I stopped by here because i had some bearings off a homemade trailer vintage 1950's. No numbers on the bearings. The staff here took a look at the bearings, and we all guessed at what they were, and sold me 4 of them cheaper than i could get on Amazon. I eventually knocked at the race and it indicated the bearings i was sold were the correct ones. The guy behind was friendly and helpful, from Boron, i'm sorry i don't recall his name, but he provide that small town quality customer service. He didn't have the other bearings in stock. He suggested a bearing place in bakersfield that i would have overlooked, that was amazing. it's the best trailer advice i have ever gotten. read more

Second time at bat.....and they hit it outta the park!!! Purchased new to us coach 4 months ago.....(2013 Winnebago Sightseer Class A) and it came with a bad valve on the water fill/supply station. We are FT'ers, so service is a perpetual problem.... passing thu Bakersfield, we scheduled with DC's for replacing the valve, some rust removal and repainting on the belly of the coach and some parts and water filters we needed... Steve the service manager had us scheduled in and out on a busy Monday ...we delivered the coach at 10 and at 4 pm all work was completed and we were ready to go. The tech who worked on our coach walked me around the coach and reviewed all the repairs that had been completed. Fast, professional repairs and the total bill was for parts and 1.1 hours of labor.......even checked and topped off our tire pressures for us. This is our second visit to DC's and we leave with the work done correctly and a buck or two left in our wallets. We will be back!!! I called and spoke to someone about the auto level on my RV that had failed to operate and lost its hydraulic fluid. The person was extremely friendly and knowledgeable, taking the time to explain what had happened and the process for repairs. I hate leaving bad reviews but here we go. Two weeks ago I called to have my trailer inspected before a camping trip. The guy I talked to in the service department told me he'd have my trailer in and out same day! I was a little shocked that they could turn it around that fast but I thought maybe they were just really good and fast. Made an appointment and dropped off my trailer. After a quick walk around, the same guy told me it would take a week to turn around. Lie. I was irritated but I didn't need my trailer right away so I let it slide. I called a few days later to inquire about changing out my outdoor speakers and was told I'd get a call back in 30 minuets. Three hours later and no call back. This happened about 5 or 6 times. For different things. This guy was either on break or at lunch or busy and they'd take my name and number and nothing. No call back. Ever. I always had to call back. Oh and when I finally got the guy on the phone, the speaker size he told me was wrong. Customer service was just horrible. Finally I called today and spoke with the owner and informed him. He seemed very receptive to my criticism of his employee but nothing happened. No apology from this person. No "how can we make this right" and keep my business. I've already called a different shop in town and they're expecting my trailer Wednesday morning to finish my repairs. Update: the owner Don messaged me here and asked me to call him. I did and like his employee, never called me back. Lowering the rating to 1 Star. Horrible customer service. I can't review their work cause I took my trailer across town to a great repair shop where my trailer is now, getting looked over because I absolutely do not trust DC. I hope they enjoy my $180 for the Safety Inspection. Update #2: Mr. Don Collins called me today after seeing my update earlier. He wanted to meet "face to face". Is that code for wanting to fight me? Unbelievable. I hung up on him. Twice. Save your time and money, go see Frank or Gilbert at Royal Coach. Update #3: Don is still messaging me through Yelp messenger! Check their prices. They quoted me a price of $1040 for an item that has a list price of $805.00. I can buy all day long on the Internet for $649.00. When questioned about this, the sales guy came down to $850.00. I ordered based on the promise the parts would be in next day; not only did the parts not come in, they never called to let me know about a delay. I called to check on the delivery schedule and the guy said he'd check and call me back; he never did. I canceled the order. Cost me two days on getting the part for a lot less money and may have delayed my RV vacation. They lost any chance of me doing business with them in the future. read more

My experiences with Mr. Don Collins, owner and namesake of DC's RV Center, have been far from pleasurable. I called in to DC's RV the week of August 7, 2017 in order to check on service department availability and give some details on what repairs I was interested in getting an estimate for. On Monday, August 14, 2017, I took my older '98 fifth wheel trailer to DC's RV to get an estimate for multiple services, most importantly, flipping the tandem axles in order to gain a few inches in height so the trailer would be level with my 4x4 truck. Don gave me a verbal quote of $440 for the axle flip and $4000 for water tank replacement. I asked Don if I could pay for RV storage at his facility, where many RV's were being stored and there was still plenty of space. Don didn't want me to store the RV there. He told me that I should take the RV home and sell it. I did not have any kind of confrontation with Don or anyone at his shop and I did not know why he did not want to schedule service for my trailer or to do business with me. I took the trailer home and thought about what I wanted to do for a few days. On Friday, August 18, 2017, I called DC's RV and asked them when they could fit me in for an axle flip to raise my trailer. Don scheduled me himself, saying that if I could bring my trailer by on Tuesday, August 22, 2017; he could fit me in and get the work done. I said that sounds great. After giving him my fifth wheel trailer information and my name, Don completely changed his tune. He said, "Oh, are you the one that brought your trailer in before?" I said, "Yes." Then Don said aggressively, "Sorry, we're all full. We don't have space for you." I asked him how he suddenly didn't have space when he had just scheduled an appointment for me moments before. Don said, "I don't want to work on your trailer. I responded, "I can tell that you don't. Why is that?" Don said, "We just don't have space for you here." I said, "Can you please tell me why you don't want to work on my trailer?" Don hung up the phone. I called Don back and I asked him to please explain to me, as a professional, why he doesn't want to work on my trailer. Don's aggressive and hate-filled tone continued. Don said, "Somebody's already worked on your trailer. I don't want to work on it. I consider it a liability." I knew that someone had worked on cosmetic items on the inside of my trailer, but the outside and mechanics of the trailer didn't seem like they had ever been worked on. I asked Don to explain what had been worked on and how it was a liability. I was really very curious. Instead of explaining what alterations had been made to the RV and how this could affect his liability, Don further raised his voice, and condescendingly said, "I just told you that it's been worked on before! Can you not hear me?!" Don then proceeded to call me a freak and threaten to arrest me. Don hung up the phone. I called back. I asked Don again to please explain to me how the state of my trailer would affect his liability and what exterior and mechanical items had been previously worked on. This time, Don said, "Somebody's already flipped the trailer axles. There is nothing I can do for you." I said, "That's that wasn't true, I am not aware of the axles being flipped already." I've got customers waiting for me here and I can't talk to you." Don hung up. When Don looked at my trailer the first time, he examined the axles and my hitch and discussed with me that all he would have to do to give me a few inches of lift is flip the axles. I knew he was correct in saying this because I had previously researched it. Also, because I had previously researched it, I knew that I did not have the capability or desire to do this work myself, I wanted it done right by an RV repair shop who does this work regularly. Don was very unprofessional. Don was biased and harassed me. A business has the right to refuse service in some cases, but his motivations and ethics are questionable. And, apparently, this isn't the first time Don Collins has been lying to or degrading the confidence of his customers. So we had a problem with our anti-sway-bar, apparently it broke on the road. We found this out when we got to the River Run RV Park. As so not to delay we got a new one at the Camping World. We thought, okay problem fixed! When we got ready to leave, hooking up the trailer for or some reason it was not fitting our existing ball so we thought it was our fault in that we bought the wrong thing but we went to the DC RV Center, Don explained that the anti-sway bar had been dropped and that was the reason it did not fit the existing ball. WOW. Apparently some time ago the owners of the RV Park had taken a perfectly good sway bar to them in case someone had a need for it. So Don swapped that one that fit no problem! DC's RV Center Well, where do I start? I brought my trailer in for a hot water heater problem. After several costly repairs, motherboard, gas valve and a bill for approximately $260, they said it was fixed. Well I took it home and guess what, it was not fixed. I took it back, a wire harness was added to my bill and now they said again it was fixed. I left for Idaho and the hot water heater worked for 3 days, and then stopped working again. I came back home and dropped the trailer off again. They looked at it and said it started to work again and it was fine, so I picked it up and guess what - not working again.! Now, I am a very patient man, but I'm really starting to wonder whom do they employ. When I took it back again the Tech came out looked at it and could not give me an answer. He said that he would call Dometic, the maker of the hot water heater and ask them for some advise. I suggested maybe it could be the Thermostat or the Eco valve. I decided to call Dometic myself and after talking to a rep, they informed that the problem could be a bad motherboard. The rep said that they had a bad group of motherboards made from China, so that could be the problem. She told me to have them send it back and that they would send a new one made by a different company. I thanked her and called DC's RV Center. I talked to an employee there and told him to have someone check the motherboard to see if it was from China because that could be the problem. They told me that they would. They called a week later and said that my trailer was fixed again. I picked it up again, came home, fired the hot water heater up and guess what - it worked this time! Well I thought I would check the motherboard and guess what, the board was from China. After telling them what Dometic told me to have them do -they just blew me off. I pretty much had it by then and called them to say I was very upset! Not only that -the idiots didn't even put the rubber foam cover on the ECO and Thermostat. So I had to make a trip back to pick that up! I am so disgusted with DC"C RV Center, they called me back and told me that they would get me the new mother board and I told them that I am not bringing my trailer back there ever again. I called Dometic myself and now I have the correct motherboard coming at no charge. I know I am just 1 review out of many that have a complaint. I made over 6 trips, and never really got my trailer fixed properly. So my advise to you is - do not take your trailer there! This problem should have been fixed with in a week's time. We were staying at a nearby RV park on our way to deliver our trailer to it's new owners, when we tried using the water pump. Nothing. We were scheduled to head out that morning so I took a chance and stopped by DC's and asked if they could take a look at it. Two hours and one new water pump later, we were on our way. Can't say enough about the professional service and willingness to help in a pinch. Plus, the cost was very reasonable and the new pump is better than the original. read more

We chose DC because of a bad experience with another RV company in Bakersfield. what a mistake. We wanted our air conditioner serviced, our slides checked, roof, satalite, etc. needed new windshield wipers and stem extenders on our rear duels. They charged 70.00 for the wipers that were not put on right, they double charged us to,put on a hub cap. The hub cab was not but on correctly, 300 miles later, the hub came off, puled the stems out and had blow out, had to buy 2 new tires in the middle of nowhere. Yes they are friendly but a smile cost us almost 700.00 on the road. I would not recommend this company to anyone. I suggest to any RV'er to find a good mechanic that can do the same work at a much cheaper price. read more

I rarely leave negative reviews, as I am a positive person... But.... WARNING WARNING WARNING. Do NOT take your trailer to their repair shop.. I watched my best friend go through HELL because of what they did with her trailer in the repair area... Charged her over 2,000 to fix brakes, and preventative seal work, and some other repairs... The brakes never worked and they used the wrong seal and it cracked and caused roof damage..... I was at her house when she spoke to the owner, and He told her "pick up your trailer, I am washing my hands of it, there is obviously no pleasing you"..... Go somewhere else. read more
