Absolutely phenomenal breakfast at Bradley's Corner Cafe. I ordered the biscuits and gravy special with hash browns and two eggs, and I'm not exaggerating when I say these were the best biscuits I've had in my life. Light, fluffy, buttery perfection -- the kind of biscuit that ruins all other biscuits for you going forward. The gravy was spot-on, and everything on the plate was cooked exactly how you hope breakfast will be. My youngest went with the pork tenderloin sandwich, and it was meaty, crunchy, and legit impressive -- not one of those thin, sad tenderloins. This one delivered. My wife and daughter ordered two eggs with sausage and pancakes, and those came out cooked to perfection. Fluffy pancakes, great sausage, and eggs done right. We used to come here quite a bit and especially for my favorite chocolate peanut butter pie. Have not been back since they changed owners. Finally got my pie after they've been out almost every time we've been there or just didn't make any not sure. And it certainly was not the same as it used to be. The crust tasted on the stale side and it was sitting in liquid when I got it home which shows it was a little bit older. Used to be over 2 inches thick on top, and as you can see in the picture I will post, there were barely any on it.the flavor was OK expecting experiences there. Placed a take out order here and tried a new dish. I arrived early and was asked to take a seat while my order was finished. Multiple staff asked if I wanted a water or anything else while I waited, so I was impressed by the staff and their service. I ordered the biscuits and gravy special, while my friend ordered the full biscuits and gravy, then added eggs and hash browns. My meal was perfect on the portion size; enough to feel full, but not lethargic. Her meal looked amazing, but would have resulted in a nap afterward for me if I'd ordered it. This place was highly recommended for breakfast. So we wanted to try it out. I was not impressed. No sign saying to seat yourself and no one said anything. The waitress gave our food to someone else. Then when she gave us our food, they didn't give us a biscuit we ordered, bacon we ordered, powdered sugar on the French toast was requested like the menu states and it didn't come with powdered sugar, and she didn't give us syrup. I ordered the strawberry French toast, and all it was--was a cup of thawed out frozen strawberries to put on my French toast. The French toast wasn't that great. We planned on trying their pie and she dropped off our check after dropping off our main food and never came back to the table. Maybe came to the table a total of 3 times and that was it. Went this morning. Not very happy. Picked one of the breakfast items with no eggs because I cannot eat eggs. And it came out full of eggs. Was going to ask a worker but they were alllll over the place I saw my server probably 3 times in total and even asked for my check and never got it. It was the reviews that lead me here, so it's only fair I leave one. We stopped here on our route back to CA. We stopped in Flagstaff, AZ for a week and just couldn't stop thinking about the Pecan pie we had. We had another week off work, so we decided to turn around and call in an order for 5 more pies. I waited to review for so my mom could try them, and it passed her highly critical taste in food. My bf's family loved it too. Good portions here. Their biscuits and gravy are some of the best I've ever had. My bf liked whatever he ate, and their grilled chicken sandwich was delicious. My only critique is that they used the cheap, plasticky slices of cheese on my omelette which really lowered the quality of an otherwise good omelette. But everything else is so great about this place i cant ding them a star for it. Can't wait til we're travelling the U.S again so I can get more of those biscuits and pie read more

We always enjoy helping local businesses especially when we're on vacation. Bradley's Corner Cafe was enjoyable. I'm giving it 4 stars based on 5 categories. 1. Service- 3/5- The waitress was friendly and had good manners, but she seemed a little standoffish. We asked for sugar and she pointed at the sugar on the table and didn't consider we wanted sweet and low rather than what's available. She walked away and left us with a feeling of guilt that we inconvenienced her. We weren't given straws and felt like it was a burden to ask her because she kept walking by us with a fast pace avoiding eye contact. 2. Food- 4/5 The chicken fried chicken was picture perfect. Add a little salt and pepper and the meal felt complete. The eggs were excellent. They melted and blended the dish together nicely. Unfortunately the chicken had a few hard spots on the edges of the chicken that made it hard to chew and difficult to cut through. The diner is famous for pie, so we tried their crumble peach pie with a scoop of ice cream. It was enjoyable. Personally, I like my pie a little more firm and the crumbles to have more crunch. 3. Atmosphere- 3/5 I didn't take pictures of the inside because I didn't want to feel rude. The furnishing looked a little dated, there was a tile in the ceiling that looked ready to collapse from water damage. It's a little expected though b/c it's a diner and not a 5 star restaurant. 4. Timeliness- 5/5. We were seated immediately and the food came out just as fast as we could order it. 5. Price- 5/5- we had two full meals more than we could eat, two slices of pie with ice cream, and a cup of coffee for 25 bucks. Very reasonably priced. Overall: 4/5- we enjoyed our breakfast, but it wasn't enough to make us want to return. We are hundreds of miles away, so our opinions might be a little different if we lived closer. read more

The food was very good! Mainly different breakfasts offered all the time, lots of different sandwiches, not many entrees, big case of large selection of all types of fancy pies. I ordered the special? They said barbecued beef sandwich, salad and a side dish., Our group was about 12 people from the Burlington rec center, we had called the day before to check. The whole cafe was very crowded, Not enough servers, very behind, they decided to give us 4 smaller tables instead of one long one so there would be 2 servers involved. They didn't have enough menus, finally 1 of our tables finished ordering and brought us one to share so we'd be ready to order, I tried ordering a soft drink, they had no coke ,,I ordered pink lemonade, it wasn't available, I tried root beer, they said it was A&w, then came back said Mug. Our tables were about 55 minutes from first served to last. They brought my plate/ it wasn't roast beef strips like o thought, just sloppy joe. Since a special wasn't listed I didn't know price until bill. I had to call her back as she didn't bring a salad. I was last one done, the rest went on out. Some ordered pies and I ordered rhubarb boxed to go, to hurry me and save her, she brought credit card machine to table, pushed plates aside, set pie box on table and added it to receipt. Then I went to restroom, and hurried out to our bus, forgetting it? Stopped by here last weekend - I was craving some good breakfast, didn't feel like cooking and thought a café would be a good idea. Bradley's didn't disappoint. When you walk in, you immediately feel like you're in grandmas kitchen. I'm a Midwest boy and they had it down to the same color on the wall I remember growing up. This place has that true small town Kansas feel to it even in light of being in a small city like Topeka. The staff was friendly. It was recommended I get the biscuits and gravy (always my favorite go to for breakfast). They were delicious. Biscuits were perfectly flaky and buttery. This place would probably be good for a Sunday brunch too for anyone who might have a hangover. I definitely recommend stopping by here for breakfast. Next time I think I need to try some of their homemade pie! read more

Our order wasn't up to its usual standard. The mashed potatoes on the open faced roast beef sandwich tasted different than they usually do. They tasted like they were made with water instead of milk. My chicken fried steak and eggs were ok, but I've had better from this establishment. The hash browns were cold and the pancakes were lacking their usual tasty flavor. The service from our waitress was great as always. I've had many 5 star chicken fried steak and eggs with pancakes here. So many that if we have a certain waitress, she just brings me a coffee cup and no menu because she knows my order by heart! read more

Bradley's has been open for a few years now... it's a little gem hidden in North Topkea - but word is getting out! My husband and I recently tried Bradley's for the first time during lunch. We got there around 12:30 and the place was packed! Very busy and very diner-ish feeling. We found a little table right by the door. (Kinda breezy and not recommended during winter months!) It took a few minutes for the waiter to get to us but he wasn't ignoring us - he was genuinely busy! The menu featured classic diner fare - burgers, sandwiches, a few salads, etc. The special of the day was Pan Fried Chicken. There is a whole separate menu dedicated to breakfast which I studied while we waited for the food to arrive - nothing out of the ordinary on there but people rave about the breakfasts at this place and the Cinnamon Buns. So, maybe we'll have to check that out too. As is my way with any new dining venture, I order something I know I've liked in the past so I can compare fairly. So, a cheeseburger & fries it was. My husband ordered a Reuben & fries. The prices weren't too high but they weren't too low, either. About what you'd expect, $6-10 per meal. It took a while for the food to arrive... but real food takes a while, right? It was worth the wait. It was plated nicely and looked very tasty upon inspection. The fries were delicious, the burger had a great flavor. The accoutrements were all on the side as is standard. The bun looked (and tasted) fresh-made and not one of the purchased variety. I'd asked for mayo to dip my fries in and they brought little packets - that, I could have done without, but hey - at least they had it! I'd of preferred a bottle or a little cup. There's just something weird about tearing open little packets of stuff at a sit-down restaurant. We wanted to try one of the pies that had been touted pre-meal by the waiter, but alas, we were just too full. We decided to go back and try the pie on a trip of it's own. The service was fine, no complaints there. What was kinda cool, is you actually have to get up and pay for your meal - the old school way. Seems very few restaurants do things that way anymore. Mostly the wait staff does it for you. Lots of people rave about this place. I will certainly go back again, but I think they may need to expand soon. We watched 3 different groups leave during our visit because there were no more open tables and no where to wait. It felt very "close" and we each had to move more than one to let other patrons pass our table. That aside, it was a pleasant experience. It felt clean and REAL.
