Additionally the price was better than the competitors, who did not include the custom carrying case.The website said they were out of stock but would have them in a couple of days. I called the company to confirm, and Steve the owner promptly called me back and said he could ship in 3 days. I placed the order, it was shipped as promised and arrived 3 days later. This is all during the holiday season before Christmas when it can take weeks. It's a great headset and great service from SeaDog.

A woman called 5:00 PM Saturday afternoon to inform us she had bad news: mechanical issues with the boat to which we were (arbitrarily) assigned meant that our reservation was cancelled. No empathy. No apology. You'd think I was talking to a NYC Taxi dispatcher from 1979. Every question was met by: "I'll ask the manager to call you;" her only goal to get off the phone. I hate to say it, but all-too-typical Burlington, VT area smug, arrogant, never-heard-of Customer Service attitude. Called back after a while looking for that manager with whom I was supposed to speak -- apparently he was too busy gassing boats or something (she reported) -- you can't make-up this stuff!! This woman just couldn't care less how she affected my son's 10th birthday plans. To quote: "we're a small marina and that's just the way it is." And oh yeah... "speak to the manager" was repeated at least 10 times -- easiest way to get off the phone, right? Avoid this place like the plague - like the Cyanobacteria all over it anyway. Still waiting for that call... just hung up with another rental place that said, quote, "This is the 5th call we've had that said Apple Island Marina cancelled our reservation."
