I was happy here. This place was a good location. there is a Wawa Travel stop and a McDonald's right next-door, and several grocery stores and places to eat close by. It's close to interstate 278, which will pretty much get you to anywhere you need to go. I called in ahead of time, and asked for an early check-in, and they told me no problem. I did have to wait a few more minutes for my room to be ready, but everybody was very nice. It looks like the hotel has been through a complete remodel. Bright, and clean. The room was very good. Spotless, decent sized, the bed was very comfortable. I got a good night sleep The room had a fridge and a microwave There was a decent sized TV with a good picture and DIRECTV. The Wi-Fi worked well, and was fast enough to stream video, although it did buffer a couple of times. There is a business center with a desktop computer in the lobby as well. The hotel has a 24 Hour Fitness Center, but no pool. There also is a guest Laundry available. Breakfast was good, With a waffle machine, , hot choices, , hot and cold cereal, juice, and coffee. The price was reasonable . I paid a bit more, because it was a Saturday in June, and while this place is a bit farther out, it is still close to NYC, and there were also World Cup games going on at the Meadowlands at the time. The prices weren't outrageous, they were just a bit higher. I understand, it was fine. . They do offer discounts for different groups, like seniors, military/veterans, etc.... I like this place. The Edison Quality Inn is perfectly adequate and very reasonably priced for a short stay. PROS: 1. Highly professional and helpful staff, particularly Natasha and Steve. Natasha expertly handled a stressful situation caused by unsupervised children pulling a fire alarm. 2. Within five minute walk to a supermarket and McDonalds. CONS: 1. The breakfast wasn't anything to write home about. It included frozen "egg" patties every day, with the only deviation in the "healthy breakfast" being bananas rather than apples, twice, in the almost 3 weeks we were there. (The daily waffles however, may have been the best I've had at a hotel, though if you'd prefer sugar free syrup, you'll need to bring your own.) 2. The room key cards became "unmagnetized" every one or two days. 3. Family members staying on the north side of the building complained of loud music coming from a nearby restaurant/venue on a few nights. 4. Scheduling housekeeping was unreliable and sometimes there was none on the days requested. read more

Let's see. The first thing is, there is no pool. Gym really doesn't have that much in it. Laundry room is a good thing to have, but not when it's being held up by other hotel guest that don't want to get their clothes. So far the front desk staff have been very helpful and curious. This was the worst hotel, I have ever experienced in my life and DON'T STAY EVEN IF YOU GET FREE OF CHARGE. Booked total of 6 rooms for 3 nights to stay during Memorial Day Weekend with friends. 3 of 6 rooms experienced terrible odor, from either mold or mildew. We vacated few rooms after 2 nights' stay. As soon as we entered into the room there was that terrible odor and especially after opening of the door and also bathroom door Dirty bottom of tub with rough surface. Very Nasty odor coming from the faucet during the water flow. Stains on the AC/Heating unit. Carpet is very old, looked dirty and as if it wasn't washed or replaced in several years. Not enough lighting room. Called the front desk person and asked for change of rooms but he only changed 1 room and poured Clorox in the sink of another room to control odor. Let the music play! I am usually able to give these types of properties a three or a four for value. Not luxurious or fancy but good enough to sleep and go. The property itself does rate a three or four, needs some paint and basic repairs but a good hot shower and comfy enough bed. However, the location is terrible. There is a restaurant/bar next door, which our window faced, that plays LOUD music. We called the desk and were told it stops at 10:00 pm. At 10:30 the boom-boom was still going strong. We called again. The clerk said she was calling the restaurant "again" and if it didn't stop she'd call the cops. Sounds like this is a known problem. I would never stay here again. read more

The hotel is located at the end of the street in kind of a scary looking area. I'm sure it is safe in the area, but it just looks kind of scary since it is hidden at the end of the street and it is surrounded by trees and some industrial businesses. The furniture in the room was dated and worn. The bathtub had rust in it and the ceiling tiles in the bathroom were brown probably from years of condensation from people taking showers. On the positive side, check-in was easy and the people working the counter were friendly. The room was clean and stocked with soap and shampoo. read more

Don't stay here. The fire alarm has gone off twice, the Wi-Fi was nonexistent for most of the stay, and my door has clearly been jimmied at the locks. There are numerous scrapes inside and outside of the door right where the lock is, and the door doesn't even close all the way. read more

Horrible. Took my money and then turned us away when we went to check in. Guy at the front had no mask and only pulled it up when he noticed our stares but didn't even cover his nose. Not COVID safe at all. There was no way to indicate the fact you had to be 21 to get a room there when making a reservation. You get what you pay for. The gentleman at the front desk was great. There were a few issues upon checking in. We made the reservation in person with the same clerk the night before (long story). We booked a king room. The next evening we checked in, took the elevator to room #1. It was a double with full beds. Returned down to the desk. With a smile and a big apology he gave us a new room with a king. Room #2 the key card wouldn't work. His pass card wouldn't either, couldn't get into the room. Room #3 the last king available. We got in and found black mold plus some dead insects throughout. Room #4 WE MADE IT!! Not a king but acceptable. The hotel is a need of a makeover. There are some rust spots throughout. The place is basically clean but the owners are not keeping it up to better standards. The air conditioner was a civil war replica. The direct tv was excellent and the remote control was actually very clean. The breakfast buffet was as good, even better then most at these breakfast included hotels. The breakfast staff are very accommodating and pleasant. The 24 hour coffee service was great. I believe 2 1/2 stars would be better but can't figure out how to do it. Dog friendly, nice people and a great Indian restaurant around the corner. It's also close to Stop & Shop and a bunch of other conveniences. The hotel is actually very accessible and easy to find, even though it doesn't show up in Yelp and appears as "closed permanently" on google maps. I think it's probably been taken over by new management recently. As I've found with hotel reviews online, everyone can always have a bad experience at any hotel and management/owners change over time. I only mention that because I found it difficult to find a hotel on our trip with a rating that we felt comfortable with. Resigned to the fact that it's a crap shoot and we lucked out with this place. I would definitely return if I was in the area. read more

This hotel is a great location for anyone staying in the area. The prices are very reasonable. The staff is great. The manager is wonderful. This is a nice quiet area. They treat Choice right. We just stayed two nights here, in the middle of a whirlwind, multi-state 15 day vacation with two kids in tow. We've seen a few hotels in the last few days and this one was excellent! The staff were all helpful and friendly, and the full breakfast each morning was a lifesaver with the kids, no need to search out ANOTHER restaurant and make them try to stay still. Plus it was good with a nice variety of things to choose from. Room was clean and well-kept. It was fairly easy to get to public transport into the city as well. If we ever come out from California again we would definitely stay here another time! read more

Location is decent, but there is a restaurant next door that has dance music that plays until about 11:30. The AC works well, even better than the Embassy Suites we stayed at yesterday. Haven't seen the breakfast yet, but I am sure it will be a typical continental breakfast. read more

I will give them some stars for being clean. Our room was fine, check in was fine, but downhill from there. After we checked in we left to go to an event. We got back around 10:30 pretty tired. What the don't tell you is there is a restaurant behind the hotel with a courtyard bar area. After about 45 min of pumping dance music, rowdy guests and a light show I decided to go down and speak to the front desk. I love when the way customer service handles an issue by acting confused. They never go this late, they never do things outside..Um the two bars that are out there are permanent structures so thy must do things outside, and there are 2 so they must be expecting a crowd. Well he said he would call if it goes past 11:30. To give him credit, they did lower the music so we were no longer on the dance floor but there was still a crowd out there, lights and lowered music until around 1. Things start to settle down, that's great, so lets cue the fire alarm.. To their defense I guess you cannot control how your customers behave, and they did put up a shiny new sign not to smoke E-cigs in your room. After the alarm in their room went off it was a nice touch by another guest to pull one of the other alarms so it took another 30-45 min for the poor frustrated firemen to figure out which one it was and to make it stop. This led to little sleep for both us and my brother and sister-in-law down the hall with their 5 year old. They also had someone knocking on their door at 5:30am. Lucky for us we missed that fun. They do have a breakfast in the morning. The bagel looked to be the safest choice so I stuck to that. The hashbrowns made from mashed up tater tots somehow just wasn't doing it for me. The breakfast area seemed clean enough though, but the other guests like the little girl who sat open mouth coughing all over the table she was at then wiping what I would have to say was a giant booger on the wall ( it came from her nasal region) made us uncomfortable. She sounded like she had wooping cough. They are trying to keep this place clean, and trying to keep control, but I know if we come back to this area we will skip this place. read more
