For the most part, I was impressed with their professionalism, courteous workers, and timeliness. However, I was really disappointed when I realized they had overused the pressure washer on our wooden handrails, resulting in several chunks of wood being removed. After walking around, it seems like our unit got the worst of it, which is disheartening. What made the situation even more frustrating was when an employee insisted that the damage wasn't caused by the pressure washer. He then told me his boss would be there in a couple of minutes to discuss the issue, but after waiting for over 30 minutes, no one showed up. I don't recommend companies that handle concerns in this manner. I have sent an email to the HOA to address this, but I'm leaving this review to express my disappointment with how my concerns were dismissed. It's not the kind of service I expected. Update: The Two Brothers' manager representative showed up an hour later and was speaking with the president of our HOA outside my front door. When I came outside, I overheard that they are going to replace the handrail. I then had to ask for an apology on behalf of the employee who had completely disregarded me. I might not be the president or a board member, but you wouldn't have a board or a president without a community of residents like myself who pay a monthly fee for services like this to take place.

First the good - The main painter on the job (Lucio) was a conscientious and hard worker. He…read moreclearly cared about his work and did a good job. (Thank you Lucio). The main problem - Our house has cedar shingles. The rear of the house is painted, the front is stained - and we wanted to keep the staining at the front. We pointed out to their estimator that some of the stained shingles has caulking marks on them - he told us the stain would cover the marks. He was wrong, but we didn't find that out until they'd finished painting the rear of the house. The team did their best to cover the caulking marks with touch up marker - they look ok from the street, but are very obvious close-up. Had the estimator told us that the stain wouldn't cover these marks, we would have had the whole house painted a single color - but in a different color than we chose for just the rear. There were also some smaller problems - - The quote stated that a porta-potty would be provided - it wasn't. Presumably the quoted price included this. - The quote stated that plants would be covered to protect from spraying - the rhododendron bushes in front of my house now have paint-spattered leaves, and look like they might not survive. - Some of the painters who helped out for just small part of the job weren't very careful - two of my path lights were broken (which they tried to hide by balancing the broken lights on their stands), and someone ripped most of the branches off one rhododendron bush instead of tying them back. - A petrol stain was left on our front path where they refueled their pressure washer. I pointed out these issues to the project manager. I'm very disappointed that no-one from the iTech office has contacted me to apologize, and I can only assume that they don't really care. Therefore I would not recommend them.

From the outset, Tyler was a great listener and really thoughtful about how to get our house exterior looking just the way we want it. He would tell me if he thought something might not work well (like my too-light color suggestion for our concrete patio) or which colors might not hold up well over time; and then give suggestions on what could work better. He's a true expert on old houses like our 1938 house with original cedar shake siding that has some layers of lead paint. Regarding cost--they were the second-lowest bid out of five bids (probably partly because they are one of the only ones who really listened to our desires and didn't add a bunch of stuff we weren't looking for to the bid) and the only company who was willing to remove & replace all house attachments needed such as trellises and storm windows, including a very large and heavy storm window on our front picture window. Worth every penny of investment to absolutely LOVE how our home looks. Tyler and crew are everything we hoped for...professional, punctual, super hard working, easy to work with, great attitudes; and they paid great attention to detail. Just a bunch of incredibly nice people! We will definitely contract Shades of Rose again for our next painting projects and highly recommend them to anyone who wants painstaking care taken to maintain the original aesthetics of their home (or to update it to a more contemporary look, if that's what you desire)!

The final straw was today I opened…read morethe can of foundation paint and wanted to paint my back gate the same color ONLY TO LEARN the paint was FLAT and not SEMIGLOSS - what company would do that. We had trouble with them EVERYDAY and had to have a supervisor come out. We talked with the sales rep exactly what we wanted, to have a NEW look to the outside of our house. We showed the sales rep what we wanted sanded down get rid of the imperfections. They did a little sanding and filling some spots but that is what I could do, I wanted professionals to come in and make my house look new again!!!!! I had to do so much repair and repaint the south wall, but I do not have a professional sander. I also did not get my 5 gallon paint bucket back of the original house color. I DO NOT recommend this painting firm at all. Three neighbors have asked us for a recommendation and we said no way! I now they will provide a rebuttal to this review, but I stand by my review and they too looked around and agreed with me.
