I took my 2 grandsons, ages 12 and 16 on the tour. What a blast and very well organized. We started with a safety talk which included how to raft, what to expect and then introduced to our guide. Our guide, Simon, was the AWESOME! She was our captain and kept us on the best course for an awesome experience. OMG, we all had so much fun, got wet laughed, dipped in the calm water, then wooshed around the rapids, repeatedly. The trip was from Boca to Floriston with class I-III rapids. They also have a photographer who captured just about everything. I highly recommend this company. We will definitely do this again. Thanks Tahoe Whitewater.

Thank you so much Tahoe Whitewater Tours for the best memorable first experience ever for 1) giving us a full refund for 2 members of our group that had to cancel 48 hours before 2) making an exception to our Bachelorette Party group to all be in 1 boat 3) taking amazing photos of us and driving us safely. (Shout out to Chris for being awesome on that!) 4) pairing us with Joey AKA Seaweed, the best guide ever- he was so clear in directions, made the 3 hour ride so enjoyable by getting to know us, enabling us to get to know him, and giving us great recommendations/tips! We loved it and would come back for more advanced classes!!

Just went rafting with Tahoe Whitewater today !!! What an amazing experience. We had an absolute blast!!! Chris was our safety guide and photographer from his kayak. Adam did our safety briefing which fun and we learned so much ! Diesel was our rafting guide and man I gotta say an absolutely fun character... he left us laughing all the way and had so much knowledge about local area. I learned so much about my home area that I didn't know. He shared his story and how he became a rafting guide and what is required. The river was low at 500 fps, but that was perfect for our group of four aged 58 to 62. Super easy float that anyone can do... and even if you are a non-swimmer. This company is very safe and very professional. We will be back with them next spring to run from Verdi to Mayberry Park. Can't wait !!! Chris was also helpful with my questions on my interest in getting started in inflatable kayaking and gave me great advice. Solid, positive fun loving crew who also care about the river environment! Go!!! You know won't be disappointed!

Super amazing river guide and fun and friendly staff. Emily, our river guide, made us feel safe while teaching us about the river and most importantly made our trip so much fun.

    Whoa baby!!! Turn!

Wonderful service, great guides, super location! My family highly recommends Tahoe Whitewater. I'm 68 with a new knee and a new shoulder and Ivan our team leader placed our family with Brice. All the guides were amazing, we got to see close up Ivan, Skler, Sage, Diesel &Willow and they were like magicians on the Whitewater. But, thank you! Thank you!!! Ivan for placing this old guy with Brice. Our ride down the river was like riding in a Lexus but we were in a raft. Brice trained us well on how and to paddle to help him out but with his steering thru out the course we really didn't need to work that hard at all, it was amazing! If you're on the fence on whether or not you can handle Whitewater rafting, take it from this old guy, you have to go to Tahoe Whitewater, you will truly be in good hands!

She is the perfect instructor and I felt safe, comfortable and never in a rush! While paddling her husband joined us and both of them were friendly and provided lots of information on the area. When the lesson was over they gave me tips of where to go and I ended up at Sand Harbor (State Park) where i played volleyball on the beach and got a nice tan by a wonderful and breathtaking beach! Thank you Le Grand Adventure for the unforgettable experience! Wish you much success! Valeria

Looked to Yelp to help me find a tour that worked for us and happy to find Tahoe Lake Tours! Booking online was easy enough. Looking on Wednesday for a Friday morning time slot and there it was: 9:30-1:30 was perfect. The web site states exactly what will happen during the 4 hours and offers a phone number to call for questions. Parking and check in were easy and Captain Dan was ready for us. The boat was clean and well stocked with life jackets that fit for both adults and children (ages 8,6,4) as well as water bottles. Before leaving the dock we were offered water for a cooler which we didn't need but the offer was appreciated. Our 4 hours: 1. Safety information 2. Review of our preferences for the tour 3. Lots of history of the area as we toured 4. Emerald Bay & Mrs. Knights castle 5. Water tubing (first time for the grandkids) 6. Hang out time for a snack (we brought lots LOL) 7. Back to the marina Dan was very knowledgeable and great with the kids. We would definitely book with Tahoe Lake Tours again and request Captain Dan. Thank you for a great ending to our week in Tahoe!

Geology Tours Tahoe, feels like you're in a Jumani type of adventure with fun hands-on science learning and experience. Signing up for this I didn't know what to expect, as this is beyond my comfort zone, dealing with high terrain, and digging for crystals. But Dr. Montana Hodges made the event so fun in a way that even a non-science person like myself was really engaged. We traveled 45 minutes up a bumpy road with plenty of beverages and snacks that would have lasted a few days! Then we made it to our destination where we learned of the history of Crystal Peak, and how the Truckee river came to be and the various Prehistoric eras. There were plenty of tools to pick and choose from in a group of 7 of us. This definitely was a Sunday adventure to never forget. I was able to luckily find a crystal, so I felt accomplished. There are several tours that Montana provides that I would love to attend! She is very engaging and personable that I felt a connection to Science that I may not have had when I was taking Geology in College. It was neat to learn about Jurassic park, and how the dinosaurs were technically from a different prehistoric era than depicted. Also given the fact that Montana dedicated half of her day to take us on our high terrain excursion, and then had a long hours drive ahead of her the same day was beyond impressive! I'll definitely be looking to plan another Tour adventure and see what other learnings are in store!

Before we even stepped into the mine, Gary sat us under a tree and told the story of Virginia City and The Comstock Load. I've lived in Northern Nevada for years, and he still taught me things I had never heard before! It was a great reminder of just how much fascinating history we have right here in our own backyard. I also appreciated how patient and thoughtful he was with everyone in our group, especially the children and those who needed a little extra time walking through the mine. He made sure everyone felt included. As a bonus, Gary is also an author! I ended up buying one of his books (I collect children's books for my office), and he has written other books too.
