I can't recommend Day Dream Therapy highly enough. I went there after suffering for 6 months with severe shoulder pain from a combination of working on a computer all day (Silicon Valley Syndrome) and Crossfit. The therapist has been incredible in her ability to relieve pain and stiffness. Before trying massage with Day Dream, I tried cortisone shots and several sessions of physical therapy at $400 a pop, with no relief. I had to stop lifting weights due to increasing stiffness and pain and found it difficult to work at the computer. Resting and inactivity made the stiffness and pain worse. A massage therapist I visited at another spa wouldn't touch my shoulder as the tightness was such that she was convinced it was dislocated. From the very first session, my masseuse listened attentively, identified the issue and gave immediate relief. She was remarkable in her ability to find and work the sore and tight spots and to return my range of motion. After the first 1 hour session, my stiffness and pain were gone for a few days. After subsequent sessions, the relief lasted longer. I have now been able to return to a regular exercise regimen. They are the very best. They are very popular, but if you use their online appointment system far enough in advance, you can get the time you want. read more

I reluctantly write this review as I feel like it's my little hidden secret - once it gets out, I fear it will become difficult to get an appointment!! I know, I'm selfish :) I have been going to Day Dream for massage for years now - ever since it was just Lupe working out of a single room, and now she has multiple rooms, services and more hands on deck. Guess it goes to show that the businesses that are actually good at what they do, don't suffer too badly when the economy goes to crap. I mainly see Lupe (and she is AMAZING!), but I have also seen a few of the other girls as well (Veronica, and ..?? I can't recall her name - not helpful, I know), and they were also very good. I guess I am bias towards Lupe since I have been seeing her for so long, but you can't really go wrong with any of them. I have had all different types of massage - prenatal, Swedish, hot stone etc., and have never had an issue with any of the techniques. The place is very clean (important!!) and comfortable, temperature is always spot on, and I always walk out feeling like a million bucks! I also love that you can book online, although their online system can be a little tricky to navigate at times. I also agree that the office is a little hard to find the first time, but when you've been once, your fine. Probably wouldn't hurt for them to put some kind of map of the building on their website since there are lots of different offices in the building. read more

Lupe is amazing! She is very communicative - asking about my needs prior to the massage, adjusting her technique based on my verbal and non-verbal feedback, and even sending a post-massage follow-up e-mail. A lot of less experienced masseuses use only their forearms and elbows - not Lupe. She also uses her fingers, and stretches/re-positions the body to target the appropriate muscles. The massages I get by Chontelle are incredible. She is so knowledgeable about the anatomy of the human body, every spot she chooses to massage is spot-on, and I always wonder to myself, how did she know I was sore there?! There is no wasted time, I feel like I benefit from every second I am there. I leave feeling like the problem I came in with was addressed and worked out. It is a medical massage for me, and helps me perform better at work and in my daily life activities as I have less muscle pain. The location is clean and natural, the massage room is comforting. I haven't had a massage since pre-pregnancy and was very much in the need for one! My husband got me a package to utilize their therapy room along with a 90-min massage. At first, I thought that the therapy room wasn't really needed, however upon walking into the area, I was very impressed with what was available. You have a room all to yourself in which, you can take a shower in order to get any cosmetics off in order for your body to absorb the oils in the massage. You have a private sauna and water massage table to use, as well. This place was more like a full-service spa, rather than a simple massage place. It really helped put me in a relaxed state of mind considering a left my little one at home, within him always being on my mind. As for the massage, Peter was excellent in finding all of the knots and tense areas. The massage was purely amazing and definitely made me feel relaxed. I love massages... I enjoy going to "spas" but I can't afford the amenities of day spas on a weekly basis. Therefore small practices that provide the same services are just as perfect. OMG! I have never experienced how pregnancy belly casting is, till I meet LUPE! she's very artistic and well organized with her work! She did my casting before my baby shower and it was beautiful and loved it! I had the angel wings w/heart. My belly casting was my center for my baby shower and everybody loved it and complement how nice it was. I'm going hang it in my baby boy's room. I was having some serious neck, shoulder and arm pain due to a lot of stress. It was so bad that I had to get myself checked by a doctor who told me to go for massages. One day prior to my appointment I received a call from Lupe to find out about my concerns and problem areas. At the spa, I did not have to wait at all. I've been going to Day Dream Therapy for my pre-natal massages and love it there! I've had other pre-natal massages at other places but my pre-natal massage with Emily is one of the best massages I have ever gotten. I'm about 33 weeks now and I have gone for three sessions. Emily is amazing and focuses on my troubled areas (neck and shoulders) and really knows how to relieve my pain and stress. She uses hot oils, hot stones, and her amazing hands to tackle all my pain. She has a very quickly guaged my exact pressure requirements and relaxed my body. I've heard that lot of therapists in this business count the undress/redress time as the massage time but was surprised to learn about Lupe's policy on this one. And I'm glad that I visited here. I found Day Dream Therapy through Yelp several months ago, and I've been going and referring my friends ever since. I am consistently impressed by Lupe's attention to detail and her ability to help alleviate high levels of pain and discomfort, as well as just help me relax. She asks questions before each session (not just the first) in order to tailor the massage to what I need most that particular day. The atmosphere and staff are both very pleasant; I had no problem waiting 45 minutes in the office while my husband got a massage. The online appointment system is very convenient and, once you've done it a time or two, very easy to navigate. The office itself is a little tricky to find the first time, but there are detailed directions on the website. I would not recommend anywhere else for a massage in the area; Lupe's awesomeness is well worth the money every single time. read more

I have been a big fan of Day Dream Therapy for over two years now. I am a generally active person (cycling, going to the gym, playing sports, etc.) and I have an old shoulder injury that acts up from time-to-time. As a result, I try to go here regularly because this is not the type of place for a "foo foo" massage. The services they provide are therapeutic for a body that works and plays hard! Don't get me wrong, the surroundings are well-appointed and they do ensure that the ambiance is calming and comforting. And the staff is extremely attentive. But it is not to sell the look of the place, but rather to facilitate relaxation that makes the therapy more effective. Also, the staff is extremely knowledgeable and has a genuine interest in your well-being. Lupe, who is awesome and who I regularly see, will suggest stretching, relaxation, and self-massage techniques so that I can continue the therapy every day. She will always ask how your body feels or if you want work in a particular area prior to starting the massage. It is both comfortable and effective. Anytime I hear a friend or coworker complain about a stiff neck or an old nagging injury, I immediately recommend Day Dream to them too. Even if you just want to have someone melt away the stress and tension of a long week, go! You won't regret it and you'll probably write a review like this too. Have fun! read more

I'm not usually a yelper, but I know people look on it for reviews. I thought it would be worth putting in my .02. I've been to Day Dream before and had Lupe, who is awesome, but couldn't afford to keep going. I recently took advantage of an online deal and was so glad I did. Lupe is not only great, but she has hired a great staff. I had Lisa for my massage, and even though she hasn't been practicing for a long time, she very slowly and expertly got into some tough muscle tissue that's been bothering me for a long time. I was sure I was going to be sore because that's usually what happens when I get a massage after a long period of time and no exercise and a bad diet, but I am not sore at all! AND the muscles in my hip and shoulder have stayed loosened. Typically, it takes almost 45 minutes to get into my shoulder muscles just to get them softened, but Lisa used a couple of movements with well placed massage techniques and got into the tissue right away. I was amazed! I didn't tell her this, but I had been a massage therapist for 10 years previously, so it takes a lot to "wow" me, but I can tell that she takes her training and her profession very seriously and is very good at it. Although it was painful getting worked on in those specific areas, it was well worth the lack of pain I now feel. To top it all off, she went WAY over and above what the online deal specified, which I so much appreciated, especially in this day and age when time equals money and so few people do more than what's required of them. She was extremely professional and had me lay on my back so not to be in pain with holding up my neck. I have dealt with chronic muscle tension due to stress for most of my adult life. I found this place through reviews online because my favorite day spa was shut down recently and I needed a new home for deep tissue. The parking lot is a little tiny but I arrived around 5pm and the lot was relatively empty. The neighborhood is residential and the navigation to this location was easy enough. You approach the entrance from the back of the building from the parking area, and leave your shoes at the door (so don't wear your best shoes coming here, though mine were not stolen if you're paranoid just save yourself the worry). The room is very quiet and minimalistic, and the individual therapy bedrooms are the typical size (twin bed with some room around) if you have had massages before. My therapist was Chontelle and I absolutely loved her holistic approach to her recommendations on improving my stress and overall health. She had a calm voice and a good grasp on what was too much or too little pressure. For deep tissue, this is absolutely important (or you could be injured or uncomfortable). The prices are incredibly reasonable for the quality of service you get, so I provided a good tip! read more

This was seriously the best massage I've ever had. I went to Day Day Therapy yesterday for the first time after reading such great reviews. My masseuse was Aurora and she was phenomenal. I later found out that it was her first day at DDT, but practicing for over 6 years and she was just amazing. I loved the atmosphere at DDT. There is a cute sign asking clients to leave/not steal better shoes which I thought was funny. I loved how everyone, including the people that work there walk around barefoot. It really gave me a relaxing and comfortable feeling. I am a dog walker/pet sitter which is my dream job, but it can be strenuous at times if you do not take proper care of your body and wellness. I had recently worked a very busy 3 weeks straight without a day off as my boss was hiking Everest base camp. She obviously takes great care of her body! I have had a degenerative disc problem since I was 26 (32 now) that only gives me problems when I go too long without performing my PT core strengthening/stretching exercises but I had fallen behind the last few months and started to feel the consequences. I quickly got back to it but recently noticed how tight and tense my whole body felt... the most tense I can really recall ever feeling for a few days straight. I went to cryotherapy for the first time, which was nice, but as expected, I did not get much relief from one visit. I sat in jury duty for the first time ever from 7:45am until 5:15 and duty our break I decided to make an appointment for DDT. I was able to get in that evening without a problem. I enjoyed how quick and easy the process to book an appointment was, as well as how friendly they were over the phone. Aurora did not waste any time when I arrived. She was at the front desk to greet me and take me right back which I really enjoyed. Jury duty ran over and I arrived only 2 minutes before my appointment so I was concerned changing time and papers would cut into massage time so I was ready to move fast and so was she, which I appreciate. The massage... I have had many massages and from my experience, most generally involve similar techniques with some new and unique moves thrown in throughout. Aurora used techniques that I had never felt before and it was not only refreshing, but I could feel the tension breaking down throughout each move. It felt like she was massaging every part of every muscle with a well thought out plan of not only rubbing the muscles to relief, but breaking them down from the start and pushing the stress/tension out of the body in a noticeable but could not be more relaxing way. As mentioned, I felt extremely tight and there were a couple times that she dug into an over-tense muscle/knot (as she should and I really enjoy because it's needed) and usually I uncontrollably move a little but I concentrated on my breathing throughout as I know that helps remove toxins and stress and I really could feel the knots being massaged out of my body. After she rubbed my right leg and laid it next to my left, I could feel such an obvious difference in the two. My right felt like jello or puddy and my left leg felt so stiff and unhealthy. I have never noticed such an obvious difference before and I loved it. Aurora incorporated pressure point massage techniques, which were incredible. The head/neck massage is out of this world and I have never had one like it. She took every technique and just made it that much better. I can't say enough good things about Day Dream Therapy, everyone that works there and Aurora- as you can tell from this super long review! I am overdue on reviews, this is why I don't write them, but this review jumped to the top of my to-do list! I just had a massage with Chontelle and it was maybe the best massage I have ever had. I have long-standing cramping and restless leg syndrome issues. She was very familiar with the problem; a member of her family also has restless leg. She did a lot of work on all the muscle groups of my legs, working out months worth of tightness and knots and giving me a running commentary on what she was doing and ways that I could reduce my problems at home. After she finished with the legs, she worked on my back and noted that I had been lifting incorrectly, which was certainly true. So I left Day Dream very relaxed and had no cramping or restless leg last night. I'll be back soon. Chontelle herself couldn't have been nicer or more supportive. read more

She is friendly and caring and since she's a physical therapist in addition to being a masseuse she provides assisted stretching as part of her massages. The atmosphere at her office is calm and pleasant. I started going to her because I had back pain and a sciatica problem.
