So i recently had my double garage door completely malfunction. After messing with it for awhile I new it was time to call in a pro. After calling a couple of local companies DC Garage Door called me back and said they could be here in a couple of hours. Their technician Jeramiah arrived early and gave me a price of $479 and said he could most likely fix it. After about 30 minutes all was good and he was on his way. So DC provided quick service and a knowledgable/professional service tech. My garage door now once again is working as it should. Is $479 a fair price? I have nothing to compare it to. read more

This company is not worthy of your business. They put up my opener about two years ago, used my old wires and sensors from my old unit. Which now that I think about it they probably kept the new ones that came in my new opener box. But let's fast forward I called them out here recently because my door hasn't been going down they came out I explained what the door was doing. They only tighten the bolts it worked for a week or two. Called them again letting them know the problem still exists she told me I would be charged another fee just to come look at it again. I of course called different company one that believed me checked the sensors told me that the sensors and the wiring has been there for a long time replaced both, oiled my door, tracks, wheels and tighten chain. It's not possible for me to be more complimentary of the services they provided to me and my home. I called a competitor of theirs initially, during normal business hours, and had to leave a message (no live person answering). After waiting multiple business days for a return call, I finally gave up. I searched on Yelp and the Yellowpages and randomly came across this organization. I called, a live person answered (a lost practice nowadays, and took down some initial information. Within a few minutes, a technician called me to clarify and then coordinated a time where he could come out and address the garage door issues. David was great. He didn't give me a window of time, meaning he didn't say "I can be there tomorrow some time between 8am and 4pm" like other companies do. He worked with me to find a specific time on the SAME DAY that would work for my schedule. He showed up on time for the service, repaired what I needed repaired, educated me on proper garage door utilization and maintenance, and most importantly, was a professional the entire time, and provided an overall great service. His rate was extremely reasonable for that kind of service. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. read more

We had an issue with our large garage door, and it was stuck halfway up. We called after-hours and were excited they had a technician available to come within the hour. We were told the service charge was $150. When the technician (Zach) arrived, he quoted us $775 to fix it! We were stunned. But we couldn't leave the door halfway up all night and no one else had called us back yet. It was 8:30 p.m. at this point. The new spring we had installed by another company had cost us half just 10 months before this! After about 90 minutes, it was fixed, and when he handed us the bill, it was $925 (no parts were needed! That was just labor)! We balked and the tech got mad and said he wasn't going to get paid. We asked for a breakdown of the charges, and he didn't provide any. He stormed across our driveway, then told us technicians only get 15% so he was going home after fixing our door without pay. Is $925 a fair price? Heck no! Did we have a choice at that point? Not really. We didn't feel we did, anyway. It was 10:00 p.m. We called the offices the next morning to complain and ask for a partial refund (or at least a breakdown of their hourly rate) and were told "thanks for feedback; too bad." Based on my Sears Warranty DC garage doors was contacted due to a broken spring. I contacted DC garage to set up an appointment and to inform Kimberly that the spring has broken. When the tech was on his way Kimberly requested my credit card information over the telephone for $100.00. When the tech arrived he started yes the spring is broken and Sears Warranty does not cover this service and provide a price to fix the broken spring. I selected not to get the service done since the price seemed very high. Call TipTop garage doors and their price was much cheaper with additional services provided. I called Kimberly back to request a refund of my $100.00 and she refused. Posting these comments to ensure other customers do not make the same mistake. read more

DC Garage Door Services was sourced by my home warranty company to repair my garage door opener. The first service call resulted in the repairman removing the sensors to my garage door and unhooking some wires from the opener in an attempt to determine the source of the issue. When we determined that he would not be able to complete the job the same day due to an issue with my home warranty company, he departed without reattaching the items that he dismantled. Fast forward...I'm trying to get additional quotes on the repairs and other companies are not able to do so because a sensor was missing and things were left undone (so they could not determine the cause of the problems for my home warranty company. When I requested DC Garage Door come back to put things back together they insisted that they would never have left my garage in the condition that they did. I sent them pictures, and eventually the same repairman came back. He re-attached one sensor and when he was about to leave, I asked about the other and the motor for the opener with the loose wires. He told me that he was going to his truck to make a call, and instead he got in his truck and drove away, leaving me with a garage door that was in worse shape than when I started. When I called DC Garage Door to complain, they said they had completed what they needed to do, and they had nothing to do with my missing sensor. This resulted in my no longer being qualified for coverage from my home warranty company and having to pay out of pocket for and entirely new garage door opener (including sensors, etc.), in addition to the $125 deductible I'd paid DC Garage door originally when my home warranty company sent them to assess the repair needs. I would never recommend this company to anyone. The repairman was unethical and his actions resulted in me ultimately overpaying for repairs. read more
