I am DISGUSTED by the service at this location! At 4:50 AM on May 1st, I called to inquire about a room due to an emergency during a road trip with my kids. After being told they were booked, the clerk hung up while I was asking about the next day! So I called back needing a room for the weekend, the same man was incredibly aggressive, told me to stop "harassing" and called me a "b*tch." When I asked for his name, he refused to give it and hung up again. This is disgusting behavior for anyone in a customer-facing role. Management needs to address this immediately. Gross behavior! Drove 12 hours today from Los Angeles to Provo, Utah only to find out that I can't rent the room because I'm not 21. Nowhere during the reservation process was it mentioned that we must be 21 since the normal age is 18. Apparently it's a "new policy" for this location only. Fuck this place. read more

The property apparently allows long-term residents who then either rented or shared their room and we got zero sleep because of constant showering above us, not to mention the accompanying banging. The beds are old and saggy. Although booking.com lists it, there is no breakfast due to supply chain issues, for which I had to request (and receive) a refund. The toilet sat right on the door jamb; the shower pressure was good, and the tub drained well. The property is in desperate need of rehab. Why are they charging for breakfast if they're not serving it? When I requested the refund, the front desk said they had tried to get booking.com to remove it from the listing. Grade D. read more

Not what I expected from a Wyndham corporation We stayed here during the Memorial Day weekend using our Wyndham Rewards Points. It is conveniently located near Highway 189 and walking distance to Brigham Young University, it makes it easy to visit all of the popular destinations from this hotel. The front-desk staff that checked us in was friendly, helpful... and chatty. We were on the 2nd level of a 2-story building. Rooms were not the best but was decent. Amenities included free WiFi, mini fridge, microwave, good air conditioning, controlled heating/cooling, coffee/tea maker, hairdryer, family room, cable TV, adjoining rooms (which we did not use), desk, ergonomic chair, hypoallergenic pillows (really?), bathroom amenities (shampoos and stuff), alarm clock (that was unplugged), and iron/ironing board. They usually have free continental breakfast but due to COVID-19 they did not offer this. Well, we were only here to shower and crash after long days out and about so it served its purpose. The check-in process was nice and quick. The room wasn't fancy, but I found everything to be in good working order and the bed to be clean. The guy at the front desk was extremely sassy. There was multiple roaches in our room. The towels and sheets made my skin very itchy. I had to clean the ac with my own materials as it was caked with filth. The toilet wasn't properly cleaned, there was pee on the bottom. This is coming from a head of housekeeper from a previous job. The breakfast was just waffle with no syrup whatsoever. Breakfast was put away minutes before breakfast was supposed to end leaving multiple people to ask for syrup. BEDBUGS‼What a shame that we didn't look at the reviews before booking this hotel. Within an hour of checking in my daughter spotted a bedbug on her pillow. We spoke to the General manager(Gina) in hopes of checking out and getting a refund, her response was that her protocol is to bring out a bedbug specialist to confirm that the infestation is bedbugs and not another insect. This clearly shows that they've had an infestation of some insect if they had to put a protocol in place before they could give a refund. The whole situation is skin crawling and unfortunate. I had to spend the night in town so I decided to book the cheapest room I could find since it would only be for a few hours. The room was not very clean and there were water damages on the couch. It was nice that they had a microwave and a mini fridge but it took me about an hour to notice there were bed bugs in my bed. Thank God I noticed in time. Husband and I were exhausted driving from Laramie and instead of driving 4 more hours to Beaver we decided to stay here in Provo. This was our 5th night getting a room on our road trip back home to CA. So we decided to be very frugal. I'm not exaggerating when I say this is the worst place I've ever booked. Immediately entering the room we were hit with a very strong dog urine smell. Room 122 on the ground floor. We are traveling with our small dog so we got a pet room. We couldn't spend 2 hours in that room, absolutely disgusting. The ammonia smell was so strong it made my nose congested. We ended up leaving and heading to the Comfort Inn, I don't have to think twice about walking barefoot on the carpets here. Avoid at all costs. Expedia charged us for the room as usual and when we got there the people at the front desk denied our reservation number after they asked for the card we used on file. So they knew we already over paid for the room via Expedia(which thanks by the way for ripping us off Expedia we're moving across the country) they didn't do squat and when we came back after figuring it out. My daughter and I stayed here last year so we thought it was good enough to stay again so we booked our room around noon on a Tuesday. I'm a 66 yr old woman with a broken toe traveling with my emotional support animal which is a cat and approved by my Dr. But Juan the new owner said "cats do Not qualify as an emotional support animal ". So I paid the extra 20.00 a night for 3 nights. Because of my of my broken toe I asked for a ground floor room and Juan said he didn't have any rooms on the ground floor, CUSTOMER SERVICE DOESNT MATTER ANYMORE; So my daughter and I made multiple trips up and down the stairs. When we got settled in our room it reaked of Urine even though the linoleum flooring appeared fairly new we had to burn incense to mask the smell. I will Never Stay at this motel again. read more

Look at Lisa E - this was the same room I stayed in. I'm supposed to stay for two nights. But I bailed out after the first night. This facility is awful. When I checked in, something was off. Lots of scratches. The ceiling in the bathroom is moldy, blackest one I ever had seen. The fridge is dirty. Electric sockets are uncovered and unsafe. No hot water. They kept on saying to wait 15-30 minutes. But it never came. No free breakfast, too. The staff had been lying to customers. It was one of the worst hotel stay I ever had encountered. I noticed that the local police cars kept on driving around the parking lot. It turns out that this facility has a history of drugs and prostitution. DO NOT STAY HERE!!! My 20 year old daughter arrived at 10:30 at night 8/3/24 from a late flight into Salt Lake City. The room was booked through Southwest Airlines concierge service. John the VERY rude "Manager" would not let her check in because she was not 21. She has a credit card and everything else they require, but would not even allow an exception for a 20 year old girl who had no place else to stay for the night. I begged him not to put her out on the street and allow for this exception. He would not and basically put her in a tough spot with no place to stay over night. They certainly took her money with no questions asked. I am just flabbergasted that a 20 year old adult would not be able to stay at a Days Inn. I will NEVER stay at a Wyndham property again and I will be sure to tell any and all about the terrible situation this hotel put my daughter in. My wife and I needed to run some errands in Provo and decided to make a date night of it and rent a hotel (we are from out of the area). Trying to be frugal, we found a (cheap) hotel closest to where we would be running around. This unfortunately happened to be Days Inn. My wife checked us in without issue and we went to our room. Initial thought on the room were positive. However, that changed pretty quickly, water damage on most paint surfaces and an odd moldy smell quickly soured us in the room. The tv remote was broken and the tv only worked 1/2 the time. Just before we went bed, my son opened of the dresser drawers and discovered a pillow, thinking it was another pillow for us to use, he pulled it out and to both of our surprises it was covered in shit! Couldn't tell if it was human or animal but honestly, does it matter. This place was sketchy from the get go. Also, the manager (in between constantly calling my wife or I down to the office to fill out paperwork) charged us $80 extra to keep our emotional support animals in the hotel, on top of the $100 they charged us for the room! Avoid this place at all cost, go across the street to the Marriott, far better choice and where my family and I checked into the next day. read more

I'd explained that my wife spoke with his wife prior to purchasing it. He was very rude, unprofessional, crude. Honestly I felt bullied by him. She explained that it was not right and tried to explain it was the last of our money and we had no where to stay and it's midnight. He became smug and said "I will request a refund but it will take up too 5 business days, find somewhere else to stay." She expressed her disappointment and raised voice. He slammed the sliding glass window in her face.We had pulled around and parked so we could figure out what to do.The same male came storming around the corner and asked us to leave the parking lot,it was trespassing and he would call the cops if we didn't leave right away," I asked for a few minutes to figure things out,he became abrasive and threatening. I asked him "If I could speak to his manager"he explained that he was the manager and called the police. As I entered a 7-11 I was pulled over. Officer asked "if we knew why we got pulled over?" We explained it all and that we knew he called the police. The officer said that the male manager requested we be trespassed from that Days Inn as well as the hotel Baymont across the street. The officer recommended moving forward we splurge a few more bucks on a better place for our money, he checked our licenses and ran them and let us go. Right below the transaction with the original charge on my card was another charge that I did not give my permission for. The manger refunded the original amount and without permission charged me a second amount. Get this, he charged me even more than our original charge. We have not seen that refund. This wasn't my first experience before with Days Inn and the manger. Months before we purchased another room and prior to my wife called and asked "if it would be okay if I paid online with my card and we use her ID to checkin since I had lost mine but I had a picture on my phone I could show them?" She said yes and we purchased the room.Upon arrival we had basically the same issues.This time I did not ever receive my refund. Prior to this incident our very first time and experience at this Days In we had the oddest experience with the lady cleaning the rooms. My wife washed her face with the wash cloth she got a little eye liner on the wash cloth.Apparently you are not suppose to wash your self with the wash cloth "LOL." we were stopped by the lady cleaning our room and she pulled out the wash cloth and said "what is this?" We stay in a hotel every weekend somewhere in Utah county. In my life time I've never been harassed by and employee and threatened to be charged for a wash cloth I got dirty. At this time I expressed to my wife that next time let's get a hotel that was worth it. I told her we would never waste our money there again.We did not learn our lesson that first time or the second.The second time we were adamant about never wasting money in that dump again.As we did not get the room or refund. When my wife said she got the room at Days Inn I was so angry with her and reminded her of what happened the two first times and what we had said about not wasting money there. She was sure there would not be any issues as she had called and spoke to them before purchasing it and she also said "let's give them another shot, 3 is my lucky number (which it is). Apparently it's under new management and John/Juan is absolutely terrible and should not be working in the hospitality industry! I called before reserving to confirm that my ESA would be okay to bring and was told it would be as long as I had the paperwork from my therapist, but at check-in I was told it didnt matter if she was an ESA, I would still have to pay an animal fee, even though i didnt have to when i stayed here a year ago. Then I requested a ground floor room because of my 70 year old mother, who had just broken her toe and has a hard time taking the stairs because they don't have an elevator, Juan told me no even though the whole dump was basically empty. They advertise free breakfast when you reserve online, but they don't have one. The rooms are nasty and the pool was closed the whole time we stayed there. I can't remember the last time I actually had a good experience staying at a Days Inn. My ex and I have stayed at a Days Inn twice in two other cities and they were also less than pleasant experiences. The Provo Days Inn kept that tradition alive for me. I was here with some friends recently and the rooms are tiny, the bathroom was not too clean, and the carpets looked like they needed to be ripped out and replaced completely. The wifi did not work at all. We tried to connect with any device and it just did not work. That's not good considering how close this is to a campus. I'm sure plenty of students and their friends stay here and need working wifi to do homework. read more
