The sheets and furniture have disgusting stains and burn holes. The bathroom is filthy and everything needed wiped down before even being considered "usable", not to mention mold on the shower curtain. There were stink bugs in the bed as well as cobwebs in the room! And, to top it all off, we get up for breakfast at 8:30 when it's supposed to last until 10 and they've already taken everything back so the options were cereal or yogurt. The place has roaches, mold, cigarette stench in non smoking rooms, burns in the comforters from cigarettes, and feels horribly unsafe. The fact that the front desk worker knew we were leaving because of roaches and said "it's a run down hotel, what do you expect?" OMG...Dirty, dirty, dirty. This is the second dirtiest place that we've stayed. We've stayed in 100's of different places across the US. You know it's bad when you eat in your car, spray the room down with bug spray and sleep in your sleeping bag. Half of the lights don't work, probably to keep it darker so you won't see the roaches. I mean the ones with legs and can survive a nuclear war. The floor is laminate and sticky. There is crap/stuff/dirt stuck to the walls. The bed and couch are covered in stains. The A/C unit is full of food crumbs. The toilet rocks, not in any good way, it isn't level. The tub has holes and is rusty. The ceiling above the tub is failing apart. The refrigerator is dirty with stains on the sides....gross. read more

This hotel is the dirtiest most disgusting place I've ever stayed in my life. The non-smoking rooms have clearly been smoked in and have dead bedbugs everywhere. The furniture is absolutely filthy and stained. You can see through the sheets the stains on the bed and mattresses. The bathroom had mold and hair in the bathtub and again bugs. The hallway outside of the door was absolutely disgusting. The carpet was sticky, and the handrails were sticky on the way down the stairs. The door to the room had broken lock. There is not one single redeeming value in this over priced shit hole. We paid $100 for the night and it was not worth it even if they had paid us $100 to stay there. read more

Somehow we got a "non-smoking" room, yet somehow every single belonging I brought with me into the room REEKS of smoke. We were so tired after driving 12 hours that we couldn't be bothered to trek back down to the lobby with all of our stuff to try to switch rooms, but I swear - even standing in that lobby for 5 minutes I got second hand smoke! I'm not sure if it's the woman at the counter or what but both the main lobby and the side hallway/stairs smell like someone's been smoking in them, even with no smoking signs everywhere. Oh and there were cigarette burns on one of our beds and when the room next to us was open for cleaning we saw ash trays. So I'm not certain the room we had was set up to be non smoking at all. Since it was a spartan race weekend and this was one of the closest hotels, I'm guessing they tried to get away with putting people asking for non-smoking rooms (let's be honest, I highly doubt many people about to run a 13 mile race are smokers) in rooms that are typically for smoking. I had a headache most of the weekend from being in such a horrible room. We even ended up leaving early, preferring to sleep in a gas station parking lot in the car over sleeping in the smoke filled room. I will never, ever, ever stay at a days inn again, no matter how close it is to where I need to be. Also, I hope the county health inspector sees this - they should check the smoke detectors. I'm pretty sure given that people are smoking throughout the building that those have been tampered with in some way. The smoking was just the main issue - not to mention the rooms were in the worst condition I've ever seen. Sticky stains on the tables, stains on the wall, stains all over the bathroom. The refrigerator looked like it was never cleaned. Hopefully someone shuts down this disgrace of a hotel. read more

Worst hotel I've ever stayed in. Shockingly bad. Desk clerk appeared like a really tough dude, not at all professional. Did not greet me, just looked at me as I arrived, and hung out in front of lobby, smoking. Room was dirt and terrible. Old, broken furniture, of the type and condition you might see set out for trash. Black mildew in shower. Shower curtain non-functional as hung and filthy dirty. There was also BLOOD on the mattress pad that could be seen through the sheets. Finally, after surviving the night (and worried about bed bugs), I was walking around the hotel with my dog when rotten fruit began falling from above. An older woman was throwing the rotten oranges from what looked like a back apartment of the hotel. (Owner's residence, perhaps?) Shocked, the woman started yelling "No! No! No!" at me. I was shaken by the whole experience. Will never go there again. Avoid this place. read more

When I woke up to that icy cold Dr. Pepper, I was ready to kick the day's butt. We didn't expect much for the price ($80), but the cleanliness left a lot to be desired. Cigarette burns in the comforters (which looked decades old), the back of the toilet was cracked and being covered up by towels, and the shower curtain was moldy and full of stains. Stains on the carpet too. On the positive - the desk service was great, pool was nice for my daughter and location was decent. It was about 3 miles from a ton of restaurants and shopping and there's a BW3's right down the road. If you're just there for sleep - bring your own blanket and don't take a shower :) read more

While traveling, my daughter was denied access because of her service dog. The employee and manager were argumentative, rude, and condescending. She was humiliated in front of other guests and denied service when she only needed a place to rest because of medical issues. Their actions are in violation of the ADA. We tried to call to resolve the issue, but the manager cussed and threatened us the entire time, without knowing the purpose of the call. Apparently, he feels that a potential customer giving their full name and asking who they are speaking with is harassment that warrants profanity and threatening physical harm. I had a breakdown on I77 and found this place to stay at right by the shop. First off, this is a cheap hotel in WV, so just keep that in mind. The hallways smelled really strongly of carpet deodorizer. The room was ok, the bed covers had a couple cigarette burns and they were made very sloppy and had a couple of hairs in one of them. I gladly slept on the other bed in the room. The gentleman at the front desk was extremely pleasant and was very helpful and even offered to give me a ride to the shop after work. Clean, decently priced hotel room. Location was convenient to the highway & not far from a few restaurant options. The guy at the counter who checked us in was nice & our room was on the first floor across from the breakfast room, but it was pretty quiet. No disruptions & got a good night of sleep. First "non-smoking" room had a strong stench of smoke, and lamps didnt work, but I was then transferred to a slightly better room. I have stayed in much better motels. Where do I start.....the rooms smell like smoke, the hotel smells like smoke. Someone was tap dancing above our heads while another person ran up and down the hallway all night. The staff were nice, the hotel cancelled our reservations to overcharge weary travelers just like us that were evacuating from Hurricane Florence. We had to wait an hour for the staff to find us another room which took a couple tries of knocking on doors to see if someone was in the room sleeping. The breakfast is a waffle, yogurt, and cereal. So do not think it is anything more than that. The pool is supposed to open at 7am but didnt open till 11am on a couple days we were there. The wifi for the hotel is slower than dial up, and our room keys consistently had to be reprogrammed. But this place is ran down and looks like something out of a horror movie. Everything is stained, one of the room doors is half way beaten in. Pool was closed for cleaning. They said we could still use it if we signed a waiver... We said no thanks to that one. Room was clean. Non-smoking room, but there were cigarette holes in all the blankets. We only had 2 cups and 3 sets of towels even though we booked a room for 4. Continental breakfast was decent. Only one waffle maker so there was a line... We waited at least 15-20 minutes. It was tasty though. Cafeteria-style dining area, but inadequate seating for the number of guests that were there. There was a breakfast attendant who was cleaning and restocking, but they were out of spoons for a while before another guest found them in a cabinet and restocked them himself. read more

We tried to check in. We had a reservation for 4 people, he refused to rent us the room for 2 nights because we had 4 adults. He stated he could only do 2 adults and 2 children. This same hotel allowed 4 adults in one room 3 weeks ago when we were in town then. He was very rude and defensive. We had to wait 10 minutes before even being acknowledged because he was on the phone talking about a dog certification. We come to town often this time of year and usually stay here but we will not be staying here again. The previous stays the rooms have been dirty, unvacuumed floors, did not have towels and had an odor. We do own a timeshare and were considering transferring to a point system but we will not be doing that now we will be sticking with the yearly week. read more

Extremely low price, but you get what you pay for. The place is very dingy looking and does not smell good. Cleanliness is an issue - floors are disgusting, linens do not look like they were washed properly, and the bathroom counter looks used. There is mold on the ceiling of the shower. The door does not close properly without assistance. The TV reception looks like we're back in the 80's with rabbit ears. And we have 2 towels in a 2-queen bedroom. I've asked 3 people for extra towels and don't know if I'll ever get them. Light were not plugged in when we arrived, one of the outlets doesn't work, and there simply aren't enough for travelers to charge their devices. It's worth it to pay for a nicer place with good beds and pillows, cleanliness, and good service. read more

We stayed here between Christmas and New Years. This was the filthiest place I have ever stayed in. Even the sheets had stains all over them. The breakfast was a total mess. Pre made eggs were kept in the fridge and you had to heat them in the microwave. The batter for the waffles had been watered down so it made quite a mess. We could not wait to check out but had to wait for the woman in front of us who was explaining to the person on the front desk how disgusting her room was. Never again. read more
