I never buy much at this DD's but I would say it is very clean and neat inside this store location. It's rare when I come and buy today I purchased a hat. They were fully stocked though and of course amazing deals. Very good customer service though. We needed to use the restroom and they came fast, and the line went fast! I went there today because a parent from my school gave a gift card. I got some blouses and headed to the register. The cashier asked me if I would like to make a donation. I responded that I would donate a d she proceeded to scam my blouses. She gave me my total and I pulled out my 25 dollar gift card to pay. The system was taking long and I told the cashier that the card reader say displaying "authorizing " but she canceled my transaction. She told me to try again. Then the transaction was declined so I called the number on the card. I informed the cashier that she shouldn't have canceled by transaction. Thr customer service representative for the card informed me that my card was declined when she canceled my transaction causing "suspicious activity". Now I have to wait 2 to 3 weeks for them to mail me a new card. Canceled. Cheated and bummed out! read more

I come here all the time. I frequent this location or the Gardena one. They have tons of stuff here. I usually find what I'm looking for but sometimes they just don't carry enough selections on other items. Somewhat organized. The staff here okay. My only hiccup with this store is that the big black lady that cashiers during the day time is nosy af. She asks a lot of questions and says way too much. She's very opinionated and calls out everything I'm buying. It's good to be friendly but she's way too nosy on what I'm buying. She asks way too much. She should keep her opinions to herself. Also, she makes negative comments like she doesn't want to be there or hate her job. Doesn't seem inviting when you're saying that to the customer...just bad vibes. read more

October 2024 | Gardena: After grabbing a bite to eat at a soul food place nearby, she & I stopped by DD's! What a fun store! The cashier was super friendly as well! Holiday-Ready: There were so many Christmas decorations for the holidays all around the store, delicious, scented candles, seasonal linen sprays & hand wash, including cute, fuzzy pillows, as well as cozy throw blankets! You name it, the store has it! Super friendly atmosphere! Pet-Friendly: We saw two cute little dogs while walking around the store and got to play with one of them, who was absolutely adorable! There was also super cute pet clothes in the store! Styled to Perfection: A woman even asked our opinion on what she should wear to an upcoming wedding, which was the next day! We had so much fun helping her decide on an outfit! She was so sweet, as well as grateful! Friendly Customers: While smelling a variety of scented candles, a guy/customer started talking to us & recommended a rose & oud scented candle that smells phenomenal, had to get it, was in a beautiful container as well! While in line, a woman shared cute toys she was purchasing to add to gift bags to an upcoming birthday party for a child! This location has a HUGE toy section! I came here to just check out what this store was because I thought it was similar to a dollar tree or something, but no, it's better. If TJ Maxx and Home Goods merged; it would be DD's Discounts. It has a lot of the same stuff at TJ Maxx, but cheaper. I would definitely suggest this place for toys, snacks, and kitchen supplies. One HUGE bonus.. they don't have long lines like TJ Maxx or Home Goods, they are sufficiently staffed, lines were moving, and wait time was extremely short. I will definitely be returning to check out more of the snack section :) read more

I love shopping at DD's and always get a warm welcome but the ladies' bathroom was ridiculous and the male dressing room attendant knew it. I walked in and back out asked if I could use the men's restroom instead bet the ladies one was horrible and he said yeah he knew. They have a very small selection for various types of items in the store whether they take up only half an aisle or a small portion of the aisle. I wish it was better organized, so I wouldn't have to really down each aisle to try and find what I was looking for in the store. But I do like the prices of the clothing that I ended up getting, which was a black dress and a romper. I fortunately had the exact max amount of clothes you could possibly bring in the dressing room, which is 5, so I didn't have to worry about going back and forth with switching out clothes I needed to try on. I do wish they had a bigger selection of dresses and clearance items though. read more

I went here today to grab some socks and the ones I wanted were missing the majority of the pack. Usually items are marked down when this happens & sold for less. I would have paid full price just to get the 1 pair of socks I wanted. When I approach the cashier I greet her very nicely with a good morning how are you today and go on to ask about the socks. The cashier Ms.Linda, She immediately cuts me off and like no we can't do it it's not marked down and I need to take these from you. I'm like ok but I really would like to purchase them so I'll pay whatever she like no it's a no and the manager already did markdowns for the day it's done in the morning so no. At this point I don't like her attitude you would think she wanted the damn socks for her self the way she wasn't tryna sell the socks so I asked to speak with the manager and she like and I just told you what she about to tell you she's going to say no !! I'm like well I would like for her to tell me that please so she calls the woman and the nice manager lady comes over and says give me a sec to get these marked down for you and that's what I call good customer service. No questions asked no arguing just very helpful. So I wasn't going to leave a review but as the manager was done with the socks she said ok they are ready and I get in line because I've been waiting I stood to be next. Ms Linda rude ass started banging on the the counter calling for the people behind me to come next as if I haven't already been standing there wasting time arguing with her rude ass. Unfortunately, zero star rating was not available to choose. The manager was for lack of a better term "nicety ". She was not helpful, was unwilling to assist me, callous, blunt, and hurried off the phone when I let her know that she personally would be receiving a bad review. I am very dissapointed with the experience. Having a profession that deals with serving consumers requires a particular skill of being personable, and pleasant. Some personality traits are better suited for retail. This manager clearly is NOT. The cashier I originally spoke with wasn't as rude as the manager but clearly the manager's leadership skills (or lack there of is reflected in the staff and the climate of rudeness as well. I hope this review inspires the manager to move on and pursue a career that brings her joy and satisfaction. It isn't fair to the consumers to be subjected to behavior. read more

Eeeek, this place is not what it used to be. I used to rely on this place for nice bed sheets and cool pillows.. But today I realized what a dump it is! One of the managers there too has a horrible attitude. When asking her a simple question be prepared for eye rolling and lip smacking. Went to get store credit for something I'd bought a week ago and spent $23 on (which I know isn't a crazy amount) and I was told that they could only give me back $2 for it. When it was because of their manufacturing error that I had to return it. Definitely won't be returning. Not to mention I had to wait 25 minutes in line just be be "helped" read more

Was really excited when this location opened a couple years back and it was well stocked...Clean outside. If would suggest to the store manager the outside appearance of your store is just as important as the inside...Both lacking however the inside is much more tolerable. Just have some one walk the perimeters and pick up the trash. That is below no one. I certainly did it outside my business just to keep the first impression positive and worked with the businesses next to me and city to maintain a clean and inviting environment. My mother needed to use the restroom after more than 1 hour of browsing for stuff. She went to the lady that is in charge of the fitting rooms and asked her to let her use the restroom and she said they didn't have public restrooms. My mother asked to speak to the manager, after several minutes waiting, the manager came (We don't know her name, all we know is that she is an Asian lady) and she told her the same, even the security (Black lady), very disrespectful in a loud voice told my mother they did not have a public restroom. But the problem was that a lady before my mother came and requested to use the restroom and "they did let her use it", now why they refused to let my mother use the restroom? I could easily say this is discrimination and I think that as customer I need an explanation. If it is true that dd's don't allow their customers who spend time and "money" at their locations to use the restroom, then I am very disappointed to know that they lack to give good customer service.
