I had booked a signature massage with Lupe. I was greeted very warmly and the message started right on time. It was a mix of different techniques including Swedish, deep tissue and hot stone and I absolutely loved it. I had always had difficulty completely relaxing during a message but I was almost asleep at the end of this one. My muscles were really stiff from overwork and Lupe was excellent in identifying and working on the knots and stiffer areas; the pressure she used during the message was perfect. I was recommended by a friend, who I play ball with to come see Lupe. I basically had a case of whiplash from colliding with another person on the basketball court. I had a really stiff neck and it was constantly sore and it was difficult to turn my head to perform normal daily functions. 5 stars for EMILY!! I have been seeing Emily once a week for prenatal massages for my 2nd trimester of pregnancy, and will continue seeing her for the remainder of my 3rd trimester. I've had other prenatal massages that seem to only be focused on relaxation with no lasting results, but Emily finds that perfect balance of helping me relax while also providing true therapeutic massage for my body aches. She clearly has an extensive knowledge of how to work with muscles to actually address my back and neck pain from the pregnancy. She also uses aromatherapy and warmed/steamed towels as part of the mommy massage which is awesome for the overall experience. I love her supportive and calming demeanor, and I know she is providing thoughtful and experienced massage therapy which makes coming each week totally worth it! Day Dream has the correct pregnancy pillows for facedown massage and reclined back laying during 2nd trimester, and a leg support pillow for side laying during 3rd trimester. I have been going to Day Dream Therapy for a couple of years now. I had originally had some sciatic issues that caused some pain in my whole leg. I looked up local massage places and saw all the reviews for Day Dream were great. I don't even remember seeing any bad reviews. So I made an appointment for an hour long session. Once I arrived, I sat down with the therapist and we discussed what my issues were. After explaining to her my situation, she suggested we do 35 minute sessions instead to give my muscles time to recuperate(sp?). Boy was she right. After only a few 35 minutes sessions, the pain was gone. I had seen a few massage therapists and chiropractors and none were able to even come close to the progress I got after going to Day Dream. The therapists there are all extremely friendly and genuinely concerned about your health. I haven't even thought about going anywhere else for a massage. I am also a certified massage therapist. Lupe gives the best massages. She is super friendly and I felt really comfortable getting a massage from her. I'm about 7 months pregnant and I often have a sore lower back and after getting a massage from her I felt a lot better. I'm tempted to get a massage every week. I really like how the massage table is warm and the whole atmosphere is very relaxing. She gave me a tummy cast thing to make mold of my tummy which I thought was really sweet and nice of her. This is my second visit at day dreams, I am very impressed with Lupe's Deep tissue massage, and it is not just business she takes her time to make sure you are relaxed and comfortable before she begins treatment, after some green tee you almost feel as if you have know this place for years. You are not rushed at any time, she reserves a 20 minute slot just in case your running a bit late, if you get there on time she rewards you by adding 10 minutes to your massage her prices are are unbeatable, she charges $80 for a seventy minute massage :) the best part is for me is the towel wrap on my face after the great neck and shoulder massage. What makes Day Dreams stand out is that it is a private place where you can in fact relax and enjoy a preference of various techniques. Lupe is first-class as she listened and modified my massage to my liking. At the ending, the hot steam towels that merely completely relaxed my muscles after a debilitating yet pleasing massage made it just right. Lupe is a fantastic massage therapist. She understood what I wanted/expected from my massage and made me feel comfortable. She worked on my shoulders and hands mostly due to the fact that I am sitting in front of a computer for most of my week. As the session progressed, she would consistently ask if the pressure was suitable. Definitely not overbearing or annoying, just enough conversation to ensure absolute relaxation.The only downside is that it is a bit expensive. The ladies at Day Dream Therapy are WONDERFUL! I had not had a lot of massages, but I was in severe pain because of stress among other things so I checked Yelp to find a good studio locally. I made an appointment with Lupe and she took the time to ask me about the areas that were bothering me. She really made me feel comfortable and I felt a thousand times better when I left. I decided that I was going to come regularly so that I could avoid the painful experience like last time so I made another appointment, but with Mars. She was also very attentive and friendly. I have been going to Chontelle for the past 3 years because she truly knows what she is doing. I remember the first time I made an appointment with her, without telling her what I had done all week, she was able to tell me that I had hiked a big heel, just got off my lady time, and definitely needed more water and spinach in my life. I've been to this place so many times. Lupe's an excellent therapist. She'll make you feel comfortable off the bat. I've got a lot of muscle issues going on for a 26 year old that my primary care physician say I may as well be 40. Work's stressful for me and after seeing Lupe and she fixes me up, I feel great. Lupe's always friendly and gives you tips on how to prolong your "feel good" with stretches that you can do or vitamins you could take. Always professional, punctual and as long as you come on time and she can afford it she may go a little over. The atmosphere is relaxing and inviting. She'll even offer you water before and after your massage or ask you if you want some tea. Lupe's attentive at your needs, so if you want more pressure, or want her to ease off a little, just let her know. It's good to know that Lupe's around to fix me up whenever I break myself from doing something akward/sleeping weird or getting so tensed up from work.
