We focused on the North and East side of the lake, but we're already planning our next trip back, and will take a tour of the South and East side of the lake next time. Good vibes and EPIC day kayaking in Tahoe with Day Go Adventures!! Anddd YES, Anthony lives up to the 5 star reviews with above & beyond customer service from start to finish. After trying to find a kayak company closer to Stateline to accommodate our Tahoe adventure needs, we exhausted multiple other avenues until my friend successfully found Day Go Adventures via our trusty Yelp app. We read over reviews, logged on to the website with ease, booked the first two single-kayaks and then oopsy the other singles were already booked up for the day. Unfortunately, there wasn't an option to cancel one of the singles so we booked a tandem-kayak rental with the hopes we would be able to either cancel the single or bow to fate and make it work and we did try to contact via the telephone number provided but it was 7PM at night (after work hours) so again we took our chances with having the tandem and single. I will say booking, making the payment and signing waivers online was simple, straightforward and easy - LOVING this process! After booking, we gathered up our essentials needed for our trip the next day my phone rang, it was Anthony to go over if we indeed wanted to book 'Full Day' rentals since had opted for an 11AM start time - WOW now that's customer service! I had the opportunity to explain to him what had happened with us not being able to book three (3) single kayaks and that we booked two (2) along with the tandem. He said he would see if possibly there was a third available if not he would cancel one and then only charge for the tandem, again WOW Anthony ROCKS!! He would either call back if it wasn't too late or send an email, we chatted a moment about that we would like to stay on Tahoe as long as possible weather and wind permitting as we have kayaked before. We went over how the winds normally pick up between 1pm and 3pm so if that was the case we would call it a day but if it stayed calm we would like to stay out longer, he was again willing to oblige or suggested a Half Day rental. Either way we agreed that whatever would work best and would see him tomorrow. The next day arriving at Cave Rock, Anthony was there to greet us at the cove with an added bonus of Hobie kayaks that were a complete upgrade of what we have used in the past, these have peddles! Our Tahoe excursion for the day just got taken up a notch, not only could we paddle on the water but we could peddle - WOOT WOOT!! Anthony went over the equipment with clear, easy instructions and off we went for our fantabulous day!! We couldn't have asked for a better picture perfect day as we glided blissfully out of Cave Rock along the shoreline to our secret Beaver Cove then continued down along our epic adventure of absolutely pristine conditions of 73 degrees, no wind with Tahoe's vibrantly bluish-green brilliantly dancing against the sun with what felt like maybe two (2) boats, couple of jet skis and just the three (3) of us out on the impressive beauty of Tahoe all the way down to Glenbrook then returning to the cove to call it an AWESOME & EPIC day! We would have stayed on the water longer however Anthony and us had our inner Rockers calling us to Stateline to rock out to the Scorpions and Queensryche!! Can't say enough about Anthony and his staff they make the excursion so enjoyable. We did the tandem kayak with foot pedal. We had a blast moving along the coast north from Cave Rock beach to Deadman's point and back. We are movers and shakers so we did that is less than 4 hours. If you're in South Lake Tahoe and would like to kayak, I highly recommend Day Go Adventures. Booking an appointment, making the payment and signing waivers online was very easy! We got a bit lost trying to find the rental area (follow instructions via your email confirmation), but we called Anthony and he gave us great directions. Head to the boat landing at Cave Rock. If you're coming from the CA side, it is right before the tunnel and right after from the Reno side. Once we found Anthony, he was super friendly and gave us some tips on where to go since the water was a bit choppy that day. We reserved two hours, but since the water was choppy, Anthony offered to refund us an hour if we decided we were feeling uneasy and just wanted to spend an hour on the water. I couldn't recommend kayaking through these guys enough!!!!! Every person who we met/spoke to was sooo pleasant and kind. Pricing is comparable to every other kayak rental we looked at in the Tahoe area. I booked over the phone with Ellen, who was sooooo helpful (looked at multiple days/times to find what worked for our group), encouraged us to bring our dog even when I was uncertain, and was just the sweetest lady. Laurie was our bus driver from the parking lot to the dock, and she was literally so sweet, basically a tour guide through the area. On the way back she gave us granola bars! And the guys working down at the dock who got us set up and helped us get our dog on the kayak were so nice and friendly. An overall perfect experience. My wife and I were scheduled to ride on a Saturday morning. At 11:30pm Friday, I looked at the weather and saw it was going to be cold and choppy. Sunday's forecast looked much better - I was worried. So I set an alarm to call Anthony first thing Saturday morning to see what we can do. When my alarm went off, I saw that I already had a text from Anthony telling me what I saw the night before - the weather was nasty and he told me to call him. We spoke and agreed Sunday looked much better. So he rebooked me - easy as could be. Sunday, we met Anthony and Chris and they got us on our way. The pedal kayaks were new to us - and took some getting used to. I was worried they were like paddle boats...which are a horrible experience. They were nothing like that. They require hardly any effort (my legs are not sore at all after 2 hours of pedaling). Imagine pedaling on a stationary bike on its lowest setting. The steering is a game-changer for kayaks...really a great new kayak technology that has me shopping to buy one. If you prefer to paddle like a regular kayak, that's available. I tried it - but the seat was a little too high for conventional paddling and it didn't really make sense since the pedals worked so well...so I quickly went back to pedaling. The views were amazing. We saw a lot of wildlife and of course the natural beauty of Tahoe. Coming back in, Chris was ready for us and helped bring us in. He pulled us up to shore so we wouldn't get wet. He was great to chat with - offered a great lunch spot in Tahoe to try out. (A quick tip: parking can be a pain at the meet up spot, so get there 15-30 minutes early. There are very few car spots - mostly boat trailer parking, so it's a competition to get in. Luckily, we were the last spot - they put up the "parking lot closed" sign right after we parked. It looks like you can park along the highway, but can be dicey crossing it on foot...get there early and park in the lot. $10 park fee...which is used to help keep Tahoe and its parks clean...so no problems paying that.) I highly recommend Day Go and look forward to going back! read more

We met him at sand harbor he even paid for our parking because that day they were taking cash or checks only no credit cards and we came unprepared (FYI always have cash for parking when you go there) we paid for half a day which was plenty of time. He suggested we go early and I'm glad he said so because we got out on the water pretty much before everyone else. So nice! His kayaks are pretty awesome and you get to where you want to go much faster. He provides you with everything you need! We will definitely contact him again next summer! Loved our experience tandem kayaking. I came across DayGo Adventures after reading a few blog posts that recommended this service. Cave Rock was about 13 minutes away from our hotel on the main strip. My Husband and I booked a 9am slot on our Anniversary morning. Anthony was super helpful and informative. The water was clear & calm, weather in the Summer was perfect & parking was no hassle. After some tips & education on handling the equipment Anthony had us on our way. The tandem peddling Kayaks made it super relaxing to peddle and take in the scenery and take lots of pictures. Although we booked a 4 hour slot, Anthony was chill & told us to come back whenever we wanted. We packed sandwiches & docked in a shady cove for lunch. All in all we were on the water for 3 hours. We rented it for four hours and we got there with an hour and half remaining. I was not expecting extra time due to the fact that we were late. After finding out that our hotel didn't open it's kayak rentals until 10am, we searched out a different rental company so we could go out on the lake early the next morning. We found DayGo on yelp and saw that they had rentals available at 7am, exactly what we were looking for! Made the reservation easily online the night before, and he was waiting for us when we arrived at the cove early the next morning. Anthony was fantastic. First off, these are great kayaks. I have a similar Hobie at home and was pleased to see that I would be getting a nice high end pedal kayak to cruise around the lake in, so that was great! He even had the upgraded seats in them ...now I need to buy one for myself after trying it, so comfy! It was a cold morning, 38 degrees at 7am, so I wore my running shoes instead of flip flops, ready to take them off and get cold feet when wading in...No need to, Anthony was the best kayak concierge ever! - he told us to get in and he would pull us out, wow! Feet stayed warm and dry. :) We had a beautiful cruise along a still and quiet lake - at 7am apparently everyone else is still sleeping...I highly recommend you go early if you want a peaceful, calm, beautiful experience, with the lake and views all to yourself. We paddled and peddled for 2 hours, and when returning to the cove, Anthony was there waiting to pamper us again and pull us up to the sand. So spoiled! He even had beach chairs and an easy up set up on the sand for us to relax in post-peddle. So happy we took the time to find DayGo instead of waiting for our hotel kayaks, I highly recommend spending the extra few minutes to drive over to Cave Rock; it was beautiful scenery and lovely coves to pop in and out of, and the service was fantastic.
