The space: The Retreat is a cute bungalow that was updated and transformed into a doctor office and a space for Kelly. It's so cute and cozy and relaxing inside. It does not feel clinical like a doctor's office and is more homey and less pretentious than a spa. The products: this is not your Walgreens fluff facial; I've had a facial at a fancy boutique hotel in South Tampa and it accomplished nothing more than cleaning and shining my face. Big whoop. Kelly uses clinical grade products and (key for me) not tested on animals! Why spend money on a fluff facials where they put some great smelling product on your face but it doesn't *DO* anything to change your skin?! The facial: I got a chemical peel and could tell sense the warming and tingle throughout the process, so I could tell it was working but I left without ever being bright red/pink, which was my fear. She even included some very much needed arm/wrist/hand massages since she learned I was a 9to5 gal. Kelly: super sweet and accommodating. I was 10 minutes late and stressed about that but she made me feel at ease. She asked what I wanted out of the facial and she delivered. She tackled those yucky clogged pores and made sure whatever she put on my face was working its magic but not stinging or burning too much. I would definitely return and recommend this business.

I was told that this session would be free and that I would be receiving 24 more vists for $200/mo no interest. After paperwork was completed- he said it's $300/mo and 35.9% APR. I said no. Cancel everything. The Italian guy tells me the refund person will contact me shortly. I called 2 days later asking about status of cancellation. The same Italian guy was acting surprised, and tried to get me to keep the program. I insisted on cancellation and refund. Since the date of the initial appointment they have not responded. I have left voicemails, texts and call daily. I will be visiting them in person this Saturday if I haven't heard back. More to come.

Not sure if this is still true, but back in the day, I believe PCP's received bonuses to keep cost down: 1) A practice was paid a capitated fee by the HMO based on how many patients they could see in their group and the per patient cost. Therefore, the doctors spent little time with each patient, i.e - get each person in and out quick. This is important because Tanya takes time with each patient. She actively listens while looking one in the face to hear all issues or concerns that the patient has. She takes the time for each person. 2) Doctors were (are?) hesitant to refer out patients to specialist because it is more expensive and drives up their per patient cost. This is important because Tanya is quick and willing to refer her patients to the best specialist in town or the best in one's network if in an HMO. Also, she typically either knows who this specialist is or will take the time to look up instead of making one find someone themselves and just guessing. A Rejuvenated Healthcare is a small private practice that is flexible on appointments, quick to make appointments, does not overbook, and on time for an appointment. They do not book patients for a 2:30 appointment when they know they might not see them till 3 or 3:30 pm because others are running late or the practice itself may be running late - i.e. your time is not treated as "more valuable than their's"). Second, they will see minors. Nice to take your teenagers to a doctor that does not have a bunch of sick snotty 3 year olds running around with Barney and the Muppets on the walls!
