Please read to understand why they haven't been open in Webster…read more Spoke tonight with Luis, the owner of ROC city empanadas - Santino's. Named after his 2 yr old son. Luis has a business that is well known in Rochester area, his food; as well as all the giving back he does for the Rochester community. I was super excited that Webster was getting one in our Village- (next to Burke's if you're wondering) I've stopped several times to try to catch them open. I assumed they were trying to complete renovations and too busy in Rochester. Tonight I actually called and Luis answered, from home- where he is recovering from a terrible MVA on Five Mile Line Rd. He had pulled over to help another driver that was trying to secure something in her trailer. After they were done- he was struck by a vehicle, exceeding the speed limit, while he was still outside of his vehicle. Luckily the woman he had helped and a man that stopped to help - had medical experience. They had to work fast to try to save his leg, and life. He has been in recovery for five months and humbly feels he has let down the Webster community as he is in a wheelchair and cannot work. A kind act from him, sadly resulted in his life changing forever. Assumptions can be dangerous, we never know what's happening in someone else's home. I felt compelled to write this review as I related well- having been in a near fatal MVA years ago at Plank/Harris. I also had young children. Recovery is hard on the entire family, especially one with a toddler. I hope Luis's wife and family figure out a way to stay open. I can't wait to eat the legendary empanadas, from the reviews others can't either. I wrote this because I was touched by his story, and know many are wondering why they aren't open. As a town let's try to help support this family.

I arrived to the restaurant early, hoping it would be ready. They were closed. A sign hung on their door stating they were "Closed Wednesdays and Sundays until further notice". Nothing on their site indicated this and my order went through with no issue. I was a bit upset. Not only for the inconvenience but also because I was hungry and wanted my burrito! So the next day, I had to be back in Henrietta anyway so I stopped in and asked about the order. They immediately apologized profusely - apparently there was a glitch that allowed several orders to go through. They assured me that I would be refunded. I asked if it would be possible to just give me my order instead of a refund (I was still dreaming of that burrito). They said of course and even offered me a free drink which was not expected (I was happy to pay but they insisted). The burrito came out in less than five minutes and they said they would still refund me - even though I assured them it was not necessary. I wasn't even mad when I came in; I didn't make any scene or demands. I just wanted to ask about my order assuming it was an accident, and give them a chance to see what they could do. They went above and beyond anything I would have expected. They more than made up for any minor inconvenience it caused. Even if they didn't refund me, I would have still felt the same way in how I was treated. So yes, the food is incredible, but it is matched with a masterclass in customer service which feels increasingly rare these days. We're so used to seeing a delicious, juicy burger in an advertisement then receiving a sort of squashed down, sad version of it on a tray... Not here! The burger actually looked delicious... And was! I can say the same for my wife's black bean burger and the fries. Very satisfied. Cost was a little high by comparison to other better quality fast food joints but other than that a great find.
