Dorothy Lane Market to the rescue.... An early morning trip found few in parking lot and fewer in store. Very nice offering of Strawberry Pies at about $20.00 per pie. Is is worth it? Yes, absolutely. My wife loves this pie, and there will be many more. Travel tip: shop early morning.

Yes, Alaskan Salmon w possibility of Cooper River. This Salmon sales for much more at Dorothy Lane Market, and the DLM fish mongers know what they sell.... We always keep an eye on Kroger seafood, especially when we are aware of Copper River Salmon season or any approaching season - management should do the same. Let's hope for improved seafood management at Kroger.

I love grocery stores in general so I had fun looking at all the stuff we don't have in Michigan. Plus they have a big cheese counter and a BAR! I've never seen a Kroger with a bar, so that was funny to me. The prices were cheap but it was a Sunday morning so they were not open. I saw they had a sign about trivia and my brother said that people love to hang out there because it's so cheap. We ended up getting a platter of sushi that was in a flag-shaped container for Memorial Day, it was so funny to me and the sushi was actually very good for grocery store sushi.

They too are pleased. I also love the atmosphere in whole foods. I always feel relaxed and not so anxious to "get out" like in most other stores. Speaking of Whole Foods, I am on my way, right now. Need good organic greens to go into a new recipe. For me, it is the "go to store". I only have one slightly negative comment. Sometimes returns are difficult.

I think Meijers may be a bit more expensive than Walmart or Krogers but they do have weekly deals and a rewards program called mPerks. You can order stuff online and pickup at the store. There are pickup drive through lanes on the right side of the store. Recently, I ordered an HP printer that was on sale for $89.99. When I drove through the pickup line, the order ended up being $150.49 which was charged to my debit card. That is a negative and I did complain when I filled out an online survey. However, I then received a phone call from Bill A. informing me the printer was on sale when I ordered it but the sale ended when I went to pick it up. He said the sale price still should've been honored, but sometimes that does happen. They refunded the difference and it was credited back to my debit card in a few days. So, I believe they will try to make a mistake right. I go to this store from time to time, and although they occasionally run out of things, I think it is a good store.
