The cleanness of this store is a lot better than it used to be they greeted us as we walked in the store, they have a lot of nice home decor , pretty bags but the wallets are 3/10, I remember they used to have more better selections, the cashier that helped me and my mom didn't even say hello my mom asked her a question about her payment selection and she completely ignored her and said NEXT! I came to return some items I purchased due to them being used already. I noticed when I opened the boxes at home. They need to improve in their customer service. I as a customer do not want to hear or know about their work related issues they're having let alone hear about their personal lives. I just came out from making my returns and I'm not content with their service. It's disappointing to see that one of the personal not being professional is the manager. The cashier and the manager having their own conversations while ignoring the fact that they have customers in front of them. One of my go-to places for cheap scrubs, not only are separates cheap (under $10) but this is one of the cheapest places for sets I have found besides driving to DTLA. You do have to look and sort carefully, the staff tries their best in organizing but it just gets picked through and shoppers often put back clothing in the wrong spot. The quality of material in clothing ranges and so does the cut/shape, so just take your time and try on clothes in the dressing room before making your final purchase. read more

I had only been to the DD's in Pico Rivera, so my mom wanted to come to the south gate location to check it out. We came for car mats because they're incredibly cheap here :) we found really cute ones. As I walked in I noticed there was a lot of stuff at this store. Not much missing, which was a good thing. Variety of everything from purses, to shoes, to home stuff, clothes, etc. we were even greeted by the security as we walked out. Nice location, just a few ghetto people. It's like some of your items were purchased by pet owners then returned full of hairs and/or you have pet owning employees who transmit the pet hairs on the clothes. For some strange reason, I haven't seen this at other retailers. This can be very uncomfortable for someone who's allergic to pet dander like myself. I always wash the clothes before I wear them just to be on the safe side. - I think the employees need to be consistent with their friendliness. I always notice they make a habit of greeting you, but ignore you at checkout and rush to get you out of there. Is it just me, or is this policy?? Very strange. I was excited to shop here only because last time I was in this store, it was a Miller's Outpost MANY years ago. Anyways, I really like this location. It is clean, well stocked & a majority of the staff is GREAT! Now, we are missing stars for Customer Service at the registers. I understand you are TRYING to speed through the lines & get Customers on their way but what happened to CUSTOMER SERVICE? Why oh why do these Cashiers call over the next Customer the split second they give me my total? Why in the hell is my job to grab my receipt? It has a lot of good stuff, just not as organized as the one in Pico Rivera. Took my mother to make an exchange, apparently they have a separate line for exchanges... wish the sign was a little more visible. Turns out we were making line in the wrong isle, therefore waited quite a bit for help. Then as the cashier finishes with our transaction so goes to tell us "Don't forget to grab your receipt".... whatever happened to just putting the receipt in the bag or handing it to me? I went to this DD's Discount because they open so early. I don't understand why some employees think they can act at work like they act at home. Two employees were talking, not right next to each other either, one of them was telling the other how F... up that they had scheduled her to work only 2 hours, how if she knew she would have stayed home, she repeated this sentence more than once and not in a quiet tone. She made me feel like I was invisible, how can you talk like that in a place of business especially where customers are around. read more

I love this dd's I always find good stuff they have cute purses and sometimes shoes you just have to come on a good day, They also have a good baby and art section. The only annoying thing is the lines can get long I wish more registers stayed open. read more

Dirty, danky place with awful customer service. Clothes you buy here will rip before you get home..no quality in what you buy as can be expected from cheap prices. Cant bring a water bottle in the place without ghetto security gaurd telling you to throw it away. Securoty guards dont take their eyes off you and thus dont let you shop in peace. read more

This DDs has nice things but I will definitely avoid due to customer service. I was in line still debating on a item no one else was in line behind me. I had not realized the cashier was calling me, so when I did I said "give me a minute" less than 1 minute I was walking up already when the supposedly manager comes over and says "don't get mad at her because she has a job to do" so I tell her I am not mad? To what she says "we have a lot to do" so I give her my item I don't want and try to tell the cashier my intentions were not to offend you to what the cashier responded "you're not the first" and her supposedly manager is still in the background talking about me so I ask her (the manager) to give me corporates number and suddenly she is deaf. And begins speaking over their radio sharing the scenario. And starts speaking about me in 3rd person instead of giving me the # tells the cashier tell her it's on the receipt and when i tell them that # says it's for checks that don't clear only one other cashier comes over to see. I've never had such a horrible experience. I will never again step foot here. read more

Great place to shop. Store could be very messy and dirty at times. They have a security guard walking around but never picks up clothing from the floor or hangers that can cause an accident. Customer service deserves no stars at all. Employees never greet you when your up next in the register, they are not even charging you when they call the next freaking customer, you get no privacy or room to take your time and pay. Lastly you need to grab your own freaking receipt. Why even have cashiers next thing you know your bagging your own merchandise. Another thing I dislike is their return policy why yue hell you get store credit when you paid cash for an item. Makes no sense to me. DDS you need to make some new changes soon. read more

This is my second visit to DD's and my first time at the South Gate store. Nice and big, love that they open at 8:30a. The staff was very friendly, but I didn't like standing there for 10 minutes for a return while workers were standing around. I'm assuming they had a reason (like group huddle) but someone could have said, sorry for the wait or something. Seems like 4 loss prevention people per register open. I know there are thieves and ghetto rachet people around BUT why do you make the rest of us who are not thieves wait in line for 30min-an hour? I really liked this place, my first time coming here and I loved it! You really need to pick stuff out though but for the price its ok, I got a pair of heeled sandals for like 15 bucks, some cute srubbies for 3 dollars, a face lotion that is leaving my skin very soft for 6 dollars, make up carousel for 12 dollars, a bosy shaper for 10 and a cute giant pillow for about 11 dollars, the total was about 78ish but I got so many stuff for under 100 dollars I couldn't check out anymore stuff because I was in a hurry to get home but definately going back read more
