I usually don't leave anything negative because everybody's trying to make a living everybody's trying to do business. I'm leaving this because whoever owns the place needs to make some changes. The woman at the front desk when I walk in there was pretty nice. Some guy was working on that little coffee area sitting here ranting away like "I'm not going to put two goddamn napkins in every time cuz everybody uses two napkins... well, they can use one or go without!". I'm just walking in there and I'm hearing this. I go in the room and there are stains on the bed.. very 1970s in terms of the room itself. I go to take a shower and the thing you pull up do the shower from the tub falls apart in my hand. The pool looks like a covered up cesspool. My girl wouldn't even lay in the bed.. I had to wash my hair in the sink I didn't want to bother ask anybody to help there. I go return the key this morning and the guy I think it's the same guy who was crabbing about the napkins the day before, was like "what do you want?".. I saw like five cars there so I am assuming nobody was staying there except me lol There's a lot of money at stake and if you only hire people that say "hey how you doing? how was your stay? Are you having a great day?? Can I get anything for you You want some coffee? Something nice.. It should not be that hard. I think the place is going on in business and maybe getting the right people in there but turn it around. Have them wear a shirt nice pants and slacks whatever. Have them be nice they represent you. People who may be going through their own negative situation personally don't need to share that with your clients and customers because nobody wants to hear it. Their job is to make the place look better .. Nobody owes you a living in this world The sooner they figure it out the better their lifes are going to be going forward You can't go in looking like a sweaty handyman with a sweaty old t-shirt on .. You got to look like a pro. There is big opportunity out there but now when you take it personal negative situation and say .. Oh, this job sucks and act like that.. That's not fair to the guy paying you. If it does, get another job. Then I walk in the turn of my keys the next morning after having the shower thing fall apart my hand the night before and my girlfriend not want to he would get near the bed because of the stains on the sheets. I was so dead tired I could have slept on a bed of nails... This guy had kind of a bushing beard I try to take a picture but it didn't come out.. anyway.. He's like "What do you want?".. When we arrived after 12 hour driving day ...we were pretty tired and just needed a place to crash. We are not very picky , untitled or drama kind of people....yet, with all the taxes and a dog fee we paid a $ 100 per room and at least deserve a normal place to spend the night in.... Am I right ? Well, I noticed old stains in a ceiling going in.... Never fixed and painted, the room was with old cracks in a walls and needed painting....not a big deal.....we just need to spent a night..... Right ? But when I tried to wash my hands.....I noticed small curly hair on my towel....ok, I used another one..... And then blonde hair on my pillow....hmmmm, I am a brunnet. When I found open soap bar in a bath tub in a morning.....I almost was not surprised !!! Furniture is old and soiled and looks like it came straight from a garbage. Aweful place !!! We woke up at 6 am.... could not sleep well on this hard , uncomfortable bed and super high pillows and couldn't ran away faster.....needles to say.. .we did not stay for breakfast and it was not ready at 6:30 when we checked out anyway....but I already was so grossed out with different types of hair in my room....I think if I find it in my food..... My day would not start well.... Do not take chances in this place...!!! read more

Not a real nice place but appears to be "clean" in the room at least. King bed is definitely old and decrepit, insufficient pillows, no ice machine on the first floor. The thermostat on the AC doesn't work right so it thinks 75 is 65.. My tv wasn't working so front desk girl came into my room to set it up and then it stopped working again 5 min later. Probably because it's some kind of cheap splitter box or something. I just needed to sleep a bit before hitting the road again, but this room definitely isn't worth $60. read more

IMPORTANT! Please read before booking! MAJOR Health concern! My husband and I were traveling from Florida and needed a place to stay for a few hours. We booked an room to sleep in for a few hours. We totally understood it was a cheap hotel with hardly any amenities and that was fine, but the website stated it was clean and up to COVID cleaning standards. It was far from it. I attached pictures but there was fecal matter on the shower curtains and the walls, stains all over the floor, cigarette burn marks on the pillowcases, food in the microwave and car air fresheners hung up in an attempt to mask the marijuana and cigarette smell. We didn't even stay an hour and we were told that we wouldn't be charged and my husband was given the owners business card. We were charged that Monday and when I contacted the owner, Meet Patel, he said "if you don't like it, you could have stayed in the Hampton Inn down the road, you get what you pay for" When I mentioned I was going to be contacting the BBB he said "go ahead". I attempted to contact Days Inn Corporate as well and I was told that since Days Inn is franchised, they have no say as to the condition of that location. I informed them that their website and message when calling in states they uphold cleanliness and COVID-19 cleaning standards, they wouldn't allow me to speak to a supervisor. They transferred me multiple times to a GM hotline where I was told there was nothing they can do. I have never been treated so disrespectfully by a business and it's really terrible that a company wouldn't want to have a franchise owner uphold their standards the company is supposed to represent. read more

Hotel is exactly what it looks like. Nothing flashy just for functionality. There's some noises in the hallway at night. Both sink and shower faucets are constantly leaking and dripping. There was no morning breakfast which was advertised and why I stayed here to begin with. Zero stars. Why didn't I research Yelp before I booked this dump?! Worse motel ever. And it cost $91! Stayed here overnight on the way home from vacation. The side hallway going up to the room was smelly with very worn carpet. It was as if I was entering an old decrepit building. The bathroom door wouldn't close even when you locked it. The handle on the night stand was broken. The a/c didn't work well. There was a line across the tv picture. My husband saw a roach in the hallway. There were no tissues in the room. When I went to the lobby to get more the woman at the desk said they didn't have any. Disgusting place. It should be shut down. read more

This is probably the worst hotel I've stayed coming back from Orlando now staying at North Carolina days inn. I arrived to find in the stairwell with a stench of mariquana and found a cup with cigarette bud (see picture). The hallways was dirty. The rooms missing lightening, toilet seats not working they had to change our room. The receptionist is air head! Not dressed appropriately to be in the front desk she was nice but not professional. Horrible. Reserved 2 rooms and they both smelled awful. One room had mold all inside the refrigerator had to clean it ourselves. Front desk staff was very adamant about the owner, not caring about the hotel. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Never again. breakfast was literally a couple pieces of bread to make toast and four bagels. That was it and the hotel was completely booked. Just an overall horrible experience. read more

After driving 12 hours with our dog we stopped at the Days Inn in Selma. There were just a few cars in the lot. We were assigned a first floor room. The bathrooms flourescent light was flickering, the shower was leaking and dirty, the toilet seat did not look especially clean. The internet did not work, the night table was sticky, the chair at the desk was filthy, carpet stained and the wall in the bathroom was broken in 2 places and crumbling. Had we not stayed at a different Days Inn on our trip out I would give up on the chain entirely. Oh and the sink was dirty as well. Its obvious nobody cleans or checks the rooms. HORRIBLE. Noticed an enormous millipede in my room just after checking in. Requested another room. Front desk girl said I could have one and then she just walked out of the building without a word. After going back and forth to my room twice, I flagged her down to ask what the heck was going on. She said I could go to another room upstairs. I said my ankle is severely injured, I can't carry anything up the stairs and there was no elevator. Both employees silently looked away from me. Didn't offer to help or consider another first room floor. I finally said okay I can TRY lugging my stuff up the stairs on an ankle that doesn't work. Halfway up the stairs and in a lot of pain, I see another giant bug EATING a smaller bug! I said okay I'm out I need to leave. Front desk girl was incredibly rude and she said she couldn't refund me. I was there less than one hour. Called the manager the next day. He not only lied about not being the manager, he said "call back sometime next week" and for 10 minutes refused to tell me which day I should call back. Then he lied and said if I call corporate I'm out of luck because "we're not a real Days Inn, we just use the name." They have Wyndham material all over the place. I know the chain well. Called corporate, they said it IS one of theirs. Still waiting on a refund. Worst hotel experience I've ever had. read more

The hotel can use some upgrades, but I wanted the lowest price for an overnight and this was it. The hotel does offer smoking rooms, which I wasn't aware of when I booked, but got a non-smoking room when I checked in. The overnight staff was very friendly and helpful. Thank you Tammy. A decent breakfast (hot and cold food items) is included with the rate. Not the best stay ever, but for the price, no complaints from this customer. It was what I expected. read more

I don't even know where to start with this place! Rented a room for 2 nights. Particularly looked for a hotel with a pool, the pool was disgusting green. The fitness center is the hotel storage room and our tv had lines running through it. Our room smelled of cigarette smoke and had only 2 towels. I get I'm not staying at the Hilton or Holiday Inn but that's doesn't mean I should expect this. We arrived very late getting one of the last rooms available. Realized we could get a $15 cheaper rate using a hotel discount app that they couldn't match on the spot even. So I booked it in the lobby on the app. The receptionist was nice but overwhelmed with those checking in felt the need to complain several times about the employee who rushed out before him apparently not doing all her duties to set him up for success. While I felt bad for him, that's still not a good welcome to the hotel. 2 queen bed room was large and generally clean. Tv great picture quality. Interestingly, volume was on one setting and could not be adjusted. The positive is you didn't hear other rooms tvs. Didn't partake of breakfast so can't review. The shower head was horrible. Very little water spray that was spread wide and thin so you didn't feel like you could rinse well. Housekeeping barged into our room at 10 after barely knocking. Certainly not enough time to even respond that we were still in the room. I really hate when hotels encourage that kind of behavior. You can have a system with housekeeping to know what rooms are empty. That's careless management. I'd like to give 1 star on that. We heard her after that still repeating the behavior. Yelling out housekeeping and opening the door. It was obnoxious to hear "housekeeping" over and over. The sleep quality was good so in the end I give this a 3. Because of the app, the value was good. Where is the -5 button. I came to this Daisy and to be closer to my niece who lives in Smithfield. When I walked in checked in the front desk and owner work in the lobby folding sheets that were strategically placed throughout the dining room area and on the floor. My first room was too hot when I walked in the air was on but made no difference. Front desk was more than happy to move me to a second room. A few hours later in the second room I go to plug my personal fan in behind the nightstand was a bloody use tampon cartridge, a Doobie that is the butt to a weed cigar. I called front desk and she was very quiet on the phone and told me she did not know what to say. I told her I didn't know what to tell her. We both knew that tampon needed to be removed and I was not going to do it unfortunately she had to. She also explained to me that a current worker stay there in that particular road for 3 to 4 months. She said she felt confident and giving me that room. When she came up to the room we both just did there looking at each other for a while. I explained to her That other women do not want to deal with another woman cycle unless it is her child. Later on that night in room 3 my dog was barking because the front doors do not fit flush to the floor so she heard every body and everything on the outside of the door. I try to turn the TV on and that would not work. So she barked at simple noises. I do not want her waking up the other people. One of the lamps does not work and was still on the nightstand and it did not have a lightbulb in it so I took a lightbulb from the other side of the room and put it in that lamp. It's broken so why is it still there? When I got up in the morning I called corporate office and explain to them the situation. She also told me that he has seven days to return my money etc. as I went to check out and was talking to Frank desktop owner who I witnessed with Frank gas yesterday came up from behind me mad because I made a report to corp. he was so mad he started yelling at me telling me I didn't have 3 rooms when clearly I did. He kept yelling at me so I yelled back and very much louder. I told him that their a nasty facility and why does he fold the bedding on the floor etc. he told me it was non of my business. I told him it was when I laid down on that bed. He then picked up hid phone to call the police on me. I guess bc I yelled out that his employee that stayed in that room for 3/4 months was a nasty ass bitch. What's cold about that is I was told she'd be checking me out in the morning. So I said this in her face. As he was calling the police I told him where I'm from the police don't fucking scare me. This hotel is nasty AF! It was this hotel or another that was 30 mins from my family. My dog ate some poison and shit everywhere. She just threw up in my lap. I will update when I hear back from Days Inn. read more

Well this isn't really the first place I would recommend staying. The people were nice but despite this, there were a few things my family and I weren't too fond of. For instance, we asked for towels and when we received them, they were damp . I don't know where exactly those came from but I don't know who gives damp towels to other people. I hope they weren't used. We also found a roach hanging around in the bathroom which probably meant that it had friends hanging around too. The breakfast was pretty nice. However, the only problems were the flies hanging around waiting to land in the food. I don't know anyone who likes having those flying nuisances around while eating but I'm not one of them so my family and I ate in our room. Overall this place could be better with cleanliness but it's definitely not the worst inn we've ever stayed at. read more

"DJ" said he was the manager and after being extremely rude to my wife to be in just a few days, told her that he didn't even have to try to find her another room, after canceling her room 3 days before it was reserved. Great for an overnight stay. We had handicapped room which was out dated so we can't say how other rooms were. Bed was good, sheets were clean and that's what's important. Breakfast was more than we expected- eggs, sausage, biscuits, gravy and waffles plus regular fare. Can't say enough about the one poor girl that had to handle every job on the morning shift. From the front desk to the cooking and bringing out of the food to cleaning it up - all with a smile and politeness that can't be beat. Would definitely stay here again. read more

This is a very functional hotel. Close to 95 no frills but everything you need if your passing through town.

Terrible experience. Charged $90 and got the following: The ice maker on the second floor was unplugged. The card key reader on the back door did not work. The bedside lamp was unplugged and had no bulb. There was only 1 cup and 1 pkg of coffee. It did not matter anyway because the tray for the coffee was missing. There was no blanket and it was quite chilly. Turned on the heater and it sounded like a train traveling through the room. Had to turn it off.There were no bath towels. We had to use hand towels to dry off after our showers. There was a dirty ring in the toilet. For the free breakfast, there was no decaf coffee and the pastry/bread container was almost empty. When I called to learn if a room was available the clerk said she had only one left. I spoke to the person in the room next to ours the next day and found she said the same thing to him. What a liar! Will never stay at a Day's Inn ever again. read more
