It's been a little over three years since we had daco install a new​ heating and cooling system . Fantastic! I worry about nothing . They set me up on a 3-month program to test and check everything and take care of my filters . I would encourage anyone to at least call them when making your decision. Price was within a few hundred of everybody else . Service is everything you would hope , maybe better than what you would expect . The technician showed up within three or four minutes of the time that they estimated . This was one of those fantastic times that everything worked out as well or better than you could hope for . We were very satisfied with Dayco when the put our system in and for about 9 years after. I don't know what has happened to them recently, but I would not recommend them. We pay for a Premium maintenance service and are supposed to have 24 hour emergency service. We couldn't get ahold of anyone for days. They are using an AI answering system that doesn't work. Left several messages and got no response. When I finally got ahold of a human I was told I had to make an appointment because we already used our visit limit,which was only 2 visits a year and that was for maintenance. So not sure what premium service I'm getting! I canceled it and will get someone else to do maintenance. Im sure I cando better than t h e $520 I was paying yearly. Never did get a call back. Upon returning from travel I found error codes on my Trane thermostat. My heating and cooling system was installed by Dayco ~10 years ago and they have been servicing the system since it replaced the house's original Trane system. A Dayco tech came to my house in one day. The tech did not seem prepared to diagnose my problem and spent a great deal of his time on the phone w/ ??? trying to find out what the error codes meant. The issue was traced to a disconnect on my air handling unit. I was told that the disconnect needed to be replaced but that Dayco could not do the job. My question is, since Dayco installed the disconnect, why can they not replace it. I have called an electrician. read more

First of all the service and staff were great. Everyone was nice and on time. No complaints about the service. Quality work! However it was the bill that I was concerned with. I called just for a normal yearly AC/Heat service. While being serviced I was informed I had a run capacitor that needed replaced and the service worker told me it was still under warranty. Awesome...no charge for the part. Then he informed me a maintenance charge would apply....a 45 dollar maintenance charge on top of the 194 dollars for the service. Weird, right? I asked to see where the part was and how it was to be installed (picture of part show above). Took less than 5 minutes. So I was charged 194 dollars for the overall service and 45 dollars for maintenance of a warranty part that took less than 5 minutes to replace. I was super nice to the staff at my home and to the representative on the phone when I had questions, they were nice as well. So I get it....I was charged for labor of the yearly service and labor again for changing out the capacitor. So I technically got double charged for labor when they were at my house less than an hour working. 5 stars to the staff at my home and representative on the phone. 5 stars for the service. BUT 0 STARS FOR BILLING!!! My business will go elsewhere unless billing changes. If you want good service and to possibly be double charged for labor call Dayco. Our AC went south during the numerous triple digit days, got an appt. the same day (started calling early) The techs Nick and Seth were fantastic, polite and helpful. Diagnosed issue within 5 minutes, and steared us away from another potental problem by replacing a part that was going to go out. We went from 81 inside to 73 in a matter of 3.5 hours. Phenomenal service and attention to detail. Would not hesitate to recommend them. The cost was very, very competitive and they did not try to sell something I didnt need. Scheduled a service call for 4:30pm. Waited for an hour. No one showed. Called to see what happened. They claimed the tech was here and waiting. Not possible. I was here the whole time. Now it's "after hours" which means parts/etc are at inflated "after hours" pricing. No thank you. read more

A/C: 3 star: I would recommend Dayco for A/C because they service Trane. My experiences have been mixed. I recommend get promises for credits in writing from them! One manager did not guarantee a longshot repair job but said he would give me a credit for the repair ($400) toward the purchase of a new A/C if the repair did not work. I only agreed to the longshot repair relying on the manager's statement that I would have a credit if it did not work. When the repair did not work and I had to buy a new A/C, Dayco refused to give me the full credit, only half. The manager said it was my misunderstanding. If it was MY misunderstanding it was only because of his misrepresentation! Only after moving my concerns up the management chain did the General Manager ultimately decide to give us a full credit. I hope this warning can save others from the frustration I experienced before receiving the full credit I believe was originally promised to me. Lesson Learned: GET IT IN WRITING! Additionally, they refused to give us the service history on the A/C unit based on 'privacy laws.' The unit isn't a person; they aren't medical records. There's nothing inherently private or confidential about the service history. It seemed like they were hiding something from us.... On the other side of the Dayco house is the electrical. I have used Dayco for electrical numerous times without issues and would rate the electrical 4 stars. read more

Yesterday, I had my semi-annual maintenance on my Trane. I had had two previous visits. They sent a woman who was the first of her gender to work on my equipment. SHE WAS SPECIAL. She did the most thorough of maintenance I have seen on the equipment. I have watched over the last two years in order to maintain the equipment but I learned more from her. I finally gave up on this company regarding their maintenance service. I have an 15 year old American Standard air conditioning which they've maintained on and off over the years. In the past, I've had very good recommendations from their technicians regarding care, repair and longevity of the HVAC. This past February, I called them to fix the HVAC unit icing up. Cost me $2k. Fair enough. Shot bearings, old refrigerant more expensive, new sensors, yata, yata. I got a little behind on the maintenance, my fault. But 2months later, it iced up again. I called up for the warranty but they tried to charge me anyway. And as I write this review, it iced up again. In sum, they don't guarantee their labor. It seems that they just get somebody off the street these days to do their maintenance. One of the technicians actually recommended me to do an entire HVAC replacement, ducting, rerouting and all!!!!! The house is 15 years old...... it'll be a $20K-$30K for all the new stuff he wanted me to incorporate!! Must've thought I had money just laying around. Lol. Doesn't even make sense. Regarding knowledge and service. Still no recommendations to prevent icing up the unit......Just not to cover it because of airflow. Didn't even address the problem. Sad. LIke Kump S. said, I will never do business with this company again. It's a shame. I've given them 12 years plus of business as a loyal customer. Definitely lost my business. Finally, they cost $20 more than other companies around the area just for the diagnostic! I am always willing to pay a little more for good service but this company isn't it. read more

Dayco provided terrible service for both our house and our rental. I would not use this company. We had them come out this summer because our heat pump wasn't working. This is after we'd already purchased 2 heat pump systems from this company, well in excess of $20,000!!! .. they came and said they would run a diagnostic test, but they neglected to do that. Two months later the leak in our system had leaked so much that now we have a roof that is completely water damaged! We're going to have to pay at least $1,000 to fix the damage that they caused! We've been trying to work through this with Dayco but they refuse to even talk to us! It's frustrating because now we're stuck paying thousands of dollars to repair our roof damage! I would Not do business with this company!!! They've caused damage at both our house and our rental house. I've tried to work with them but they refuse. We utilized two other [recommended] HVAC companies prior to landing with Dayco. A salesman was out the very next day, and was quite informational about our entire furnace/heat pump and ducting. He was able to set up a complete install within a few days, and also included an entire duct system overhaul. Our efficiency for the ducts alone improved over 80%~ Our new furnace system is like night and day difference from the original, runs quieter, more efficiently, and we have the "cool guy" thermostat that allows us to make adjustments from our phones. When I originally called for A/C repair service 3 weeks ago, I received great service by your field support A/C maintenance (I forgot his name). Since my A/C was old and the coil stared leaking, it was recommended to plan for a replacement system. To help me with that planning, Mr. Dan Garcia was called and he came by my house on the same day and made recommendation and gave me options. He also gave me an early quote. I did like his recommendations because he was not out there pushing a product and make a sell. He did a good job in my opinion. I also called another reputable local Heating and A/C company and they did similar evaluation and provided me with options and quote. Even though the other company's certified quote for replacement of my A/C system was ~$300 lesser, I still chose Dayco Heating and A/C because of my experience with Mr. Dan Garcia's support and the feedback we read from online. I found out it was a good decision. Dayco Heating and A/C did a great job replacing my A/C system. Mr. Raul and Mr. Noe both very professional, technically knowledgeable and customer sensitive came over and worked on replacing my old A/C system. They work professionally from ~8am until ~2pm, replacing the old A/C unit with the new Trane System. Every time they wanted to get in the house they asked and put on clean booty over their shoes, which I did not expected. They did an awesome job replacing the old A/C unit. Finally when they finished, they asked me if everything was to my satisfaction, which I told them yes it was. They also kept the entire place nice and clean when the left. I do want to point out the other gentlemen who did the electrical work on my new A/C was also very professional and did a great job (sorry I forgot his name). Dayco installed our heat pump less than 10 years ago. It failed under warranty. They didn't offer to repair it. Instead sent a salesman out to sell me another system. Salesman told several lies. I wouldn't recommend Dayco to my enemy. read more

The Dayco crew has done a good job installing our new heat pump system. Utilizing and adding to the existing ductwork has taken time to sort out to get proper air flow. Dayco has always shown up as scheduled - on time or before. There were a few warranty details to work through and they have handled them promptly. Our new system uses about $50 per month less electricity than the old system, and is much quieter. read more

We were given a verbal quote for parts and services. Received a bill after part of service was done. I called and was told the price did not include the actual piece to make fire pit functional. I know and the service man who gave the quote knows that the price given included the final piece. I would not recommend this company. They lied to me and did not finish the work. read more

We purchased a brand new Alderbrook home about seven months ago. Around the first of the year the Bosch (bluetooth) Thermostat that came with our new home stopped working. Being a new house we contacted the home builder (Alderbrook) and made them aware of the problem. They said it's under warranty and to contact Dayco Heating and Air to have it replaced. So we called and their technician put in a "temporary" (non-blue tooth) Honeywell Thermostat to hold us over. They needed to order a new Bosch Thermostat because they did not stock them. Weeks went by and when we called them back to see where the new thermostat was they said they did not order it. So I called the owner of Dayco Heating and Air (Terry) and asked why did they not order it when they said they would. Terry said that the Bosch Thermostat were unreliable and they stopped using them. I said that is fine as long as we can get an equivalent Thermostat like the Bosch to replace the "temporary" Honeywell Thermostat that is still in our house. Terry said he would get back to be once the winter weather emergency calls died down. That was four weeks ago. Starting last week I left multiple messages on the owner's voice mail about the thermostat problem not being resolved and am not getting any response back. Update: The new Thermostat has been installed. Thank you. read more
