I used to frequent this HomeGoods when I worked closed by. It's combined with TJ Maxx, so smaller store (both TJ Maxx is smaller and HomeGoods). I was very surprised to find a Global Knife at HomeGoods. I have never seen one in any store to date, and I frequent HomeGoods weekly! Great knife and great price. Although they didn't have what I was looking for (a specific Christmas decoration) I was amazed at all Christmas decorations they had on display. They had aisles and aisles and aisles of beautiful Christmas decor. From clothing, to dish towels, rugs, cookie jars, placemats, outdoor decor the list goes on and on; it was truly a Winter Wonderland. The store was fully stocked and very neat and clean. Again, they didn't have what I was looking for but I enjoyed walking around and looking at all of the beautiful merchandise. This is one of my favorite locations and I always have a great experience when coming here. read more

Three days ago I came to this HomeGoods and the line was an hour and a half long. I'm not kidding you the line was an hour and a half long. You guys had four cashiers but you guys have 13 register do you need help hiring a new guy? I can pay for that new guy. Are you that broke HomeGoods/tj maxx. Let me know if you can't afford another cashier cause that's how it seems cause you're acting broke. I saw people walking into the store and walking out because of how big the line was that sounds like you're not maximizing profits to me. The stores stay fully stocked with stuff on display for your grab and go tendencies and this location is no different. Kitchen, bath, bed and to the horizon (I didn't want to say "beyond"), they've got you covered from spices and silverware to pillows and furniture. Neat and clean in a busy kind of way, you'll find good deals throughout with reasonable prices. read more

I have to thank Louisa, she was very helpful when others shy away for trying to do work, which was most of them on the floor. Her and the lady who is in the dressing room, she is sweet. This location is connected with the TJmaxx, in a way its a good idea because i came in looking for a rug and ended up looking at dresses and purses. Overall very spacious place, location is ideal with a lot of parking. Quality of clothes was good and there wasn't anything on the floor. The lines get long. read more

This location refused to give me anything for it. I even said if they can just give me $10 back only half what I paid just cause I want to get back some money! It is so hard to just spend some spare time at HomeGoods without spending a single dime. Sometimes I find some really neat gifts here. "Hey, check these measuring spoons out. Like them? Guess how much they are?" My husband is a damn chatty Cathy when we shop. Gets on my nerves because I just want to look in peace sometimes. Alas, I appreciate his thinking of me and finding sweet deals. For the most part, I like shopping at this location because they refresh their inventory quite often it seems. It's a fairly good size. Free parking. The staff members are typically nice and helpful, but I'll be damned if a male employee was blurting out expletives quite loudly the other day. Look, I cuss like a sailor, but not around children and certainly not in a work environment. Ease up on the foul language ya' Peaky Blinders wannabe. Came her on a Saturday to do a return and the line was even longer than the lines during Christmas and only a handful of cashiers open (3 to be exact!). I don't know who is managing this store but this is absolutely ridiculous!!! The line curves around twice from one set of doors to the other!!! On 11/22 around 8pm I saw 2 black African Americans around 15-20 years leaving the store with 2 big garbage bags full of merchandise all the kids around where scared and there was no security around there was one employee that didn't say thing to them and he was standing in the entrance and I asked why he didn't say a thing and he said he wasn't allowed to tell them anything I think it's ridiculous because it they don't have to pay for stuff why do we. read more

I enjoy coming to this store. There are many fascinating new things to look at. However, the bathroom for women is filthy and unpleasant. It smells extremely terrible. I was introduced to HomeGoods by my sister and have been addicted ever since. My sister told me to never take a cart because you will put everything in it and only intended to get one item. She's right! This particular location is a-ok. Some of the aisles are very disorganized and you could end up breaking something if you are shuffling for something in the back. Some of my favorite things to get are seasonal and baking items. You can find some real steals if you look carefully! I could get lost in here looking at all the goodies. There is plenty of parking which is always a plus. Only bad thing is that there is only one line for both HomeGoods and TJ Maxx which can get pretty long. So pack your patience during the weekend. I simply love this place. It's the closest location to my phone and chance I get to come here I do. The store it's average on organization but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out the department layouts. I love this store because of all the interesting finds that you may see at other stores for a much higher price. The products seem more upscale than your normal Ross and the prices are reasonable. The location to always be well stocked with goodies and needless to say, I never leave empty handed. The fact that they're location in the downey promenade is even better because you can seriously spend a big chunk of the day here eating and shopping. Yesterday I went and the customer service was so polite and friendly. I went to get some last minute Christmas presents and all COVID precautions were followed. They sanitized my cart and the store was precisely empty. I bought a few presents at an affordable price. The cash register Carolina was also very friendly and polite. The people at the door also asked if I would like my merchandise carried to my car, how thoughtful. Kuddos to this Home goods! I'd give them zero stars but format doesn't allow it. Christmas 2020 I was recovering from a severely broken leg, ORIF surgery etc.. I had hoped to quickly get a shopping cart to balance myself. There was a long line. I asked the COVID monitors at the door if I could go ahead since it was a difficult day for me. They said I'd have to speak to the manager. I waited and waited. When the manager finally appeared he said I needed a note from my doctor to cut ahead in line! I made a beeline for Target where I was able to vent with a darling security guard who helped me in every way possible. Needless to say I haven't returned to the Downey Homegoods store and probably NEVER will. read more

I came inn today because We needed a few things for our new home. I like how fast the line was moving and how everything was organized from start to finish. I also liked how every shopping cart was sanitized before handing it to each person. Found a lot of awesome things I needed. Before being rung up every cashier clean and disinfects every register. The cashier that helped us out was She was super friendly and made us laugh. Unfortunately I didn't get her name. (She has curly hair and on the curvy side.) I love Home Goods but had an irritating experience just now. I found a lamp that I loved in the clearance section but it had no price tag. Before I got in line, I found an associate and asked how much it is. She immediately says it's not on clearance. I offered to show her where I got it from but she said to give her a second and walked away. Someone else came over and said it is a clearance lamp. He tried to find something similar and couldn't. He told a third associate it should be $39. The third associate said no, $49 or more. Now they're going back and forth on a price. I asked if they just make up prices or what it's based on. The third associate says this is a nice lamp and takes it in the back to "code it" and presumably make up a price. I left the whole damn thing and the items in my cart. Every other clearance lamp was $39 or $49. read more

I love this store, so much. I always find great things here and many vegan and cruelty free products. The reason i'm giving the shop only three stars is because every time I've been to the restroom, it's a rather frightening experience. I'm one of those people that will go through the whole store and be there for like two hours shopping and, quite a few times I've had to use the restroom. The last few times I made sure I used the restroom somewhere else before hand just to avoid the cringe worthy experience! Lol. I've seen poop and blood smeared on the walls and floor, clogged toilets, toilet paper everywhere. I've seen employees use the restroom and leave without doing anything about it. Often that bathroom has been more disgusting that a porta-potty! Shop there for good deals and often quality products, but if you gotta go to the restroom, HOLD IT! It's not worth the nightmares. Nice mix of goods and some interesting items you can't find anywhere else. So if you're furnishing or remodeling, this is a great place to come. The prices were okay, not spectacular. Tabitha the manager of this store tried to scam me. Today I was paying for all of my items and in the damaged section I saw this beautiful lantern in the corner. I ask if I could see the damage. They put it on top of the counter and I saw the price tag or $29.99. Well tabitha took it to the back and changed the tag to $79.99 and said she would lower the price for $40.00 I was confused since the original price said $29.99 I told her that I saw and she said that the price of the item was always $79.99 I said well I should have honor of the original tag of $29.99 and she didn't was to deduct the price. Its an okay HomeGoods. This one is one of the newer ones that shares a space with TJMaxx. Unfortunately they don't have a regularly rotating furniture selection. This home good is best for its cookware and knic knacs for display around the house. read more
