Dropped off two stainless clips - that I use for scuba diving - a few weeks ago. I had a pick up date of a week after drop off. I was heading on a dive trip and wanted to bring one clip for a friend. They weren't finished a full week after the scheduled pick up. I was - - incredibly sad and disappointed. Giving two stars because staff were friendly, apologetic and offered to mail them back to me since I won't be home to pick up for three weeks. UPDATE 9/13: I'm home. The clips were not shipped as I was told they would be on 8/26. I had to drive to the store - 30 minutes - to check status. They were still just sitting here. I waited weeks for engraving that never happened. I waited weeks more for shipping that never happened. Not once did the store contact me. Not once did they do what they committed to doing. I will not, again, work with this jeweler. read more

Great jewelry store in Topsham. Extremely helpful with charms and watches. Had complimentary beverages and snacks. Great location. Huge store with estate jewelry as well as diamonds and silver. If a pre-owned watch is at another store they will have it transferred to any store for free to look at. Staff is wonderful and so pleasant. Not hugely high end, but moderately priced items. Days jewelers in brunswick have very much impressed me in many ways. Over the past year they have been working with ne to find the perfect ring for my (hopefully!) Soon to be fiancee. Over that year I have popped in about once a month and made smaller purchases here and there and let me say that the staff have been incredibly patient with me. They always meet me with smiles and a genuine charm, not the sales person fake charm that you would expect. I have gone in to talk about different gems, how diamonds are rated and classed, metals and styles and all of the staff are incredibly knowledgeable in thier field. Sometimes you will get lucky and get to speak to the owner about his products. This is a man who has a passion for the industry and it shows, his knowledge and faith in his products shines through and has thankfully passed onto his staff. Shopping at days for me has been an incredibly possitive experience and I intend to have a relationship with the store for many years to come. Very displeased with the customer service & hope that it's just this location that has communication issues and it's not all Days Jewelers. When my husband & I purchased his ring, it fit. However on our wedding day it did not. When we called to see how long he would have to go without it, we were told a week. When we brought it to them, it changed to 3 weeks because of the type of ring we purchased & they would be charging us $40 for an engraving that I had put on the ring prior to our wedding (that Jared's did in 3 days for $17.99). Now our arrival date is July 28th & the ring was dropped off in the middle of June. My husband got a phone call from them the other day stating that they were deeply sorry, but the ring would not even be shipped out from the factory until August 1. I called them this morning to find out why in the world it was going to take a month and a half to do his ring, and I was interrupted so many times that I wonder if they actually heard what I said before I had to get very loud and blunt with them in order to get my point across. However, even at that point when I was done speaking I was asked "can I speak now" sarcastically & fairly obvious I was done with explaining the situation due to about a 5 second pause of silence on the phone. Don't get me wrong, my husband's ring is gorgeous and we cannot wait to get it back. However the customer service that is provided by this location is absolutely absurd and I would not recommend it to anyone. Again, I hope this is only in this location should we ever have to go back to a Days Jewelers, we will not be going to Topsham and I hope that the next place has much better employees. After a very unnecessary experience on the phone (my question of "why" was never actually answered), I appreciate you, Jeff, for taking time out of your schedule to be able to answer it. That is all I was looking for when I called. It was nice to know that someone was willing to answer the customers question, and had I been told that when I called, a "thank you" would've been said & everything would've been fine. I don't like that a bad phone conversation & a bad review had to take place in order for an answer to be received, but it is what it is. I had such a satisfying visit when I stopped by to get my rings cleaned. Jeff quickly introduced himself and helped us right away as we browsed around. We forgot the card to get signed for the every 3 month inspection, so they made sure to put a note in the computer and a gently reminder to bring it the next time we came in. I am so grateful for this, as I want to keep up my warranty. As the rings were in the jewelry spa, he showed us some of the diamond earring upgrade options and some of the amazing forever diamond collection. The diamonds were perfect, so brilliant and elegantly set. The necklaces came on an adjustable chain and moved with such ease. He informed us that they only come from 4 mines, so none would be considered "blood diamonds". We perused over so many of their fine options. The gem collections were so lovely, the pearls, amethyst, sapphire, garnet and so on. Each collection was so captivating. We started to take note of the collection I want to build. I would not advise taking your rings here to be sized, I took some rings and when I returned to get them I was given different rings .I went the following day and spoke with a manager who would not look me in the face he kept his head down to the counter all the time he spoke to me. I had previously had a great experience at this location. I just went and was appauled at the way your store manager talked to a customer!! He was very rude and talked to them in a very sharp tone. I was offended for this woman. I will not be doing business here again due to feeling like I'll get the same customer service myself. Very disappointed in the manner and the way the store manager handeled himself!!!!!! I firmly believe you should treat others as you would want to be treated. I wonder if the store manager would like to be treated anywhere he goes the same way he treated this woman.
