Other than some picnic tables and a port-a-potty, there aren't any services here. They do have signs posted that overnight trailer parking is not permitted (but maybe camper parking is?). There was another sign that there's a high bacteria level and wading is not recommended. Enjoy the park and being near the water! [Review 398 of 2025 - 2045 in Florida - 23960 overall]

Lee County Parks & Recreation took over responsibility of the North Shore Bridge Access from the State of Florida in August of 1987. A pier was added to the park in 2000 which was paid for with proceeds from the three cent bed tax imposed on short-term tourist stays in Lee County. The park is home to the Edison Sailing Center which offers sailing and power boat safety lessons here. Note that although North Shore Park has a beach, swimming is not permitted. Restroom facilities are port a potties. I enjoyed taking a walk on the trail that runs from the parking lot to the base of the bridge. You can get a stunning view of the river, especially at sunset.

Grown men were also sick, so I didn't feel like such a wimp. The two in our group who weren't sick caught plenty of fish. The following day I went backwater fishing with a guide instead, and caught some fish. If you're looking for something affordable this is a great route. But definitely take dremamine!!!

The cruise was from 9:30am to 4pm, with 2 hours traveling out and 2.5 hours traveling back for 2 hours of fishing. That's if we stayed in one spot. We hit multiple no-fish-found locations that had us cruising around some more. Nobody talked to us while we were fishing, nobody gave us any advice, nobody cared at all that everyone but two of us were skunked for the day. In fairness, if we talked to the mate, he was nice, but only if we talked to him. We'd be fishing, the engine would randomly start, and we'd take off. Presumably to the next spot. The last time we just headed in. Nobody said anything to the people fishing. Nobody said that they were sorry for no fish, thank you for coming out to fish with us today, or anything at all. Nothing. Zero. Zippo. They apparently didn't pack any give-a-darn on the boat that day. As a life-long fisherman and user of charter captains for decades, I've never had an experience like this. They Really. Did. Not. Care. Even more disappointing was arriving back at the docs at the end of the day and see other boats tossing huge carcasses to the pelicans. A bad fishing day is a bad fishing day, but it sure looked like there were fish to be caught, and at least our boat was never able to put us on them. They lost some repeat customers.

Myers area to take you and a buddy out on the water in search for some great fishing! My buddy and I were traveling down from Wisconsin and New York, Cpt. Paul was totally flexible about scheduling a time that worked for our flights arrivals. Gave us the go-ahead to bring some refreshments and a few cold ones out on our trip. He was right on time at the dock, he was even out before our scheduled time catching bait fish which we didn't have to waste time doing during our charter. Cpt Paul was super patient with some of our not so stellar casts and gave us plenty of insight to help with technique. When the fish weren't biting like we hoped for he moved us to different area's and found us action. All in all we had an incredible day catching tons of fish, laughing, catching up with one of my best friends that I don't get to see often. Cpt. Paul is a superb fishing guide, super knowledgeable (been in the area for a long time), and a great guy to spend the day with on your charter. Will go out of his way to make sure everyone is having a good time, comfortable and safe. I highly recommend Cpt. Paul and will for sure give him a call if we make it back down to the area again!! Thanks for the memories!
