Seriously this is the most crack den, ran down, disgusting hotel I have ever stayed in. I truly did not know if my vehicle was going to be there in the morning. If I could give zero stars I would. Luckily it was just me in the room because I'm pretty sure if anyone was with me they wouldn't have stayed. Also one of the beds was broken too. The wallpaper was peeling off the walls and there was mold in the shower. I would only stay here as a last resort. Being I didn't get here until after 1am, I wasn't leaving. The property is in poor condition. The staff seem disinterested. The toilet kept refilling and disturbing sleep. AND when the room heater stopped it made a long screeching sound like a dying cat. The hot breakfast offered eggs. Just little discs of sou vide eggs. Period. Avoid. read more

"Eek! Me thinks not", is right! Exhausted and against my better judgement, I stayed one night. Don't make the same mistake! Unsavory characters hanging out by elevators. Cars with flat tires and broken windows in the dimly lit parking lot. Disgustingly filthy, smelly room. Food crumbs on floor. Burn holes in sheets. Stains on towels. Sticky bathroom floor. Worn, slimy carpet. No refrigerator. Broken towel rack. Dirt in stairwells probably hasn't been swept in months, littered with cigarette butts, cotton swabs and trash. There isn't one clean spot in this hotel! Front and side glass doors look like they haven't been cleaned in at least a week. Cigarette butts all around front and side doorways. Should I go on? Adding to the charm of this hotel, is the location. The partially abandoned mall you have to drive through to get to this hotel, has got unmowed grass and really just looks creepy. Along with the abandoned mall, there are a few abandoned restaurants as well. The only reasons this place gets a star at all, is the proximity to the highway and that latch I swung over on the door after I locked myself in my room. This hotel should change its name to Day Inn because I doubt anyone has ever stayed multiple days after walking into this run down sad, sad excuse for a hotel. Pros - The soap smells fantastic. Free, on-demand Tv with a good selection. Bed was comfortable enough. $60 per night. Cons - 1.) The room was clearly not vacuumed. There were random things all over the floor that we immediately noticed as we walked in (broken chains, trash etc.) 2.) the bathroom was disgusting. Rust everywhere that had evidence of being painted over instead of taken care of. I wet a towel and wiped the counter and there was brown residue all over it with little to no effort. 3.) They leave the previous guests hotel provided toiletries in the bathroom if they haven't been completely used - this is truly terrifying and a health code violation. (Not including soap) 4.) the entire hotel smells like a mix of cigarettes and hooker perfume. read more

Where to start, you drive up to a seemingly abandoned office building converted into an abandoned hotel, get your room key(they are nice enough). Park by the entrance closest to your room.and then... the doors don't latch to the outside so anyone can walk in or out as they please, the hallways are dirty and full of random junk, the room looks like it's never been vacuumed (full of debris and stains) all the furniture is banged up and poorly cleaned, stains on all the bed sheets, I didn't use the mini fridge because it was gross, I immediately went to the local target and bought cleaning supplies and cleaned the room myself, I even bought a cheap bedding set to use ( my company paid for the room so I had to make the best of it). Then after all that I get up in the morning and and attempt to shower but there is no freaking hot water, I tryed the sink and it got Luke warm at best. I told the hotel staff and they assured me the hot water works I go back to my room and let the shower run for almost 15 minutes with only hot on and it never got warm, I will never stay here again. This is actually a negative stars review!! Days Inn has a standard, and this isn't it!!! Booked a room at this location for memorial weekend through booking.com, the reviews on there were 3-4 stars. I thought, "ok, that's pretty good for the rate." Boy was I wrong!!!! It wasn't more than 20mins from the time I arrived until the time I left!!! The reception desk attendant was VERY helpful and understanding. She said that they were under new management and doing renovations (I saw the renovations and gave some leeway in their favor because of that, but still... Damn). She took note of the complaint and the deficiencies, cancelled my reservation, and was very pleasant to deal with (she was the best thing about this hotel). I wish I could find a positive about this place, but I just can't. A marijuana roach under the couch, burn marks on the couch in a NON SMOKING ROOM, mystery stains on the bedding, hair all over the bedding, an electrical junction box without a cover plate to prevent little fingers from getting in there and hurt , the tub was painted and peeling around the drain, the counter was painted and hadn't been cleaned showing nasty finger prints, water damage on the ceiling dry wall above the shower -it was beginning to separate and droop (... read more

The other reviews aren't exaggerations. I booked a room here while driving cross-country, when it was one of the few local hotels with a vacancy. The lobby didn't look too bad. We were directed to the back entrance to get to our rooms, and that entrance and hallways were dirty and poorly maintained. It smelled as well- smoky with an underlying unpleasant... something. There was trash in the one partially working elevator, and it was experiencing functional issues. We were in a non-smoking room but it too smelled strongly of smoke and and grime. The surfaces appeared fairly clean, though there was assorted debris on the floor around the edges of the room and there were numerous water stains on the ceiling, some of which looked like they might still be wet. I turned on the AC hoping the room just needed some airing out to be breathable, but the air blowing out of it, while chilly, smelled strongly of urine, and after a few minutes, the odor did not abate making it impossible to remain in the room long enough to find something elsewhere. We were happy to find a hotel that would accept our dog but when we pulled in front of this hotel, we could sense trouble. There was trash strewn about and groups of random people hanging out in the parking lot. We checked into our room, which had a stained bedspread and a distinct odor of smoke. The telephone in the room didn't work so we went up to the front desk to say we wouldn't stay. The receptionist (who was really nice BTW) didn't seem surprised. We checked into another hotel nearby but further off Route 80. I asked the receptionist there about the Days Inn and she told me that it has a reputation for housing drug dealers and prostitutes. read more

A friend of mine was staying her with her 6 kids while the heat was out of her house. Her room was always clean, allowed pets, pool is a step in with ledge and goes to 4 feet... concrete bottom not tile so that's my only complaint. Carpets were fine. No issues :-) read more

This Place Should be Condemned. Never Never Never Stay Here. Do NOT bring children here. There are drug addicts that sit outside the lobby, homeless in parking lot, broken air conditioner that looked like someone kicked it in and it rattled the whole night, peeling wallpaper, broken outlets, evidence of drug use in bathroom, room reeked of smoke and mold. We worried all night that our car would be stolen or worse. If we were not so exhausted from the road we would of ran away a lot faster. I give this hotel three stars for effort on the part of the staff. Unfortunately, this property has many maintenance and security issues. Just to set some expectations, the most important criteria I consider when writing hotel reviews are "clean, comfortable room". When we first pulled up in front of the hotel at around 2am, we ended up driving right past the main lobby entrance, because it was not clearly signed as the Days Inn, and there were several police cars idling there; it looked like the entrance to a police station. We drove around the hotel, looking for the entrance. At one point, I saw an open door, and, mistaking it for the lobby entrance, I walked in. I didn't find a reception desk, but there was a man lying on a sofa that seemed to be a bit oddly placed. Thinking about it now, we should have moved on to another hotel right then and there. There may have been a perfectly legitimate reason for this person to be there, but the fact is that a person lounging around next to a wide-open exterior door at around 2am indicates a security problem. But I wasn't thinking of security at that moment; I was mostly thinking about how tired my family and I were. So, we drove around until we came back to the only thing looking like a main entrance - the place where the police cars were idling. I was greeted by a friendly desk clerk, who rented us a non-smoking room (all smokers' rooms, he said, were located on an upper floor) for $50. He directed us to drive around to the back of the hotel, where the entrance closest to our room was. We drove back around, and found the door that he had indicated closed - that was good. Upon approaching the door, we saw no cardkey slot - not so good. Then we tried the door, and found that it was not only unlocked, but didn't even have a lock installed - not good at all. We entered the hallway, and promptly got confused. We had an odd-numbered room, but there were only even-numbered rooms in the hallway adjacent to the door, and no signage to indicate where the odd-numbered rooms might be. After a little wandering around, I found our room in an intersecting hallway. The hallways themselves did not inspire confidence, as they bore some resemblance to slum apartment buildings: dimly lit, with obvious repair issues such as peeling paint, broken moldings and worn carpeting. But there are visible security cameras, which at least suggests that someone cares enough to watch. The room itself was basically OK. It was completely dark when we opened the door; it would've been nice to find one light on just to see well enough not to stumble over anything. But we found a light switch within a minute and walked in. There was a medium size dresser, a desk, a chair for the desk, another chair off to the side, and two queen size beds with clean bedding and nicely stuffed pillows. There was plenty of space. Too much space, actually, and the places in the room where the empty space was suggested to me that furniture, such as a utility table, second dresser, and maybe even a small refrigerator, had been removed. There was a mysterious bracket bolted to the back of the desk. The carpeting was worn and faded with age. However, all the furniture in the room appeared to be in good repair. The carpet seemed freshly vacuumed and properly shampooed recently. I checked the beds for signs of bedbugs, and, finding none, we got settled in. The bathroom was dated, and had some repair issues. The sink counter was fine, but the finish on the sink was marred with something yellow. The toilet tank cover was partially open; I checked the mechanism in the tank and then replaced the lid properly. There was porcelain peeling off the sides of the tub. But again, everything looked recently cleaned, and a mat had been installed in the tub as an apparent stopgap until the damage could be fixed. We found the beds very comfortable, and slept well. Other hotel reviewers have reported bedbugs and roaches in their rooms. I'm not going to deny their experiences, but I can tell you that we encountered no bedbugs, roaches or any other kinds of vermin. Complimentary breakfast was fine, consisting of your choice of eggs, a make-your-own waffle bar, breads, pastries, cereals, hot drinks and juices. There was plenty of food, and everything we had was fresh and tasty. So, all in all, I would say that the hotel staff did the best with what they have to make our stay comfortable and pleasant, and for that I give the hotel 3 stars. But the hotel management needs to at least address the maintenance issues, should remodel the hotel, and ABSOLUTELY MUST bring hotel security up to modern safety standards. read more

This hotel is tired. And checking in at 10pm tonight, it seems like a party spot of some sort. The front desk man was outside smoking with people when we pulled up. The A/C unit is super loud. Our ceiling has water spots. The door had to be slammed into to get into the room. The person at the front desk said the pool was already closed, but when we walked by it was full of people. I'm kinda scared to see this place in daylight. After just leaving a Wyndham resort in Williamsburg this morning, I'm very surprised Wyndham has their name on this place. read more

Simply horrifying. I wish I would have researched before I booked the room--I figured, "Days Inn--how bad can it be? Let me tell you: We were stuck in the elevator for 20 minutes. The Men's room in the entrance had both urinals covered in black plastic, there were holes in the wall. There was one functional toilet, for which I'll give them maximum credit. Livid at starting the Memorial (and graduation) Day like this, I asked to speak with the owner, whose visits to his hotel are apparently as common as sightings of Haley's Comet. Day's Inn's corporate office could only say, "We're a franchise, it's really up to the owner...." This place is awful beyond any possible defense... be forewarned. read more

My family and I stopped here last minute as a halfway point on our way home. We were exhausted and just desperate for a place to sleep. The hotel, although claiming to be smoke free, smelled of cigarette smoke in areas and the hallways were incredibly dingy and creepy. The bedroom was... fine although I got the sense not to really touch anything for fear of when they were cleaned last. Breakfast was held in a dining area where everything I touched was sticky or had a film on it. The only thing I trusted to eat was the cereal. The only positives I can give of the place is that the staff wasn't terrible and the beds were comfortable and seemed clean. So if you're just desperate for a bed to sleep in, go for it, but just keep reminding yourself of that during your stay. read more

Definitely the worst place I've ever stayed. The place was filthy, moldy, and unsafe. If it had it been 2 am and sheer exhaustion from driving I would have gone elsewhere. Water damaged rug, snotty slime on arm of couch, ceiling cracks and falling, buckling tiles and sinks that didn't run water. Fire alarm hanging out of the wall. Awful. Even the hallways were filthy and the breakfast area was make shift some countertops randomly placed with edges and connecting dowels hanging out. Stayed here for the labor day weekend. At the reception i was told that free breakfast hours were from 7am-10am.Monday i went there at 9:30am, and breakfast was already closed.There they said breakfast was open only till 9am on weekdays! There was another person who also went back unhappy.All they said was 'sorry'.Very pathetic.Thoroughly disappointed with Days Inn, they don't own up to their mistakes.Won't recommend to anyone! read more

I'm not surprised at all that this place is a one star. I wish I had access to yelp before I got here. I would have gone to one of the other 2 hotels within walking distance. Let's start with the positives. 1) Check-in was a breeze. 2) The room was clean. 3)The toilet works. 4) the mini fridge/freezer could hold what we brought and we brought a fair amount. Wifi is spotty here. In the evening you can barely get a bar due to the fact that everyone is on the network. I don't believe that you should loose out on any wifi. I mean, we went to 0 bars sometimes. The sheets we believe, are not segregated from the smoking room sheets because there was a hint of smoke in the room but it wasn't overwhelming. The building really needs to be fixed up. They need to at least through on some paint and check the bathrooms from time to time. One of the two elevators was out too. One side of the working elevator panels was broken. This was an old elevator and it looked it. It also looked like it had been in disrepair recently. Now about the paint, the doors were all scratched up from use. The hallway to the room was pretty dark. The bathroom needs to be re-caulked and the worst part, you can't get hot water in the shower. The knob for hot to cold was broken. Sometimes it would just turn all the way around and not do anything. I had to fill the sink so at least I can clean some parts before leaving. Luckily I had a dry shampoo. I will be showering when we get to our cousin's house. There were a few stains on the sofa and the carpet in our room, but otherwise it was fine. The phone is wired. If you millennials want to see an old hotel phone, you need to stay here. The phone even says Ramada on it. Now on the turnpike hotel thing, it says that there is a restaurant there. That is a lie. No restaurant. Luckily, it's right by a mall and until 9pm, you can get food. There are other restaurants close by too. The free breakfast window during the weekdays is 7am-9am. We weren't even up at 7. I set an alarm so maybe we could hit the breakfast, but we were too slow so we missed it and will be going to Denny's. I think the people liked the indoor pool but we didn't try it. We didn't even turn the tv on since we arrived pretty late after dinner (10pm). I will recommend Wasabi hibachi something because they had some good food. Last but not least, the temperature control in the room is not intuitive. There is a button you need to push first before changing the room temperature. We also found a switch to no light. That was odd. No fan in the bathroom either, not like you really need it if you can't get hot water. I'm really easy to please when I travel and will only be staying one night at a place. Clean room, functioning wifi and tv, working bathroom is really all I need. This was so disappointing! read more

So right when we walked in it smelled like smoke. Not very nice so we checked in and the halls smelled horribly. We get to our door and our number was in pen very small. We get in and again it smelled like smoke. I wanted to get some snacks from the car. So my dad and i passed by the pool and the walls were ripped apart and the pool looked gross. I just had the crappyest time of my life!! -10 yr old daughter review. It was this bad. Should have listen to her right when we got to the room. She wanted to leave. We came into town after booking our stay for a week by looking on website saw pics and have always stayed with Days Inn NEVER ANY PROBLEMS . We got there and we got in at 4:30 in the morning and we were out by 1 then that afternoon. We came by train two and a half days and we're exhausted when we got there I got up around 9 in the morning that we got there and the first thing I rolled over in bed and saw was about a inch and a half crack in the wall that I could see outside went to call the front desk and no phone in room proceeded to go to the restroom and I flush the toilet after just peeing and toilet overflowed everywhere this place couldn't be any creepier if it tried it look like something out of The Shining I have to give it at least one star to leave my review but if I had my way I would have give it negative 5 stars we spoke with manager and he didn't have time to talk to us until after we were checked out and waiting on our Taxi I like these in don't get me wrong but Days Inn shame on you for not following up and keeping the site representing your name better have put complaint in to receive a refund they tell me I will find out on Monday the 11th of November 2019 . read more

Imagine sleeping in a dumpster. This experience was close. It was like a episode of Twilight Zone. Shady characters in the lobby seemed to be hangers on and not guests. The parking lot with broken down vehicles, potholes and trash was sketchy after dark. Riding the one working elevator (up one floor) was like playing You Bet Your Life. Upon finding our room in a dirty dimly lit fire-trap hallway, we entered to see that we have a television stand and no television. We called the desk and they acted surprised as if they didn't know the TV was missing. I said, "you should call the police" someone must have stole the TV. Of course, they knew they put me in a room with no idiot box, no biggie. The bathroom sink fixtures were broken off as well. Outside of our room was a second floor rooftop deck that was accessible to some rooms. Lucky us, the family that likes to keep their 3 and 5 year old's up to 1am were outside screaming and hitting the windows (our window too). I believe this place was a gateway to hell. We were lucky to survive with our souls. If you need to crash, use the Marriot next door and pay the piper. It's worth the extra cabbage just to not have the experience I had. read more
