How would you like it if your new phone looked like this? My phone's screen got a few scratches, and there were noticeable bleed-through images from other screens. I was just at the limit of my one year warranty, so I sent it in and they put in a new screen for free- a manufacturer's factory warranty job. The FedEx guy just returned it, and it looks great. They also sent their best tempered glass screen protector. I figured, "I've got a new screen and a high-quality protector; let's go get a pro to install it." So I called SF Smart Wireless, and explained that I had a new factory screen and a new factory screen protector. Could they install the screen protector for me? "Sure we can." "Okay, I'll be over in a little while." Here's the "Professional" job the guy did for me. He told me, "You can see some bubbles when it's turned off, but they aren't as visible when the phone is turned on." I guarantee you, the bubbles are visible when the phone is turned on! "Some bubbles???" I've got 34 bubbles on my phone screen now, and I've only had it back from the factory for an hour! This is my day off. I've got things to do. The screen on my Samsung Galaxy Note 8 was cracked and stopped working after dropping it on the floor. The same night I requested a quote from SF Smart Wireless for the repair and Feras mentioned he could actually do the fix the same day. This was unexpected given that the Note 8 is not as common as iPhones. Feras kept to his promise and was able to source the parts locally and have the phone ready the same day. The price was a bit more (especially after tax) than other places but Feras used genuine replacement parts and could do the same day repair. Came here for a Moto Z Play screen issue. SF SMART WIRELESS was the last place I quote to fixing my phone screen. It wasn't the best price I got but it was the place I felt more comfortable in doing the service with. Feras showed me the crack on my screen that caused the black screen (no other place did that) and accomplished the time he said it would take to fix it. Very friendly, he also borrowed me a memory card reader because I mentioned to him I was looking for one to buy (it was my first time in his shop!), and I gave it back when I went to pick up my phone. Terrible communication skills. Will never come back. I recommend going to R&R Smart Fix just a couple blocks down. I went to SF smart wireless with my broken phone that wouldn't turn on to get a quote. They said they'd work on the phone and call me back in two hours. They never called me back. That was day 1. I came back the next day (day 2) and I was told my phone was taken out the shop and I couldn't take it home yet. I asked for a price estimate and they wouldn't tell me. I had no choice but to leave my phone another day. Called next day (day 3) and they still wouldn't give me a quote. I told them I have phone insurance and wouldn't like my phone fixed but he insisted no "I fix it." I had told them to give me an estimate because as a student i can't afford an expensive repair and rather have my phone insurance supply me with another phone. Sunday they're not open so another day I had to wait (day 4). I had confirmed that I would be picking up my phone on Monday. (Day 5) When I get there the employee tells me my phone isn't there and directs me to pick it up from else where. Instead of fixing it themselves they gave my phone to another shop with our telling me. So much terrible communication. The shop that had my phone handled everything's so much better. Wish I never came here in the first place. Didn't care about my concerns and wouldn't give me an estimate or even my phone back when I asked for it multiple times. read more

FERAS IS MY HERO!! I guess people give 1 or 5 stars to these places depending on whether their device was saved or not but after reading reviews of tons of places I went with this one because Feras seemed to actually be ethical and competent and gives great customer service. Took my 3.5 year old HTC One to him after the power button got stuck on and the phone was in a boot loop. Showed him the YouTube vid of exactly what my phone was doing and he agreed to replace the power button. I asked if he could replace the battery as well and he said yes for a reasonable price. It took a few days but he replaced both things AND noticed that my charging port was defective so he replaced that too without me even asking - SUCH a relief that charging cables stay in my phone again after 3+ years! Also he saved all my data, especially all the pix of my 20th anniversary trip that I thought would be lost forever. Came in here for a Samsung S6 battery replacement. Feras quoted me $45, which was considerably cheaper than the places near my home at $60 in San Jose and Vallejo. After reading the reviews, I decided to take a shot and visit this location. Best decision ever. Got my battery replaced, and now it doesn't require charging every 6 hours (even if I'm not using it!). It can easily last an entire workday from 8 AM - 4 PM with some small usage. Unfortunately, while fixing the phone the NFC/mobile payment sensor was damaged. Feras did warn me that by fixing it, there is a risk of damage to the screen and other parts, and I was well aware of this risk. BUT, he prior to fixing the phone he did offer a warranty on it saying if it doesn't work, come back and he will fix it---and he held true to his word and was extremely professional. I highly recommend giving this place a try for those with Samsung phones. He also surprised me with a super quick wait time of 10 mins, whereas other places say at least 1-2 hours. read more

I've had the misfortune of having to get my iPhone screen repaired multiple (3) times over the past year or so. Though I've generally had great experiences with each repair, I'd have to say this was my least favorite. They were really fast which was awesome. It look under a half hour to get my screen replaced and I got to wait at the panini shop across the street. They are also the cheapest at $80 and located right in front of a few bus stops so it's not difficult to come down here asap as soon as you shatter your screen. However, as soon as I got my phone back, I could tell that the screen they used was really low quality. The most noticeable thing is probably the color hue. Everything you view on your phone has a greenish-yellow tint. Functionally, the touch sensitivity is really dull and it often takes multiple taps to text now. I also cannot type anything in caps lock anymore since my screen can't handle the double-tap needed on iPhones to set caps lock. Also had a momentary scare because they broke the fingerprint ID on my home button in fixing the screen. It took a few minutes of back and forth and re-assembling of things on their part to get it working again. But ultimately it did! Definitely would have been bad to walk into a repair shop trying to fix one thing only to have another one broken. read more

I broke my iPhone this summer to the point it was unusable and shut off. I freaked out because I never back it up. Fast and best priced, but used 3rd party parts. I came in to get my phone screen repaired in order to do the iPhone 7 trade in with ATT. I reached out to 10 vendors on yelp and Feras quoted me 20-50$ lower than anyone else. I dropped by around 2pm on a Thursday and he had me out the door in 15 minutes. He's is clearly a pro. The only downside was that he used a screen that was thicker than the original apple screen. You can feel the difference when you touch the sides of the phone and it's very noticeable when you put your finger over the home button. I compared it to my friends phone and it also seemed to be heavier. Either way ATT took it with no problems so I'm a happy camper. But if you want to actually repair your phone, I would try bringing in your own parts and having him install it rather than using the 3rd party hardware. read more

My Google Pixel XL survived a couple of falls from the 2 years I've owned it so far but the screen decided not to turn on anymore even if it didn't shatter after it fell from a tabletop to a hardwood floor the other day. Came across SF Smart Wireless on a Yelp search and decided to give them a try. I dropped by the location in person and I was quoted $160 to have the screen replaced on my phone (there was another place that stated $120 but that required me to drive to Fremont or San Jose. Not going to waste my time in traffic when I can just take a quick bus ride to this business). Anyway my phone is back up and running within 2 hour. It's better to spend $160 (plus tax) for a screen replacement on an otherwise pristine phone rather than spend $1K on a brand new phone that I really don't need. Pretty disappointed in how this transaction went. Brought in a Samsung Galaxy s8 with a cracked front screen. Was charged $325 (inc. tax) for the repair. Went I went to pick up the repaired phone, just as I was about to leave with the repaired phone, I noticed that the back screen was now cracked when it wasn't before bringing it in. He wasn't going to say anything to me and I noticed it on my own. He then stated he would now repair the back but needed to order a part. I left the phone with him again and came back about 5 days later to pick it up. His shop is literally around the corner from my office and I was able to walk in without an appointment and was served immediately. I was quoted $140 for the fix and he even popped a nice glass protector on the top, free of charge. The owner, Feras, walked around the corner and DELIVERED my phone to me at my office when the screen needed a few more minutes to set. Unbelievable service. Take your phone here, seriously.
