First time eating here, drove into Pueblo from Florence to experience this Italian restaurant. Four of us to celebrate a birthday. I can find no fault tonight. Food was excellent, service was excellent. Tim was our waiter. Thank you, Tim, for a wonderful evening. Desert was to die for; we tried three of them! Lasagna, cheese pasta, garlic olive oil pasta but the winner was the Pappardelle Ragu! Atmosphere was cozy, pleasant, small space but yet comfortable. Parking is rough as it is the downtown Riverwalk area, had to walk a few blocks on a Thursday night. Highly recommend and will be back. read more

For a restaurant in a smaller city, La Forchetta was impressive! They had good Italian food infused with local flavor, and for a decent price. Service was outstanding, it felt like a choreography with how well our server took care of us. The space itself is part restaurant, part bar, with that odd almost-purple lighting that every spot for locals seems to emit. It's a bit noisy inside as a result, but it is what it is I suppose. The burrata starter was delicious. The burrata itself was so fresh, and the accoutrement were similarly tasty. For mains, the insalata with octopus and shrimp was really good, packed with seafood and balanced with citrus from a light dressing. The ravioli pueblo was interesting. The chile in the sauce was a really nice touch, adding some interesting spice to the dish. The sauce itself was very thick, the heaviness took away from the dish a tiny bit. But all in all, a great sit down meal in Pueblo! read more

I'm not someone to write reviews but I felt the need to jump on this place for how terrible the food was. I can't speak on the entire menu, but the Chicken Cacciatore was the definitely of dog food. Boiled chicken with salsa and raw potato is what was served to me and they played it off as a $30 plate. It was the recommendation from the waitress and it was honestly worse than anything you would get at the homeless shelter. I talked to one of the supervisors to let them know I was dissatisfied with the food and instead of trying to offer something else they just became short with our table and the service went to bare minimum. I have been here several times now. And I will be back. The food is absolutely amazing, everything is cooked well, the flavors are excellent. The owner and staff provide the best service you could ever ask for. And the atmosphere is perfect for a nice dinner out. We tried La Forchetta for the first time last evening. We had an excellent experience. Here's the story: We actually made a bit of a mistake in reserving for 5:30 pm on the same evening as the local Parade of Lights, which goes right down Union Ave. in front of the restaurant. As expected, maneuver around the location and parking were problematic. Because of that, and the cold weather, we came early, arriving about 4:40. While we were willing to wait elsewhere, the proprietors seated us immediately while we waited for our other two parties to arrive. Big props for being accommodating. The food was top notch and the menu ranging from commonplace to exotic. Every dish had an element of gourmet treatment. All the entrees we ordered were excellent. The venue is small. I wouldn't say 'intimate', given that it has large windows facing the street, but it was cozy enough on a cold night. OUr server was very friendly, helpful and attentive. Prices are not cheap, but reasonable for the quality and creativity of the menu. We didn't order wine, but instead Italian beers in a brand I'd not heard of, allowing us to try something other than the usual two brands commonly available. read more

In town for a dance competition. Decided to try something local and was impressed with La Forchetta. Water tasted good for starters. Traveling, you get a sense of areas by water, weird but not weird if you travel a lot. Salad was fresh & delicious. The Pueblo Ravioli was my choice and the flavor was great, sausage, cream, and a heat to tie it together. If there was a location in south Denver I'd be visiting often. read more

The service was wonderful and the attention to detail was remarkable. Th staff had up on the back patio. It was covered and there were heaters. This is a hidden treasure of Pueblo. Nestled in some of the old building on Union Street, you travel into a little slice of Italy as you walk through the doors. Menu indicates that its gets a season update and even indicates what's "new" if you are return customer. The special was a lobster ravioli which if any indication of that dish...I would recommend ordering the daily special every time. From the summer menu, our table also ordered the Veal Shank (Ossobuco), the Aglio e Olio pasta. The veal shank was big size portion and our server indicated that it sells out regularly. If its available, order it. The Aglio has a kick and perfect if you enjoy pasta without a lot of sauce. Pasta is freshly made and the perfect amount of olive oil, garlic, Parmesan cheese and red pepper. As mentioned above, highly recommend the Ravioli. The cheese sauce was perfect for the raviolis and complimented the lobster. We saved room for desert and ordered a chocolate mousse and was gracious comped panna cotta. It was my parents wedding anniversary so it was an amazing gesture from the owners. This is a must-go restaurant. read more

First of all, let's talk about bread baby! The bread for dipping is amazing. It's focaccia I think, soft and pillowy! The staff were very nice. The menu was a little hard to read (I'm old lol) so I do recommend taking a look and maybe reprinting with larger font. The menu has a good mix of items with and without meat. Everyone in our party enjoyed their meal. I was staying at a hotel so I couldn't take my leftovers unfortunately but next time I'm in town, I know where I'll be stopping! If you find yourself anywhere near Pueblo, CO, call ahead and be ready for an authentic Italian meal. A very authentic Italian gem in the heart of Pueblo downtown. Make sure you call ahead and make a reservation because it gets quite packed on the weekends! In the cooler weather, they do have heaters on the patio so eating outside is still a great option. They were very accommodating and switched out meat to my preference. What a great discovery in Pueblo! Very authentic old school Italian. Ate hear with a big group in town for a conference and everyone loved their food. I had the homemade pappardelle with wild boar ragu- a traditional dish in the Florence/Pisa region that you see very rarely on menus in the US. Delicious! My second trip here, first since the pandemic and lots of things have changed - the tables, the menu. We had a table reserved for an early evening. We got seated quite quickly. For appetizers, we got the mussels and the burrata. For the main course we ordered the cheese and pear ravioli, the wild boar pasta, the home made fettuccini with baby octopus and a tomato based pasta that I can't remember the name of. I got the Moscow mule, they got a red wine and a whisky. The mussels were great. Esp with the sauce. The sauce was delicious with some of the bread from the basket. The burrata was interesting. Quite liked it but would've liked the cheese itself to have a bit more flavor. The pastas were all delicious. The wild boar was the best. My cheese and pear ravioli was very interesting and I actually liked it (surprised because I don't like sweet and the pear did make it sweet). The octopus was decent. The pasta I don't remember the name of, was ok but not the best of them all. For dessert, we ordered the panna cotta and the chocolate mousse to share. The mousse was too chocolate-y for me. The panna cotta was very good - not very sweet and just smooth and soft enough. It is obviously pricey. We'll probably be back for some special occasions. read more

What a wonder gem in the historical area in Pueblo. The menu was amazing as well as the drinks. We had aperol spritz very light and refreshing drink. We started with tagliere misto unbelievably delicious, then had the Stracci di Pollo was a terrific dish that was absolutely fantastic. We sat on the very shaded patio and was very comfortable. Traveling for work and some colleagues recommended La Forchetta for dinner last night. We went and had the most amazing homemade ravioli I've probably ever had. Ravioli Pueblo- mushrooms, rich cream sauce, etc. sorry no pics. But it was so good I went back tonight for round two. It's a small clean restaurant with a cute heated patio out back. The staff is very friendly, and the owners (chef and his wife) work the restaurant. The chef delivers entrees and continuously checks on the guests. And he's straight from Italy. The bruschetta is a delicious variation of what we've all had. No tomatoes, but if you like blue cheese, definitely try. Authentic Italian cooks can make the simplest things delicious, so I tried the Carbonara. Simple recipe with egg, bacon (pancetta?), Parmesan cheese and a little cream over spaghetti. It was rich, mildly salty and perfectly cooked. I was tempted to order another to go... If you're in the area or come down from the Springs, definitely worth a stop. Absolutely delicious. read more
