Been going here for years, I've gotten my nails done from businesses all around carson and dayton, but Dayton Nails does the best by far.

I dropped by yesterday afternoon to get a full set of pink/white acrylics and they did an amazing job. Daniel did them and they look wonderful. Not only that, but he was quick and my nails don't hurt like they usually do after getting my nails done. I would definitely recommend them! read more

I go here it's 5:30. Sign says they close at 6pm. I ask if they have time for one more. Girl is playing on here cell phone man is doing someone's nails. He talks to her she looks at him looks at me and laughs and continues playing on her phone. He say no not tonight. At first, the salon did not tell me that they DO NOT DO GEL NAILS - until after we were well into the process. I had specifically requested gels. My nails, acrylic with gel overlay, looked great the first day. All started to lift the second day. One nail came off 3 days later. (they did fix for free). Another nail has come off today (10 days after having them done). I wore acrylics for more than a year in the past and never had one pop off. In less than two weeks, two have popped off. Thought I would go here for a brow wax since it is a convenient. I've been waxing my brows since the age of 14, so I know it's not always pleasant. This was the most painful brow wax I've EVER had. The woman who did the wax---wish I had gotten her name---was super rude and rough like she was working on a dummy in esthetician school. Had a bad experience here the first time I went in. I decided to give it another chance, the first time the gal I had barely talked to me and would not engage in conversation. I always get acrylic put on my big toe and I made her aware, in the middle of my service she left and started working on another customer as I waited for someone else to come over and place the acrylic. Which the other person ended up finishing my service, I had to skip the massage part because they had me waiting so long. After looking at my toes they were filed crooked and the paint was on my cuticles. Tonight I decided to give them another shot because all I needed was 5 minutes of their time to place my acrylic that fell off my toe back on. I walked in and they only have a handful of people in there and a couple nail techs (I noticed two) not doing anything. I stated what I was there for and the gal rolled her eyes and said we are busy tonight and turned around. As someone who works with the public busy or not I put forth as much effort as I can to try and help customers out. 5 minutes of my time is not difficult or a big request. It's sad in such a small town we don't have very many places to choose from and this place does not produce good quality. I guess I will continue to drive an hour and fifteen minutes to Spanish Springs to continue to go to pedicures there. Busy or not I have never seen the place I go turn business away. read more

I went to this salon on a Friday to have a manicure and a pedicure. As soon as a walked into the salon, this gentleman pointed to this rack with bottles of nail polish on it and told me to pick a color, which I did. Everything went fairly well. Not any conversation or interaction, but my nails looked nice. This is where the nightmare begins. Two days later, I noticed that the nail polish was coming off my fingernails, so I called and was told to-come in, which I did. I saw this gentleman again,who took one look at my nails and said "this is regular nail polish, not gel. Gel lasts a lot longer, but costs more. Regular nail polish is only going to last a couple of days. WHAT !!!!!! A couple of days. Why wasn't I told. Basically, he said too bad for you.......then after much fussing on my part, he agreed to fix the tips where the nail polish was missing, and I was sent back to the nail polish rack to see if I could match the same color, which was really a challenge. Finally, after a song, dance and a story, he agreed to redo my fingernails. This salon has the worst customer service that I've ever experienced. I wouldn't go back there if they were offering free manicures. Honestly, stay away from this place. How very simple it would have been to just repaint my nails and be done with it. They would have had a happy customer who probably would have come back again, instead they have a really, really unhappy customer, who is on yelp telling everyone to STAY AWAY. They were beyond rude when I went in!!! I've had my nails done a couple times there and they have not been very good lifted falling off and things like that. I went 2 weeks ago to give them another chance and sat with someone I hadn't had before and she did great. I went back in to ask if she had time to do a fill and the guy names Jason was extremely rude. The time she had wasn't gonna work with my kids schedule so not a big deal I was going to just leave but he continued to be rude saying in a snotty voice if you want to request someone you need to make an apt. It's not what he said that was the problem it was the way he spoke to me! I was not mad that she didn't have room but that someone would be so rude to me just for coming in. Their work is amateur. Every time I go in the price for the same thing I want done always changes. Other than the fact that their place is extremely convenient, I try to avoid them now. 60$ for gel paint that lasts 3 days? I go in for a fix and she doesn't fix. As well as them becoming less and less professional, they do a half assed job honestly. read more

They were too concerned with people getting in and out. I asked for a gel manicure on my regular nails (which I've had done many places many times before). I received no manicure just a quick 5 minute job of terrible work. I'm on my second day with the gel polish less than 24 hours and it's peeling off. Save your money and go somewhere worth it. read more
