Goodest of mornings Yelpmates…read more Once again we arise in the glorious first world together. So here I am, sharing with you another first world experience. Simple, nothing stupendous, but just as pleasurable as if I were in some far off wonderful place. It's donut time in Junction City, Kansas. Where do I go? Where everyone that knows goes. The Palatial Estate of Donutrous Confectionery- "Donut Palace". It's not all fancy schmancy, but they do donuts fit for royalty. Imagine you take the best french pastry chef in France, all of his knowledge, then make her 8 years old with all that knowledge but an 8 year old sweet tooth, and passion for donuts. Exactly. You know the glaze on a chocolate twist is going to be like slapping a full on Hersheys candy bar, on a twist, then melting it. That thick, chocolatey, and covered. That's how Palace does it. They let the kid within them loose on these donuts. Cinnamon rolls as big as your head. And here's the catch, you know how you see a Cinnamon roll, it looks sooo good, but you know it won't taste near as good as it looks? Not these. These look super goldeny good, and taste amazingly close to the way you told yourself you hoped it'd taste. That good. I got mine home, didn't even nuke it to warm it up. It was perfect out of the box. Just lip smackin', tongue wackin' good. So go do your crossfit, your hot yoga with a goat on your back, some push ups, crunches, burpees, then get over to the Donut Palace for an exceptionally great reason to cheat on your fitness program. If you're into fitness, how about fitniss Cinnamon roll in your mouth? Till next time we meet, here, in this little corner virtual bistro of the web we call Yelp, be nice to yourself, your fam, your friends, and more importantly, a stranger or two. Just walk up to someone with a smile and say hi! They'll either give you a look like you're crazy, and grimace , or a glow will come from within the part of their being that really needed to be acknowledged, and you'll get a smile . Lastly, November is getting closer. If you can vote on a donut,,you can vote in our electoral process. I don't care who you vote for, just be involved in the process. Vote your knowledge, not just your feelings. Vote for crise sake. Practice with my review.

They are so good! You really do wind up saying "Holy Moly" that's good! I love a good fritter and theirs is amazing! Size of my face! I ate too much before thinking of a photo. We also got the donut bites, a cinnamon roll and a dozen glazed/chocolate donuts. Light fluffy and with that incredible little light crunch on the outside and melt in your mouth inside. For those complaining of price, they are in line with other local options. Being local they likely don't have the buying power the chain stores do, yet are still under 2 for most flavors. The fancy ones are under 3 but are like twice the size! Worth it and will return! Service was super nice and friendly! Definitely support this local gem!

The menu is clearly visible right outside the ordering window. The woman working was super friendly and waited patiently while my kids decided. Loved the traditional and unique donut options. We went with a Cinnamon roll, chocolate long jon, old fashioned, and oreo. Each was soft and fresh. Good price for a solid donut!
