It was scared the heck out of me but yet Dr Northrop was honest and told me what the risk was for and possible outcomes. I actually appreciate that. I'm a nurse and of course we are often critical of doctors. It took a visitor to until I was willing to trust. But at that point his bedside manner was good and he was extremely honest with me for the positive and the negative. I needed to hear that and also to know what steps to take to follow his direction to the best outcome I'm so glad I did that because now I see that my x-rays are regaining bone. I had a very complicated surgery Dr Northrop and actually three surgeries in total over the last 8 months. I am very fortunate to not have to have an amputation which was a possible outcome. My bone is regenerating, I'm on the final stage of healing. Dr Northrup would be my next go to if I ever, God forbid, needed help again. I will recommend him to anyone that has an absolute problem. We get surprised in life sometimes and people we don't expect to meet. I'm very glad I did and he was recommended to me. Thank you to Dr Northrup! And his staff also, a very pleasant office to visit and very efficient. I don't think I've ever waited more than 5 minutes if that. I WAITED 45 MINUTES FOR. NOTHING. THEY WERE ALL LIKE. ROBOTS! HAD NO CARING OR EMPATHY , DIDNT CARE ABOUT WASTING MY TIME! I WOULD NEVER SUGGEST ANYONE EVER GO TO SE ORTHOPEDIST! THEY ARE AWFUL!

I went there because I had a huge bruise on my foot that was not caused by an injury. When Dr. Johnson examined my foot and showed him pics of my foot from the pass couple of weeks. I asked if it was my Raynauds. he said "I'm almost 100% positive this is a stress fracture. I want you to wear a boot and it needs to be one that goes to your knee. Go to Amazon and purchase one there." I pulled it up on my phone and he told me which one to order. Then told me he was going to send me for X-rays. As I was getting ready to check out and he walks me up to the front he proceeds to talk to me about a vitamin that I need to be on. I heard him and the front girl tell me about it and how I would be contacted. Dr. Johnson said he would call me with the results from my X-rays if he wasn't right. I told the girl in the front I wanted to be called no matter what the X-rays say. She said she would be sure to tell him. I went over for X-rays and the imaging center told me they would be over to the doctor by the end of the day. Meantime I ordered the boot thinking I could trust this doctor. Received it the next day. With my work it's very hard for me to stand all day in this boot and I have osteoarthritis in that same knee and Dr. Johnson told me I could not wear the brace for my knee that I had to wear the boot for a month. I told him that I really needed to wear the brace because if I didn't my back would go out to. He said u can't wear the brace only the boot. Moving forward did not get a call on that Friday that I saw him. Called Monday and the receptionist told me he was on vacation and would be back next week. I asked if there was any way to get my results from my X-rays since I was told he would contact me. She said she would have someone call me. NO CALL. I always get a copy of my X-rays. I went to get the cd and my report. The report said NO STRESS FRACTURE found. Just soft tissue inflammation. I was very upset that the doctor never called me. Thank god I did not wear the boot with my knee and back problems. I would not recommend him.
