Initially, there was miscommunication about what was included in the quote, be he was open to making it right and getting us into the house within a certain timeframe. Well, let me tell you, the crew is amazing! They got us into the house and even came back out to handle a couple of problem spots as the varnish was coming off the treads of the stairs. They came back and fixed it, of course, at no cost. Its great to find a company that's affordable and does quality work. But its even better to find a company that is responsive and willing to respond and make things right when things go south - this is the company.

His bid was more than the other guys but I really liked him and thought he was a good man. While chatting he told me about his dead wife, which later I found out that was bullshit.. we connected on our faith and I really thought I "scored" with him. At the time of meeting there was still some carpet on the floors but I had raised it so he could see the extensive damage. He was very clear that he could do the job and do the job right. Never once did he recommend that I replace the entire floor as being the only option, he made a passing comment but I said I wasn't interested if we could restore what we had. I made it known that I was going out of town and that I was not in a rush. He told me to have the house cleared by Sunday of that week. My husband and I spent the next few days making sure the house was cleared and the carpet was ripped out. After the carpet was ripped out I realized the floors were worse than I thought and I went ahead and sent him photos of the floors - his response is in the email screenshot below. Again, he did not recommend completely ripping out the floors and starting fresh. He did say that some wood would need to be replaced and that there would be some discoloration, I'm 100% ok with the discoloration - I actually kind of like it. He ended up replacing 25sq ft of flooring (or so he says) and I even allowed him to add baseboards - which I'll add her verbally quoted me one thing and charged me more. Before I leave out of town I give him $2000 cash for the deposit. He finished the job while I'm away. I pay him, site unseen, and additional $2500 via zelle. This is only because my bank would not allow me to send more. Leaving me with a balance of a little over $600. I get home a day or two later and see the floors. I'm heartbroken, I immediately contact him and send him videos and photos of the work and how unfinished it is. He strings me along for about a week and finally sends a guy to fix the baseboards and "add more color" to the cracks in the floors.. this takes two days and when it was done I just sent him the money even though I knew he truly didn't deserve it. We spent the next few weeks moving furniture into the home. I purchased large rugs so literally very little of the floor is exposed. We've lived in the home for about 30 days and the floors are falling apart. I dropped an ice cube on the floor and it ruined that part of the floor. The ice didn't even have a chance to melt but what little water that did get on the floor did crazy damage! I was very clear before work started that the floors need to be sealed. I have animals and kids, we can't have floors I need to baby.. accidents happen. He guaranteed me I'd be happy and asked me to give them a chance. Now here we are 30 days after moving in and I think I e given them a chance.. I wrote Davis an email this morning asking that he refund the floor refinishing cost. I'd work with him on the price but give me something back so I can put that towards new floors and he basically told me to F off! I included his email below.. but his response to my unhappiness about the floors was the rip out the baseboards and refund that cost. The whole situation is a nightmare and now I'm going to have to file a claim with small claims court as well as with the BBB and against his license. I'm not one to want something for nothing. I put my trust in him and he didn't deliver. He owes me this refund. My advice to anyone looking to get a floor is stay away from this company and Davis. Don't fall for his smooth talking and bullshit.. he isn't going to do you any favors and you'll be so bummed with the end results.
