This place is located in a strip mall area by Time's Waipahu across of Festival Market. I was greeted by my massage therapist, Lulu, who happened to be hanging out near the entrance when I arrived. I told her why I needed a massage and asked her to specifically work in my upper trap area. The room is not your "glamorous spa" type of room, yet it gave peaceful vibes with the large massage table and sheets. Lulu's pressure was firm and you could tell she was using her entire body to provide me the pressure I asked for. She demonstrated amazing soft tissue massage techniques throughout and even gently mobilized some of my joints. To be quite honest, it was hard for me to relax here, but I came here for a therapeutic massage that can target the tight areas of my body not for a "relaxing spa day." Lulu continuously asked me throughout the session if her pressure was too hard or if I was in pain and made adjustments as needed. My massage also included hot stones, which I was not expecting but I was not opposed to. The service and friendliness of this establishment cannot be beat, especially when factoring in the reasonable price for an hour. Booking is extremely easy via their website. I'll be honest, I didn't walk out feeling refreshed -- I left sore because we discovered so many knots in my back. But that's not a bad thing at all; it showed me just how much I needed this session. Today I was quite stressed and knew my body needed a massage, unfortunately Maya doesn't typically work on Sundays, so today I had Lisa and she is wonderful, I think my new favorite. Not only can she do a proper Thai massage with techniques of using the sole of her foot to work out tightness in your shoulders (and very good stretching techniques), but she's also great at giving a normal and relaxing massage.
