The hotel is a little worn, but everything works and my room was clean. I love the courtyard layout and the staff were very helpful.

Lobby is decent and makes you assume the rooms will be decent as well. That's far from accurate. Room is dark with very minimal lighting, smells odd, grimy footprints on the floor, shower looks dirty, holes in the walls, paint cracking, microwave doesn't work, fridge isn't very cold even on the highest setting. The room also has two doors, one of which doesn't have a bolt and lock doesn't work. Wouldn't recommend, there are other cheap hotels in the area and in El Centro that are much nicer. Update: after being here for only a few hours a massive cockroach and a cricket have managed to get into the room. read more

This place is nothing like the pictures. Stayed early Nov '24. All the migrant farm workers stay here. Walking down the hall to my room, every room had a full size trash can outside overflowing with beer bottles. Bottles all over the ground, they hang their laundry in the open courtyard. The room is dreary, smells of disinfectant. The room has a glass in wood frame door with venetian blinds. The lights outside pour through at night, the room never got dark. You could see in many of the rooms, and the workers had installed metal bunk beds so there were up to 8 people in this small room. A lot of the doors were open with Mariachi music pouring out. The bathroom had no glasses, and the shower didnt work. There was no plug for the tub, and the tub faucet had no lever to pull up to divert water up to the shower head. The room is painted a dingy white, no color anywhere. Avoid at all costs. read more

Nice clean cool room. Floor was a bit dusty, can use a mopping. Stayed here many times and never disappointed, it's best value room around. Real quiet at night, slept well. Wasn't told room wasn't accessible from the door facing the courtyard, had to drive around to the back of the motel. Front desk needs to be more informative about room location. read more

Rooms were only $49.00 so I don't want to be too hard on them. I usually stay at the Brawley Inn across the street but it was $115.00 and I had 2 rooms. The entire facility is like a prison. Color of buildings, kind of beat up, gravel everywhere, very institutional and only the BARE essentials. Room was clean with only the basics which is expected for the price. Can't get much cheaper. There are much worse in Brawley and I've stayed at some! Overall, budget friendly just don't expect much. read more

Pros: GREAT PRICE, mini refrigerator, microwave, kids are free. Vons grocery store , donut shop that sells coffee across the street Cons: NO POOL, no coffee pot in the rooms They offered coffee in the front office literally which is an inconvenience. They have a back entrance where they can offer coffee to their guests which would make more sense and convenient. We had 3 rooms with 9 people, each room had less than half a roll of TP. I had to call each day for the three days that we were out of tp. I told the lady I didn't understand why they didn't put the two roles in each room for as many people that we had. She apologized. The pictures must be of a different property, because the room looks nothing like this. I should of known something was up when the lobby smelled really bad but I decided to try and stay anyway I get to my room and it just seems dirty I pull back the sheets nothings there the floor seems like it just hasn't been swept once again I try to look past it so I take a shower there's things in the shower so I take a shower with shower shoes on I get out of the shower all of a sudden there's these big roaches and some kind of other bug just crawling all over Immediately packed my things and go to the front desk and ask for a new room they tell me someone is coming tomorrow and they don't feel like cleaning the room so there are no other rooms available we can try and give you a refund will call you in a few hours once it's processed I couldn't believe it.. This is the worst experience, worst property and property management worst customer experience I will never again stay here, hell I didn't stay here this time I was there about 40 min. This is probably one of the best Motel 6 the bf and I have stayed at. Some are really shitty, and we are really impressed by this one! For only $61 for three people (double queen) with free breakfast, I think that's a steal. There are a lot of bad reviews and I don't understand why. The staff were friendly, rooms were clean. How much more can you expect from a motel? If in doubt, you can always ask to check out the rooms before paying. read more

For the price, it is good enough - coffee at the front office in the morning is decent, and when I asked for extra blankets, they were delivered within a few minutes. The only complaint is the bright light that stays on all night and you can't block it w the mini blinds on the door. I covered the window w one of the extra blankets. The staff was professional and friendly. The towels are rough just like any other cheap motels. At $60 a night, you can't expect too much. read more

The ladies at the desk were sweet and helpful. Nice enough for the price but we had to change rooms twice..the first two had non working televisions. After a long day my partner and i like to relax with mindless TV. Got truly aggravated having to move twice after auch a long day. Again the ladies at the desk were very helpful. Stay away ! Stay Away ! Stay Away ! We needed 5 rooms on the ground floor. Reserved by telephone and they assured us we would have five (5) rooms together on the ground floor. Arrived early at a MOTEL that was mostly empty at the time. The girl at the counter couldn't be bothered to locate the adjoin rooms for us and assigned them as the computer dictated. Of course we were upside / downside and at all four corners of this converted convalescent home. Yes ! a converted convalescent home ! With all the design peculiarities that you would expect. I asked the woman at the desk for a extra pillow and she flat out refused. Then when I told her it was common for hotels to give extra pillows she claimed she had none. , not even in any of the unused rooms. WTF ! The other guests at the hotel were road crews working in the area. The odor of weed and diesel exhaust from their trucks was everywhere. The owners couldn't be bothered to honor the promises they made or accommodate a small request. Certainly some "cultural" factors led to their dishonesty and contempt for Americans. Next year for our annual trip it will be back to the Best Western at the other end of town ! I suggest you do the same. read more

Rooms are a little odd with an entry door and then another door opening out to the other side of the building or a walkway. Kind of an institutional feel and likely converted from another use into a hotel. The shower is really odd with the mechanism to start the shower located on the underside of the tub spout itself. Must have confused more than just me as they had a sheet at the front desk available to show you how to activate the showerhead. People were nice when I was there and accommodated a room change when my first room put me next to a crying infant- walls are pretty thin. However, this is yet another hotel that wants to scan your driver license and retain the information rather than use it just to verify identity. My husband and I travel across the country frequently and motel 6 is our go to place, they are pet friendly and USUALLY people friendly as well. Although, the motel 6 in Brawley Ca was far from friendly. When we checked in they gave us a room that wasn't made up, the new room they put us in only had 1 wash cloth and so I asked for another one I was told no. In the am I asked for an extra towel the desk clerk complained and asked if I really need it. There was no coffee in the morning at all... not in 5he room or at the office. Very rude staff. I'm using their WIFI to write this review hee hee. We checked in on Sunday, Sept 4 2016 with a planned check out on Monday, Sept 5, 2016. We were greeted courteously at the front desk at check in. We were checked in promptly and were able to go straight to our room. At arrival, all looked well enough. The beds were made, the surfaces clean, the bathroom tidy. There's a small fridge and a micro microwave in the room for your use if you like. The room featured both a front and back entrance/exit and the TV is easy to operate. When we began to settle in, we found there were hairs left behind by prior visitors in our beds and under the pillows. This is something we'd overlook if my honey was not such an avid bug hunter...always checking for bed bugs before we lay our bodies anywhere. No bed bugs were found as an FYI. The hairs and other debris did not settle my concerns. There were also cigarette burns on the sheets of a smoke free room. We went to the front desk and explained what we found. Our concerns were addressed immediately. The sheets were changed promptly. It is a very quite place to go to if you like that sort of thing. I couldn't really sleep given that I don't usually sleep well outside of my home and my own bed. I decided to take a walk sometime around pm and noticed people come out at night more than they do the mid day or late afternoon. The 100+ degree weather keeps everyone cocooned here. The overall atmosphere is very akin to that of a dessert oasis. It is. On all those pleasantries there is one note I have to make. I am a foodie. I booked our stay here because a complimentary breakfast was noted as part of our reservation. We were up at 5:00 am looking forward to hot coffee and a pastry of whatever kind and we were told the "lady that comes in to do it has not called in and we may not have this today" what the heck is this? We waited an hour and then headed out to Vons where we found a Starbucks and had our breakfast there. All in all, it was a one night stay and it was not horrible. read more

I've stayed here numerous of times and my experiences only get worse and worse. I won't begin to outline every issue I had but they have ranged from them "losing" my reservation although I had a confirmation email, requesting a certain area (not room- just down stairs in the back) and get upstairs in the front, although I reserve weeks in advance, I've been charged twice (they did refund my money promptly so I'll give them that). I really loved it here when it first opened but I'll be taking my business back to Best Western I think. read more

The bed was comfortable but that was it! No hair dryer, no iron, no tissue, no coffee and the ice maker was broken. To top it off check out is at 11 but they banged on the door at 10 then again at 10:30. They couldn't wait to get rid of us! And lots of noise came from upstairs at 6 am. Never again!! read more

The service was good. The front desk was polite and welcoming. Room was clean and newly remodeled. Wasn't able to get a room from all the other hotels that had better reviews because of the amount of out of town workers here. I am a out of town worker myself. this place was terrible (even for $56)!!!!! Don't even bother making a reservation because they might just give you a room with people in it already! When we requested a new room we were greeted by a stench of cigarette smoke even though we had asked for a non-smoking room. We asked for another room (they said it was nonsmoking) but they were nice enough (barely) to give us another room. I often find that the cheaper motels end up being the better places for some reason and this is no exception. Staff was friendly and check-in was efficient. Room was very clean and the heat pump was a newer inverter style unit that was extremely quiet and comfortable, nothing but the exact temperature air calmly blowing all night long. I don't know how many times i've stayed in places where I just end up turning the heat pump off and suffer with being too hot or cold instead of being woken up every 10 minutes when it comes on, so that's a big plus. There were some dudes having some brews and socializing in the parking lot after a hard days work no doubt from one of the many agricultural operations in the area but they packed it in around 9pm and didn't hear a peep after that. The rooms look recently renovated and it appears whoever did the plumbing reversed the hot and cold to the shower valve so hot is cold and vice versa, It's an easy fix though; you just need to flip the cartridge in the valve 180 degrees, it worked well enough to have a shower but being a plumber it drove me nuts and I would have fixed it myself if I had my tools. (file under "things only a plumber would care about") Breakfast was ok, they had the usual Motel 6 fare: coffee, juice, dry cereals, muffins, toast, hard boiled eggs and something I think was supposed to be bacon. I went to use the public washroom off of the breakfast area and it literally looked like a bomb went off in there some time ago as it didn't appear to have been cleaned in quite a while, that was fine though we just used the facilities in our room. read more

My husband booked a room last Tuesday 2/12/18 and we had to leave in the middle of the night because we had Rouches. When we tried to call the front office the phone was disconnected so we call from our cellphone. They gave us a refund. I will never comeback to this place read more

Last night my wife and I stayed a the Motel 6 because we were attending my mother in law's funeral. The staff were very helpful and accommodating. They gladly gave us extra soap, towels, room keys, etc. The staff is very quick to respond to any of your needs or concerns. The only thing that I did not like was that the windows all faced the center of the building complex. read more

Made a reservation and they lost it charged my credit card twice after I gave it to Gracie to hold my room for Saturday night Gracie made the reservation for Friday night. I even called Saturday at 6 pm to make sure I still had my room she said I did . I agree with the previous review: " STAY AWAY...." I was in the city of Brawley over the fourth of July weekend 2015. The rooms are not at all what I expected. I was staying alone. The mattress are as comfortable as a blanket over a cement floor. There is no light switch to turn on a light as you first enter the room. You have figure out how to turn the light over the headboard. There is a light switch at the rear of the room that operates a light next to the restroom. The exhaust vent in the restroom was as quiet as a jet engine. The microwave oven appeared to be a cheap twenty dollar walmart Chinese master piece. The small refrigerator was making its share of annoying noises. The bugs in the room are everywhere. The front desk help were unprofessional and annoying. I wouldn't stay there ever again. Don't waste your money. The only good thing is that they offer a military discount. Was not worth it! read more
