Peeling ceasing and bathroom fan falling out of the wall.
    Eric C.

I have had to stay here three separate times, three different rooms, for work (it's the only hotel in the area they have worked out a pricing agreement). The first room I stayed in has a pungent odor of cigarettes and must/mold, all in a non-smoking room... The second room was less pungent; however, it was on the back corner of the building and Wi-Fi was almost impossible to connect to and still smelled bad. The towels aren't very clean, they've been washed but not bleached and several had hairs stuck in the fibers. The overall cleanliness of each room I have stayed in is not the worst imaginable but is definitely substandard. Each visit I've become congested and stuffy. The tubs are stained and moldy in the corners. The shower heads are moldy. The toilet stopped working on my third visit so I pulled the tank off and found so much mold the float valve got stuck. The HVAC vents haven't been cleaned in who knows when... On my second visit, the area had been hit with a snowstorm three days prior, but even after those three days, and during my week long stay, the parking lot was about 1/2 plowed (only the front side at that) and the walkways and stair wells were left mostly untouched and unsalted. I would rather stay in my car next time. I could understand one room being bad, but three definitely shows a pattern. Based off the other reviews I'd say this place is well on its downhill slide.

LA Mirage Motor Inn - Best Hotel in NJ

Leave Six Flags Great Adventure, but the adventure continues …read more. *Preface, you don't expect much at a smaller establishment - but you should be able to expect general business acumen, business knowledge related to the hotel service industry, general culture-based social graces, and to get a room you reserved and were charged for -- not called multiple times before 8 AM after being refused service in the wee hours of the morning* This experience was so bad as a customer it was almost comical. Showcased literally some of the worst understandings of the hotel industry, the internet, business ethics, general service industry standards, and general decency. Firstly, dry wall, counter tops, etc. on every floor in the hallways. Elevator doesn't function well. Staircase and even front desk dirty. Now the actual story? See below. Highlights: * Refused service for 45 minutes (11:30 PM -12:15 AM) due to an incapacity to use the internet, understand online reservations and payments, and the way that booking websites (I.e. Priceline) interacts with hotels. * Refused to contact Priceline or do anything to assist with the reservation (additionally, failed to understand that an email can be printed and used in place of a fax - fascination with faxes that I've never seen before). * After refusing service for 45 minutes and forcing me to make Priceline call the hotel staffer running the place I was able to finally assure my guest and myself that we could stay in the room I had reserved and was charged for via debit card. * As I usually try to do, I operate under a style of forgive and forget, we received our room and all is well - we'll head home in the morning and had a great day at six flags great adventure... wrong! Called at 6:30 AM by the same staffer saying I need to come to the front of the hotel to pay for the room. Hello, was my info not put in online and were you not keeping us hostage in the front lobby for 45 minutes in the early hours of the morning the night before? I say ok no worries I'll come down.. decide to pay whatever else is being asked when we check out. I get another phone call at 7:30 AM! Went to the front desk, but not before having this documented. * Priceline and Bookings.com have received this report and it is fully documented. The next six month review will determine if this service provider (is that the right name for a hotel?) will be used in the future. * Smokey atmosphere which you expect with a motor inn

Check in is at 3pm, online someone asked if they can check-in at 8am. The business replied "you can, for a fee." My husband arrived by Lyft at about Noon, they told him he couldn't check-in until 3p and they wouldn't let him wait in the lobby with his dog. It is 80-90 outside. He respectfully waited outside. At 230p they tell him they only have one "stinky" room available. Obviously at this point he will take whatever. He stays 2 nights and asked to extend and either change rooms or get a discount for the "stinky" room. They told him he needs to wait until tomorrow to speak to the manager. Now it's tomorrow and they will not allow him to extend and essentially are kicking him out! They barely speak english so there is a language barrier. These rooms are supposed to be kitchenettes but have zero pots, pans, dishes, or silverware. Myself or my husband have never had such a poor experience at any hotel in our lives!!! Especially in a time of crisis for us. Seriously unbelievable and stinky. Not to mention extremely difficult to go anywhere without a car. Updated to add: I personally just called to check availability and they were ready to book me in for tonight. That is absolutely crazy!!! My husband just checked in at the Sonesta across the street, do yourself a huge favor and go stay there. It's way cheaper, cleaner and so much nicer! They actually have stuff for the kitchen and good smelling rooms! I highly recommend the Sonesta!!!

We called the front desk, and a woman-Teresa spoke with my friend and I and had claimed that she would be coming to check out this issue , and we waited about 20 minutes until we called again, and she told us she forgot. Then, she told us to call the supervisor around 2pm after we checked out, yet he was rude and insensitive & neglected the fact that there were pests. He claimed that Teresa went back in the room after we left and it was fine. They did not check thoroughly, they did not care. I asked for any kind of reimbursement and the supervisor/management ignored the issue and hung up on me.

This hotel has Cockroaches pictures attached. Detailed explanation below but the manager in a…read moreroundabout way accused me of faking the pictures and wanted an apology from me for contacting the Health Department before she would authorize a refund. Oh, this is all recorded so the hotel cannot deny it! I booked two rooms for my two, Mid 80s Aunts and Uncles to visit my mom at a near by Assisted Living Facility in Princeton. The hotel was very accommodating in getting us two rooms next to each other on the 1st floor. That was the end of the praise for this hotel ends. I received a call from My Aunt very early in the morning that they were up since 4am when she was woke by a bug crawling on her face. She got up, turned on the light to see cockroaches all over her bed and the walls. They of course woke up my other family members to warn them. Needless to say that was the end of sleeping for these 4 elderly people. I called the hotel at 8:30 am hoping to speak to a manager but was told by the front desk housekeeping would check the room and a manager would call. I also emailed them pictures and a video of the cockroaches around the room at that time. I waited for a call until 12 noon but no call from a manager. You would think a situation like this would be a priority. At this point I contacted the South Brunswick Health department and put in a report, of course, provided them with the pictures and video also. I waited another day to hear from the hotel, but nothing. At this point I contacted Expedia who I booked the room through to inform them of the situation, they said they were going to reach out to the hotel and put in a request for a refund. Expedia put me on hold for a few minutes to contact the hotel. The representative came back and said the hotel declined my request! I asked them to conference a call with the hotel and me which they did. With Exepedia on the phone (which was recorded) I spoke to the hotel manager who said they checked the room (During the day, we all know Cockroaches are not out in the day) and found none. I asked her if she was the pictures and videos I emailed. She said, " I did and they look like pictures that I have seen from other hotels that were fake." I pointed out the decor is clearly their room and the video shows the cockroaches crawling on their bed. She responded with the same. She then went on to say, "I am not giving you a credit because you called the health department on us, UNTIL you apologize you will not get a refund!!!!" In my mind I couldn't believe she just said that I need to apologize for reporting their hotel for having cockroaches, basically blackmailing me! This was not about the money, this was about the hotel taking responsibility, apologizing, and doing the right thing. This hotel handled the situation so very wrong! I should have received a call immediately. The hotel should have understood the situation, called in a pest control company, let me know they were doing that and would have it remediated, and apologized. Instead, they call me a liar and blackmail me. The bottom line this is not the type of hotel you want to stay in.

The carpet looks like no one has clean it since the last time I was here. The room service is horrible. No one is going to vacuum your room nor clean a sink or shower. In fact, I had to vacuum my own room on the third day of my stay. Apparently this is the norm because they leave a vacuum cleaner in the hallway. The first night I was here, we realized that there was no linen for the sofa bed. When I reported it to the attendant the following morning, she had this smug look on her face like she could care less. It's so sad to know what this hotel use to look like and what it look like now.
