These donuts were fine--nothing bad and nothing awful. The inside of the gilding was basic and had no seating. The staff were helpful but not overly friendly. At the end of the day, this place gets to job done but doesn't do much more than that. read more

Awesome donut store. Went at 10 o'clock at night and the donuts we got were fresh. They are definitely trying hard to make it a nice place.

I went here because they open up before the sun comes up and I was craving something sweet. The service is alright, I bought six donuts & the flavor was just lacking. I went to get my kids donuts this morning and my youngest really wanted a strawberry sprinkle doughnut. The lady said they were out so he was trying to decide on a different flavor. He was having trouble deciding, so the lady said she would make one real quick especially for him. Look how she covered it in sprinkles!! This isn't the first time they have gone out of their way to do something special for us when we have have gone there. I love daylight donuts. I try to bring business to local businesses. I had not been to Daylight Donuts so was happy to see someone ordering at the window. I checked out the menus and waited to order. I saw someone cleaning etc... It took me a few minutes to realize she was purposely ignoring me, but then again I could be mistaken. I knocked on the window and was rather shocked at her response. She barked at me that "we are closed", and rapped on the window which had a handwritten note. It was embarrassing. I told her the front window still had an open sign and she sarcastically told me "sorry". I was looking at all these donuts on the shelves and was shocked she wouldn't sell me a few. I will never go there again. I want my food to be served with kindness and not the bitterness and attitude I was given. DO NOT GO THERE. read more

I love their croissants with Ham & cheese ! Since I don't eat eggs for allergies they're able to make their sandwiches for me without the egg and today I am trying the sausage and cheese on a croissant. I also love the fact that they are open 24 hours a day seven days a week 364 days a year since they are closed one day a year! read more

I went through the drive-thru and ordered a dozen glazed. He could not speak English very well, but he repeated the order back to me, I paid, he handed me the bags, I had to ask for a receipt. Topeka is blessed with good donut shops. This particular one is open 24 hours a day, making fresh fried dough confections all the time. :) The are super-friendly and have a great selection. (A great selection of filled donuts too!) Thank goodness they aren't too close to my home so the intake is limited to a few times a year. read more

Been here a couple of times lately. The place is oddly big for a doughnut place, but it's nice to have the extra space around you if you dine in. It's definitely not the nicest inside, but you still feel like everything is clean. They're currently trying to do frozen yogurt Orange Leaf style, which will be nice once they get that all set up. But to the important rating: the doughnuts are really good and quality prices. You should definitely try them out! read more

Donuts price little high. From where I come from. My long john Donut doesn't taste fresh other Donuts about same way

I had to be at work at 5am and came by this place at around 4:40 am. I simply ordered 20 donut holes. 10 chocolate 10 cream filled. When I got to work I had 10 chocolate and 10 glazed. Not only that, but one would think that, that early in the morning the fresh stuff would be coming out for the early birds, but I was wrong. The donut holes I had were definitely at least a day old and sort of stale. I might be a bit naive thinking they would have fresh stuff at 440 in the morning, but a bakery that's going to be 24 hours a day should do exactly that. read more

Staff is friendly and the prices are more than fair. But honestly, the donuts are just "meh". They have no distinct flavor that makes me specifically crave returning to Daylight Donuts. Frosting aside, the taste of the bread used in these donuts is rather bland, similar to the donuts you'd find at your local grocery store bakery. They get kudos for being open 24 hours, but I can get the same style of donuts cheaper at the supermarket. read more

Love this place. I always come here for donuts as I see them as the 'original' donut shop on 21st street. My only complaint is that I often want good coffee with my donuts, so I get my donuts at Daylight and go to Dunkin Donuts down the street for a drink. read more
