether you're a regular from the Coastside or just passing through after a beach walk or harbor stroll. Prices are fair for the fresh, quality ingredients and location--definitely worth it. We've already added it to our list for the next trip to Half Moon Bay. Highly recommend if you're craving solid seafood in a charming harborside setting! 5/5 stars.

We were looking for a quaint breakfast spot and Taste Cafe has great reviews on Yelp. At first we were disappointed that it was in a strip mall but that all changed when we walked in. "NO WATER BOTTLE ON THE TABLE!"…read more That was literally what was said to me today -- after I had already placed my food order. I've come here several times with my kids after playing at the indoor playground next door. In the past, I've found the servers attentive, friendly, and nice, and it had become part of our routine to stop here after playground time. Unfortunately, today's visit left me feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome. We had water bottles with us because we had just spent time at the playground. They were sealed water bottles, and while we were there, I had ordered food and water from the restaurant. After I placed our food order, a staff member came all the way over to our table specifically to tell me not to put the water bottle on the table. There wasn't an extra chair or obvious place to put my things, so I awkwardly had to keep the bottle on my chair or place it on the floor. If this rule is going to be enforced this strictly -- even for a mom with two young kids coming from the playground next door with a sealed water bottle -- it would be helpful to make that clear BEFORE customers sit down and order. I would have appreciated the opportunity to make an informed decision before placing my order, rather than being corrected afterward in a way that felt unnecessarily embarrassing as a paying customer. I understand the need to enforce policies, especially around outside food and drinks. But there should also be some balance and common sense in how rules are applied. A sealed water bottle is very different from bringing in outside food or drinks to replace ordering from the restaurant. This was not a huge incident, but it made the experience feel rigid and unwelcoming. Unfortunately, because of this interaction, I do not plan to come back. I also know other families who follow a similar playground-and-meal routine, and I would share this experience with them so they know what to expect. UPDATE: In response to business' comment: You completely missed the point. My issue was not simply that the restaurant has a no outside food/drink policy. My issue was HOW and WHEN that policy was enforced. If water bottles are not allowed on the table, I would have respected the rule much more if that had been clearly communicated BEFORE I sat down and placed an order. Instead, I was corrected only AFTER I had already ordered food and became a paying customer. That timing matters. It is not acceptable customer service to take a customer's order first, then strictly enforce a rule afterward in a way that makes the customer feel embarrassed and unwelcome. If this rule is important enough to enforce against a sealed water bottle, it should be communicated clearly BEFORE customers sit down or spend money. That was the core issue with my experience.
