Actually just discovered this area/alley as I was exploring Pueblo. Didn't stop and eat or drink. I came to go fishing! I'll be back for sure. What a cool and interesting place.......

The service, location and quality of food are amazing! The ambiance of the patio at Sunset is breathtaking!

Crab cake & Crab claw appetizer

Traveled through and stopped in town for the weekend, got lucky and found this place! Sarah the General Manager was amazing, the service was stellar! Laid back easy going vibes while still retaining a very classy and vintage approach to dining. Ordered the crab cakes along with the crab claw appetizer and they were the both incredible. The main courses were both perfectly cooked and the quality blew us away. Both desserts followed suit in quality and perfect portion size. Allowed us to try all of the various dishes while still leaving full! Exactly what I would be looking for in a unique fine dinning experience. Will be coming back just for this place!

Brie Cheese. Had apple slices, bread, strawberries, red onion, cranberries, walnuts.

Best surf and turf I've had in a LONG time. We had the Triple Plate (steak, lobster tail, and crab cakes). The Brie Cheese for appetizer was very tasty. The homemade apple pie with vanilla ice cream was a great way to finish the meal.

Salmon and capers. Rich and wonderful!

Oh my goodness! If you're on the fence about where to eat in Pueblo, just put your brain in "Park" and get over to this place! It's cozy, SUPER friendly and one of the BEST dinners I've ever had in a restaurant. We started off with the baked Brie appetizer. Presentation was stunning! The Brie was warm with a great accompaniment of sliced strawberries, apple, some dried cranberries, a little red onion and some crostini. The Brie just oozed onto that bread like silk! Delicious! I ordered the lamb chops while my wife had the salmon with creamy caper sauce. Both dishes, again come beautifully presented. I had the lamb prepared to chef's preference (best way to order them) and they came out a perfect medium-rare and seasoned just right. You don't even need a knife to cut them; incredibly tender. The grilled vegetables were also a wonderful addition to the plate. Asparagus, potatoes, squash, brussel sprouts, and others were excellent with this dish. Her salmon was also an excellent choice. It was perfectly cooked and flaked apart with ease. The creamy caper sauce was rich and velvety. Pasta was tender and plentiful. If you (waddle) walk away hungry from this dish, you need help. We were offered dessert, but there's no way we could push ourselves any further - even though they are baked fresh every day. Maybe on our return trip .... and there WILL be a return trip. Again, the service is top-drawer and prices are quite reasonable given the extraordinary delights coming from that kitchen.

Small, beautiful setting and attentive service. The chicken and salmon piccata were both outstanding.

As expected, maneuver around the location and parking were problematic. Because of that, and the cold weather, we came early, arriving about 4:40. While we were willing to wait elsewhere, the proprietors seated us immediately while we waited for our other two parties to arrive. Big props for being accommodating. The food was top notch and the menu ranging from commonplace to exotic. Every dish had an element of gourmet treatment. All the entrees we ordered were excellent. The venue is small. I wouldn't say 'intimate', given that it has large windows facing the street, but it was cozy enough on a cold night. OUr server was very friendly, helpful and attentive. Prices are not cheap, but reasonable for the quality and creativity of the menu. We didn't order wine, but instead Italian beers in a brand I'd not heard of, allowing us to try something other than the usual two brands commonly available.

Service was outstanding, it felt like a choreography with how well our server took care of us. The space itself is part restaurant, part bar, with that odd almost-purple lighting that every spot for locals seems to emit. It's a bit noisy inside as a result, but it is what it is I suppose. The burrata starter was delicious. The burrata itself was so fresh, and the accoutrement were similarly tasty. For mains, the insalata with octopus and shrimp was really good, packed with seafood and balanced with citrus from a light dressing. The ravioli pueblo was interesting. The chile in the sauce was a really nice touch, adding some interesting spice to the dish. The sauce itself was very thick, the heaviness took away from the dish a tiny bit. But all in all, a great sit down meal in Pueblo!

It was pretty magical since it was absolutely adorable in there. There were two staff members who were so cool. One (of course I don't remember the name because I'm the WORST with names) was so friendly and talked to us for a while. They made some recommendations, chatted for a little, and really made out short time there really lovely. 100% will be back for dessert and a glass of wine.

It pains me to write this review, as the Upstairs Wine Bar has been our regular spot for years -…read moreafter we stumbled upon it like some best-kept secret. Discovering new wines, great breads and charcuterie - with an atmosphere that gave the impression of Italian getaway, the Upstairs Wine Bar was, in a word, "special." Sitting by the warm fire, with classical music or Spanish Guitar filling the air, it was easy to see the owner's vision and it was well-executed. But that was before. This is now (our last three visits over the past 2 months): Loud club music banging. The hearth has gone cold. Missing art work draws attention to empty wall space. But these regressions are downright innocent compared to the service. I have only experienced a single individual working as a server during the past few visits, with another individual working behind the counter. Neither possesses any knowledge of the menu and (our server in particular) had clearly never been trained in wine service or service in general. No pours, just slaps the bottle down with two glasses and asks if we want anything else. But I need to backtrack, we first ask him about the wines, he can't answer a single question, to the point that we aren't even certain he's looked at the menu or even tasted the offerings. His manner is loose and unprofessional, brazen. He is dressed like The Crow, with his belly exposed, ready for a rave. This was consistent during all our visits. However, let me be clear, I don't care how anyone dresses in public, period. I don't care what gender you are or what gender you are attracted to. I don't judge unless I'm paying and wine service commands some degree of formality or at least basic etiquette, education of the menu notwithstanding. These qualities weren't discernable at the most basic level and did not improve with subsequent visits. However, there is one piece of knowledge our server was able to render: the lack of availability for many menu items, which would be the theme over our most recent visits. When we finally receive the meat and cheese plate, the prosciutto has been butchered and carved off in thick strips. We made it clear we DID NOT want one particular meat, which - of course - was one of the three on the plate, as the server either had no idea which one was which or simply forgot in the few seconds it took walk from our table to the kitchen. Finally, only ONE cheese was available of the 3 options, and this supply issue was given no explanation, but remained a problem during for our last three visits. Just to be transparent, it's about $100 for the two of us to enjoy a bottle of wine and small plate, so it's not exactly cheap - but this was a small price to pay for the atmosphere that has long since evaporated. What's replaced it has no business calling itself a wine bar. Sadly, we won't be returning - at least for some time - with the hopes that it can regain its standards. We eagerly await that reunion!
