None of these are specified in the 2022 Rav4 Prime Warranty & Maintenance Guide, nor did the advisor show any inspection evidence that these procedures are necessary. Poor Management Experience with Daryl Callahan, Saved Only by Two Great Employees Anthony Fakhoury and Jaime Garcia I recently purchased a vehicle from DCH Wappingers Falls Toyota, and while I love the car and appreciate the finance and sales support, my experience was overwhelmingly stressful and frustrating--mainly because of the behavior of Sales Manager Daryl Callahan. Over three separate visits, I was misled about optional add-ons like Pulse and NitroFill, which I made clear I did not want or need. Despite stating multiple times (in person and on the phone) that I wanted to stick to the advertised price and stay within my budget, I was pressured and told these extras were "mandatory." When I finally stood my ground, I was told I was being disrespectful--simply for trying to be heard. This is not the "hassle-free, pressure-free" experience the dealership advertises. The ONLY reason I completed the purchase was thanks to Anthony Fakhoury and Jaime Garcia. Their professionalism, empathy, and ability to actually listen made a huge difference. They treated me and my family with respect and helped us finish the process with dignity. If you go to this dealership, ask for them specifically. Just another sleezy car lot. We were looking at a used car they took on trade that had roughly $2000 in bodywork needing done. Drove great and we could make it work if they were willing to at least acknowledge the fact that they over valued it with said damage. Beyond that, they presented us with an out the door price almost $4000 higher than list price which included an optional package for cloth and paint warranty and roadside service etc. when we told the salesman that we didn't need that package, he said it was actually required. So I bought a car from DCH Wappingers this winter and everything has been fine with that. I also bought a service agreement for $700 that would take care of all future inspections and oil changes. My maintenance light comes on so so thought I'd bring it by. The guy schedules me for an appointment 3 weeks later. Not ideal But okay. He offers to help reset the maintenance light. Seems pretty open and shut. I pull in, hand my keys to another guy and he hands me a number. I go in and wait. 2 hours later I wonder what's going on. The first guy asks, "You didn't check in with one of us?" " I thought I had checked in with you." Nothing was done. 2 hours wasted because apparently I didn't know their "system" and no one bothered to wonder about why I might be waiting there. Major communication and leadership issues at this dealership. Probably a lot of good individuals just trying to do a good job but there's an obvious lack of cohesion that's going to result in subpar service in more than one way. I bought a car from DCH in Nanuet and got the high pressure sale for an extended warranty. They assured me I could use the local DCH in wappingers for repairs. I brought my car to them for an oil leak that should be covered in the "Zero Deductible" Engine and Drivetrain 100k mile warranty.Like all used car dealers they tried to tack on $2000 for a brake job that I did myself 10k miles ago.So, they lie about what you need. They had the car for three weeks, and still charged me over $700 for a repair that should have been covered. But the worst part is, just through coincidence, I had the mileage written down when it got delivered by tow truck. Turns out someone needed a four wheel drive during the snow storm and my car (jeep) came back with 80 more miles on the odometer. So car was finished on friday, but couldn't pick up until monday, AFTER the snow storm. Really bad business and warning anyone to be wary of these people. First off the two reps I had spoken with (most recently Kara) on two separate occasions for whatever reason both had an attitude while I'm trying to put money in their pockets. Secondly, I will say the car was fairly priced but then here come the fees. An extra $2500 for basically nothing and not willing to negotiate. I purchased a 2023 Lexus 300h from this dealership back on December 18, 2024. The transaction went smoothly and without a hitch. When it was time to drive off, everyone realized there was only one Fob. The Service manager (Dennis Pitcher) and my Salesman (Saned Nesheiwat) spent the next 3 weeks tracking down the second Fob from the previous owner of my vehicle. the previous owner was in Florida. Despite this - I received the second Fob on January 7, 2025. This level of service is exemplary - especially after a sale has been closed. Dealerships often get flamed for poor customer service or for poor product delivery. It is a pleasure to write up a positive review for these gentlemen. I bought a car "certified" corolla from this through driveway.com when it was delivered it was not clean on the outside, not clean on the inside, numerous scratches, chips, ding in the hood, front bumper is broken they rigged it seems like it was in a front end accident where there the car was never repaired and the bumper was pieced back on. Windshield has a chip front dash has scratches, trash in the door and dirty on the floor and in the trunk. Thank god I spent the time to get it detailed so I could see all the damage. They will get it back cleaner then I got it. If you review the 160 car inspection for certified Toyota this car should have never passed there standard certification process. Buyer beware! We were in the market November/December 2019 for a Prius Prime. We decided with all of the tax incentives to purchase a new car. We used USAA's TrueCar feature to reach out to a couple dealership. After a very poor experience with a Manhattan dealership we were a bit wary to say the least. DCH Wappingers Falls Toyota was polite, responsive and beyond helpful from first contact. I was connected with Mary B. (She offered a great first price which was literally thousands under the first price received from 3 other dealerships!) Mary B. was upfront, honest, candid and was knowledgeable about the tax incentives. We were obviously a bit nervous to travel 2ish hours from Manhattan upstate to buy a car but the experience COULD NOT HAVE BEEN BETTER! Everything we discussed with Mary B. was exactly correct the car, VIN, color, features etc. In the location we worked with the sales man Jason who very kindly picked us up from the train station to bring us to the dealership (we coordinated this in advance with Mary)! Talk about excellent customer service! We test drove the car, discussed features and when there was an issue with the insurance we had set up Jason pitched in to make sure insurance had the correct info and fixed the policy. Jason even heated some soup that I brought with me on the trip for lunch. Once we agreed to purchase, we worked with Naeem R. to review warranty options and go over payment. Naeem has one of the best personalities ever! Both my husband and I were at ease with him and had a BLAST working with him. He has a fantastic sense of humor, is a gentleman and truly great professional. We ran through all of the warranty options and settled on one that suited our needs. Naeem also included a little Toyota Bear when we asked because we have a German Shepard that loves to snuggle with toys. (The German Shepard loves the car and her Toyota Bear!) Another bonus is that Wappingers has some added features to the car but not thousands of dollars worth like other dealerships which can bloat the price. The all weather mats and other features added after the factory were all actually really quality and helpful. Obviously, do your research and be an informed consumer so you can partake in the process and be able to accurately pick the best warranty option for you but I truly do not think anyone can do better than this dealership. This weekend I was talking to some friends about how much I love my Toyota and I'd buy another one in a heartbeat. Then when asked where to buy I instantly said, "Don't go to Wappingers, whatever you do don't go to Wappingers!" When I purchased my vehicle here back in 2009 they had a run down customer service area, decent sales men/women and even a slightly overzealous pushy finance guy but my purchase was a very pleasant one at the time. Even my initial maintenance visits were good. However, I have to say service here and my overall experience has gone downhill very fast over the past few years. Since my purchase they've renovated with a really beautiful service area but beauty doesn't mean wonderful or useful. While I initially loved this place, I never visit anymore because the quality and service here is dreadful. Sadly the original sales associate I recommended prospective customers to ask for had passed away several years ago. It seems that amazing customer service passed away with that great man. Stay away from this dealer! I recommend the Newburgh location if it's not too far but if you really want Toyota then you really want to visit the Newburgh location. read more

This post may be 2 yrs late but I feel I need vent I purchased a 2022 Corolla cross in September of 2022. I am pretty aware of new cars and what's offered the car was a new model and not much information was given , reason I am aggravated is that over time I have been reading that my corolla cross XLE top of the line comes with a built in remote start !! In the key fob I was not aware of this option I love having remote start for the winter so I asked to have the system installed and it cost a lot . The dealer said sure we can add that option so I was happy. So the more I became aware I tried my key fob and sure enough it starts the car !! I called the dealer and the sales man had no answer said it must of been me hitting the remote start Fob. My question is how can a car dealer agree to me asking for a remote start start system when they knew it was built in ???? I purchased several cars from dch Wappingers I felt safe in all my purchases and I said finally a honest dealer. Now dch can come on here and say all day long well you asked for the system to be installed and once again I did ask for it but once again the dealer knew it was already equipped. ***FOR GREAT CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE, STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP*** When purchasing my vehicles in 2019, I was told that Toyota Care would cover ALL routine maintenance up until 25,000 miles or 2 years. When calling the service department prior to 2 years with 24,000 miles, they told me that the oil change was going to cost me $120. Their explanation was that only "2" oil changes are covered in the plan even though I am due for another one. I asked to speak with a manager and I clearly told him that this was not what was sold to me when purchasing the vehicle from his dealership and asked him to wave the fee for this oil change. (They WERE going to rotate my tires for free though because apparently, that was covered.) He would not wave the fee and tried to tell me the rules of Toyota Care. I got extremely frustrated because AGAIN, this is not how the program was sold to me when purchasing my vehicle. I decided not to proceed with the oil change and told the manager that after purchasing 3 vehicles at Wappingers Falls Toyota in the last 10 years, I would not be purchasing another. He said, "over an oil change?" He then ended the conversation stating there was nothing he could do and "okie dokie" before disconnecting. The bottom line is, train you sales people to understand the products before selling them and train your service team to care about clients. Do not purchase any warranties from this dealership. They're deceptive with their wording and definition of maintenance. They'll send you notifications for maintenance and put mileage stickers on your car indicating you need to service your vehicle. So you continue to get oil changes every 5,000 miles and then when you hit your limit, thats when they tell you it's every 10,000. Trying to upsell and taking a long time to get everything settled.
