This is not a review of the work the company provides but I had a run in with someone driving one of their vehicles. The driver was driving erratically then jumped into my lane with no warning almost causing an accident. Then he continued to drive erratically in-front of me. When I called the number on the back of the truck the person who answered the phone informed me this vehicle had been sold two month ago. I don't believe that to be true as I called the number in the truck its self and it still had all of the company info. If this is true then beware of who comes to your home. I am posting a picture of the vehicle in question for everyone's safety. If the person on the phone lied to me and told me there was nothing he could do, instead of apologizing this was very wrong of you. And if not beware who you let into your home and around your family when it pertains to this company. read more

Dan and his company were referred to me by my real estate agent as a general contractor who would be good for the size of remodel we wanted in our new home. My realtor was right! Dan was very easy to work with once he knew we were the type of clients that came with our own design ideas. As he would tell us, "You pick it. We stick it." He has a vast network of vendors so when we needed to go find tile or flooring it was a smooth process. His crew did a great job of making our vision come to life. Even our tight deadline and project additions, Dan and his crew delivered a project that went beyond our expectations. Our house looks like a new build. After the initial project he has stayed in contact and has come through to help us with smaller projects with the same attention to deal and timeliness. My wife and I worked with DB Construction to address some damage done to our home from flooding during the storms in early 2017. He was frequently aggressive and impatient with both myself and my wife when we had questions about the work he was going to be doing. When we had concerns about some details that were wrong, he was combative and disagreeable - often finding ways to blame us or otherwise avoid responsibility. Many of the issues were not glaring, but were things he did not indicate could be problems in advance. Communication was an issue, in that regard. He assured us that he would return to the property and address some of the issues, but doesn't return our calls and texts. It was clearly never a priority for him. I give two stars because some of his contractors were very talented. The man he subcontracted to do our tile work, Fernando, was exceptional. He was kind and hard-working - very easy to chat with. There were some mishaps regarding the color of our grout that Dan was unwilling to remedy, but the actual tile work is quite beautiful. I've come to accept the problems that exist now, and frankly might not be half as bothered by them had he been more polite and open-minded regarding our concerns. I found it absurd that I had to prepare myself for any conversation with him, knowing he would fight me on every concern every inch of the way. I believe that if you take on a project with DB you MIGHT find it to be a success. It really depends on who he brings out to the job, and perhaps the size of the job you are having done. If you are small-peanuts relative to his other work, this will likely be reflected in the amount of attention he gives you and his willingness to fix problems that arise. Best of luck. read more

We just completed total remodels of three bathrooms with DB Group Construction involving new countertops, plumbing, carpentry and major tilework and feel very fortunate to have found Dan to work with. He will be prompt to meetings, answer all your questions, provide all necessary contacts, and provide a construction schedule (in detail!) which he kept to. Since my last review, communication has greatly improved. The pipe that brings water to our fridge and ice maker that has been broken for a long time is now fixed (in time for the hot season), and not only has the affected area been repaired by DB Group, but they redid our whole kitchen/dining room floor. Their goal of making their clients happy is real, and I am grateful that they followed through with not only the original/desired work, but in going above and beyond. There are two other details I'd like to share at this time. Rather than particle board, they used plywood under the tile, both of which seem to be valid options, but there are certain advantages with plywood that should make any future repairs and other possible issues less of a problem. The other is a bit of knowledge the one who did our floor imparted to me. If there are ever scratches (at least minor ones) in tile like ours, you can get rid of them by wiping them down with paint thinner.
