The person who did me was rude and had no self respect. Most of the time I had no towel covering me while getting the massage leaving me in just my underwear. When I asked for a head massage she told me she didn't understand English then proceeded to tell me "oh my gosh. You're a first timer." Very unprofessional. Took them 20 min to come massage me because they were busy even thought I called in advance and they said they had an available therapist to massage me. Then they asked me where to massage and I told them lower back. She started playing music with ads that came on to what felt like every other minute and told me to wait so she can skip the ad. The therapist then started massaging my back with her bare feet. She then started standing on my spine and I told her please don't stand on my spine. She replied very rudely with an "okay". Shortly after that she left and said she would grab someone else to massage me with a very demeaning tone. I was already fed up and I told the next person that I was just gonna go and the lady replied "oh yeah you can go I've been working 13 years and nobody complain before". She then followed up with "I'm the owner I don't care about you". Inseatd of trying to fix a problem she escalated it. I was just honest when she started standing on my spine where my back was already sore. Complete waste of my time and the absolute worst experience Ive ever had. To talk down to a customer who is being honest is very disrespectful and unprofessional especially coming from the owner. so I will advise everyone to stay away from such a crooked establishment. Her name was Kim- Fabulous!! A few words of advice -- if the business name says - Thai massage - that must be what they specialize in - so get a Thai massage --- !!! My body feels like jello and the odds of me passing out in the car while waiting for my puppy after writing this is review is 99.9%.... I'm not sure who my therapist was, but she was terrible. She was burping in the first two minutes of the massage. I was shocked, but that was t even the worst part of the 90 minutes. The rest of the massage with the oil was sloppy. Some parts felt nice, but the other 70% just felt like she was disbursing the oil all over. She didn't really get in there and do much of a massage. Things she would do to one side she wouldn't do to the other, which I thought was weird. What really bothered me was midway through the massage she started texting. Her phone wasn't even on silent. This is not my normal place to get a massage, it was a last minute appointment because my husband really wanted a massage today so I got to tag along. This place is awesome! when I first moved to Hawaii in 2015 I did not know where to go to get a massage and I was used to getting a lot in New York because I have really bad back pain so when I came across this place which was right near out where I was living at the time I decided to give it a try because I have always had deep tissue massage but here they do both Thai and deep tissue . I've been going here ever since. so this review is long overdue. All the massage therapists there are great I always leave feeling 100 times better! I usually have very bad pain in my neck and my lower back due to doing a lot of sports in the past and from stress. Even though I stretch every day I always feel like this is the best stretch of my life when I leave. If you want to feel really relaxed and not in pain anymore I would highly recommend this place ! I've been getting massages for about 25 years now and LaLa gave me one of the best massages I've ever had. I constantly battle knots and stiffness in my upper back, shoulder and neck area due to MVA's and prior military service and the relief she was able to provide was nothing short of spectacular. Masseuse: 1/5 I was seen by Nina. She was neither friendly nor unfriendly when I walked in. During the massage, she was clearly unfocused because she had a tv show playing on her phone the whole time. In addition, she cut the massage off after somewhere around 40 minutes when I was paying for an hour. Massage itself: 2/5 During the massage, she wasn't at all precise with her movements and didn't massage both halves of my body equally. Her movements were consistently inconsistent and a far cry from the massages I've had before. A few times it felt unpleasant (ex. elbow on my actual spine). The only reason I'm giving it 2/5 is because it wasn't unbearable, and (regrettably) was not the worst massage I've ever had. Overall: 1/5 I just paid the rate for the hour and didn't bother tipping - I figured it was already included considering the short length of the massage (just trying to justify to myself why I even paid the full amount, haha). Also, like other people said, the door was locked when I first arrived and I had to call to have it unlocked. I really wanted to give this place another chance so my boyfriend and I called in beforehand to specifically request for a deep tissue massage for two; which they stated that they could accommodate. He had the older lady and I had a younger one, the girl I had stated she didn't know how to do deep tissue. The massage, or lack thereof, that my boyfriend received was merely just a rub. The parking here can be a little hard but not too hard just deal with it. This place is really clean and the temperature of this place is just right. Not too hot but not too cold. The ladies were really nice. I liked them. All the sheets are changed after every person. The massage table was really comfortable to lay on. The also have a fan facing towards the table. The first thing she asked both me and my gf was how hard we wanted our massage. Hopefully this is intuitive for you. I automatically knew I didn't want a really hard massage because I knew I had a lot of knots. But I didn't want it too light to wear it was just a relaxation. Medium was good for me and I'm usually doing Muay Thai and lots of physical activities. The room was dim so it doesn't give you a headache and you can relax enough to close your eyes. There was a lot of trust so she was able to do her thing. The massage was very relaxing and she got everything even my facial muscles. I received a Thai massage from Kim. She was very average and it felt like she rushed through each spot. So I was disappointed in the quality and the sheets felt very thin, old which conveyed a dirty not quite clean feeling. When I called back to find out if someone else does Thai I was told everyone there does. So I made an appointment with Da and when she was not doing Thai as I had requested I inquired why and she said she can not do it there. She then walked out and refused to do the massage. The phone person came in and tried to justify what she told me. I did not go there to have a fight so I left as Da was not coming back to discuss what she can do. Worst experience ever- and I have been to a variety of places that offer massage (not just fancy schmancy types). Pro: - I called on a Saturday morning and they were able to see me and my significant other in the afternoon. - When we arrived, the therapists (if you can call them that) were present and they started on time. - $60 for 60 minute massage is a decent deal. - Parking is easy. And it's near Tea Time. Con: - This place looks sketchy and reminds me of happy ending massage parlors. I don't think that's what they do here because their walls are so thin you can hear everything that goes on next door. - When we entered the place, the front desk (aka our therapists) were eating french fries. We were about 5-10 minutes early, and it was as if we were interrupting their lunch. - My overall experience was TERRIBLE. After I had already undressed and was ready for my 1-hour massage, my therapist told me that she had another person scheduled in 30 minutes so someone else would finish my massage. I was not pleased with that because she didn't inform me before I got undressed. Since I was already naked and I really wanted a massage, I gave it a shot. During the massage, she proceeded to stop the massage and answer her cell phone (apparently her next customer had arrived). She rushed through the service and left me in the room to wait and wait and wait. Finally, another therapist came in, but she wasn't sure if she was supposed to see me. It was very confusing and not relaxing. Thank goodness the second therapist (Anna) was decent and pleasant, even though she used tiger balm on me which was a bit unconventional. Overall: I would never ever come back again. I gave it a chance because I wanted to support local businesses run by women, but what a disappointment. Terrible management and not professional at all! We have come here 4 times. The first 2 were great! Timely service and great massages. The third time there was a screw up with our reservations - apparently which ever lady took the reservation didn't communicate to who was doing the massages or something like that, and we waited 20 minutes past our appointment time. No offer for a discount or anything to compensate for their mistake and wasting our time. Fourth time - today - we arrived 2 or 3 minutes early and the door was locked - the sign said open. We waited and about 5 minutes after our appointment time, a lady came out from the back and opened the door. We went in and once again our appointment was screwed up. Or no one looked at the damn schedule until we were there, because our appointment was there "oh your name ... No one told me." I guess the appointment book is a decoration. Went to get a massage during working hours, door was locked but the open sign was on the door..knocked to see if anyone was in there and nothing. No problem right! Went to grab a bite to eat and called back to see if they were open... asked if we could make an appointment, Lady said to go in and they would take us in...show up 10 minutes later and lady says there's no one there to do the massage.... obviously they don't know what the hell they are doing.
