absolutely amazing!!! As someone who's been to multiple salons to get my eyebrows done this is by far the best one. I have naturally straight eyebrows so it's pretty hard to get a shape out of them. The lady, Donna, who did my eyebrows was not only friendly and very patient but made sure i was comfortable and getting what i wanted out of my appointment. she went slowly and only took a little off at a time so i didn't get freaked out or not get what i want. The desk staff and incredibly friendly!! the place has an amazing vibe as soon as you walk in AND they even put your name on a chalk board the day you have your appointment which felt like an absolutely amazing touch. as if it couldn't get any better i got a personal thank you letter in the mail days after my appointment!! overall it was just an amazing experience and i WILL be coming back. read more

Tyler is the best. He is so charismatic and charming - I love chatting with him he has such an interesting life and is a super hard worker. He also really cares about your hair and knows how to take care of it so you don't fry it or dry it out. I have been lucky to get last minute openings but he is usually booked out due to popularity. He also has later in the evening appointments that are convenient for some people like me. I was very surprised when I walked into the salon. It is way classier than I would've expected for Dayton. It is beautifully decorated and I love the color scheme of purples and grays and their little coffee area with Starbucks cups from all over the world. read more

I recently moved to Dayton from So Cal. I haven't been to a salon in about 12 years for ANY services. The same girl has done my hair in my home for those years. I was really apprehensive about getting my hair done and brows waxed. My hair has gotten thinner in the last year or so because of some health issues. Nothing serious but hair loss and thinning hair are a result. Absolutely a beautiful and clean salon! Lots of clients in chairs and getting other services, which is impressive to me. Elvia waxed my out-of-control brows. That HAD to happen!! She was very gentle and has a great personality. Most of all, my brows now look amazing, thanks to Elvia! Mary greeted me warmly at the front desk. She was so sweet and informed me of the offers of discounts and perks of being a client! I liked her immediately! Hanna worked my hair. She listened to what I was looking for and did it perfectly! My hair hasn't felt this great in YEARS and it looks better than ever! I just moved to Dayton over a month ago from San Jose and was looking for a nail salon to get a pedicure and acrylic nails. I reviewed several salons and came across TRU Salon & Spa and I decided to give the salon a try by getting a pedicure first. I was impressed by the clean salon, polite employees, and ended up meeting Angelina to get my pedicure. She was very polite and knew exaccly what she was doing, I was very pleased with the service and the quality job of my pedicure. I asked if she did acryclic nails as well, and indeed she did provide this service. I made an appointment with the receptionist, who was also very nice, and I had found the salon provide hair cuts for curly hair as well, and made an appointment. Today, I had my acrylic nails done and Angelina perfomed an awesome job on my nails. Exactly what I was looking for and not painful whatsoever. I made another appointment and will be returning tomorrow for my curly hair cut and color. I believe I have found my one-stop salon for all of my services. read more

Elvia is amazing. Love her. Tyler not so much. He does what he wants and if you ask for something different he gets annoyed and charges for it. He's expensive he charged me $465 to highlight my hair. I see Kim and now she has an assistant, who promises to be every bit as good. I have curly and coarse hair and her blow out is worth the drive to Dayton from Reno. Kim can cut any hair type. The second time we specifically requested a female stylist for my daughter as that's what she wanted. She explains to you why what you want will/won't work and offers alternatives. She's been doing hair (and make up!) for a long time and it shows. She knows her stuff! A big shout out to Tru Hair Studio and Britney. She really rocked my wife's hair. With this whole COVID-19 thing going on, she had a lot of gray roots growing in. About 2 1/2 inches with the rest of her hair being a deep mahogany red. My wife had been kicking around the idea of going to a lighter shade so that the gray roots don't show as much, and finally let them do what they had been recommending. Britney greatly lightened the red tones in her hair so it was just barely noticeable. And then she weaved in a blonde color and feathered it into the gray so well you can't even tell. My wife has very fine hair so Britney had to weave it in very tiny thin layers. She did a fantastic job. I have not seen my wife this pleased with her hair in at least two decades. If you have something you are trying to do with your hair and think it might be hard to do, give these people a call and ask for Britney. She is also a very nice gal, and made my wife feel very comfortable and safe. read more

I had heard nothing but great things about this place for the year I have lived here, and boy was I dumb for not coming here sooner! Brad helped me embrace my natural curls, and didn't do any fancy styling I would never be able to repeat at home! This is my go to salon and I'm usually not one for leaving reviews but this is one instance where I just felt I had to. I'd called earlier in the day to see if they had time for a walk-in visit but they were booked to the rafters. No problem, that's why I'd called ahead. So I'm out and about, desperate for a trim and I decided to stop at a place where my husband had gone several times before. They had a 4 1/2 star rating so I thought I was safe. I'd literally just gotten home the day before from a ten hour drive from SoCal so I was completely exhausted and once I'd discussed with the stylist what I wanted, I closed my eyes and let her go to work. I could feel her bringing my hair down in the back to make sure she was getting it all the same length so I thought Great, she's doing great. The next thing I knew she's asking for help from the manager because she didn't know how to point cut my sides to get them to blend with the back. I opened my eyes and OH MY GAWD!!!!! My trim had turned into a complete scalp job!!!! I'd gone in with hair about 6 to 8 inches long all over my head and she'd cut it so short in the back I swear you could see my scalp! I was quite literally in shock!!! She's cooing over how cute it is, she'd tried to cut into a modified a-line, and I'm just walking like a zombie to the cash register to get out. By the time I got to the car I was sobbing. I called TRU Hair and spoke to Mary and begged for the first appointment they could find. They not only got me in that evening, Jenna, the little sweetie that repaired my disaster of a haircut, did such a wonderful job that I'm going to keep it this way! It looks amazing! Talk about making lemonade out of lemons! This salon is the best. Even if you don't live in Dayton, it would be worth the drive just to come to this salon. read more

I really wanted to love this place & was hoping it would be my new spot to go since recently moving to Nevada. The ladies were super friendly, they had all kinds of fun product for hair, its a pretty atmosphere. But the girl who did my cut really messed up on one side & I've spent months now trying to grow it back to get it fixed. Its super obvious (lovely having this happen within the first week of a new relationship too, ugh, embarrassing). I remember thinking to myself "what the f is this girl doing?!" as she cut & there was no going back. I deal with trying to hide this spot daily (its a shot style so its not easy & most of the time impossible). I had set my kiddos up to go & just couldn't do it and never showed. I really don't want to put the girl on blast, she was very sweet, she just seemed new or inexperienced. Bri was so friendly and I felt very comfortable making an appt there. They offer a beverage as soon as you enter. Lindsay did a fantastic job on the cut. Rachel, the owner, is extremely talented, as are all of the stylists! Bri has colored my hair, and I love it! My husband is now a client there.
