Wine was delicious and customer service from Trevor was amazing. We love small wineries and this did not disappoint!

This is probably the worst wineries. The owner is rude and arrogant. Please don't waste your time there are much better wineries around.

There was plenty of parking right in front, and the views of the building and vineyard were absolutely beautiful. We were greeted warmly by the hostess when we arrived, and when we requested a table in the shade, she gladly accommodated us. The service throughout lunch was excellent. My wife has a tree nut allergy, and our waitress made sure to inform the kitchen so my wife could safely enjoy her meal without worry, which we really appreciated. We ordered two pizzas and two charcuterie boards. Unfortunately, the charcuterie boards were very overpriced for what was included: each board only had 8 thin slices of salami, 8 thin slices of capicola, a small bowl of olives, and a few small pieces of cheese. Two boards came to roughly $70 before tax, which definitely did not feel worth the price. The prosciutto and arugula pizza was also VERY dry, and surprisingly they didn't even have balsamic glaze or balsamic vinegar available for it. Another waitress brought over some olive oil, but then charged us $3 for it, which honestly didn't sit right considering we explained how dry the pizza was. The location, atmosphere, and service were wonderful, but the food quality and pricing left a lot to be desired. We usually just come here for wine, but we won't be returning.

The place is very quiet and comfortable with plenty of seating areas inside and out. Outside they have a large reflecting pool with seats all around which is a very nice touch. The seating areas have a very nice display of pictures of Wayne in his Hockey days and a lot of old family photos as well. We did a tasting that included several of their liquors. We tried the red and white Ice Wines, Whiskey and Creams. Let me start off by saying I do not like wine at all.... However the Ice Wines were absolutely incredible! The maple flavored Whiskeys were awesome and rich with flavor while being very smooth to sip. I tried the Butter Pecan Cream (kind of like Baileys) which was a favorite as well. The prices are very reasonable especially with the exchange rate. They have gift shops where wines, whiskey, creams can all be purchased. They also have shirts and other items. I personally loved the hockey stick shot flight. The shot glasses were skates that fit into a miniature hockey stick. They also have a restaurant where I had the best poutine I have ever eaten! I also had the smoked trout sandwich which was delicious. The Caesar salad with kale and capers was awesome! The flavor of the food, the freshness and presentation was second to none. The employees were extremely friendly, helpful and genuinely friendly when you have questions. Wayne Gretzky Estates Winery and Distillery was by far one of the highlights for my trip. This place is worth the visit again. The only down side is they do not ship to the States, so you have to get it in Canada.

My wife got a completely salted Carmel espresso martini that was made by accident. Everyone there was so nice. The food was good, and the drinks hit the mark. We arrived and were greeted nicely and sat by a window with beautiful views. Brian took care of us in a big way, Elbe was super informative and fun. The wines were from good to aceptable, the sparkling Blanc the Blanc one of our favorite and the Merlot was pretty good too. My least favorite was the Gamay Noir. The Riesling was not bad but unexpressive... At the very end we got to tried the 2020 Chateau des Charmes EQUULEUS which I like, it's more of a dry and complex wine but not an easy drink so it might not be for everyone. The ICE-wines were very good, I guess this is what they are really know for. At least that what this region is able to do well. Concluding, service by Brian top notch, sparkling wines good, other wines aceptable and the ice wines very good.

There…read moreare only about a dozen parking spots at the Visitor's Centre, and I think it fills up quickly as it's a small-ish lot. Had to repark after a spot became available. They have 2 Wine Tasting options available, $25/4x1oz (includes higher-end wines), $20/4x1oz (smaller selection, but still quite a far amt). I think beer flights were $15/4x2oz. From speaking with her, I don't think the girl who helped me with my selection knew a great deal about wines. She said that she hasn't tasted all of them, but then again, there are A LOT from the both menus. I'm assuming that most of the people working here are students. The back patio is nice with the Escarpment in the horizon and vineyard in the foreground. I think you can also order apps that are cooked in the trailer outside. At 1oz each, I honestly think this isn't enough to get a good idea of the wine. It is literally 2 small sips! Other wineries that I've been to usually offer 4x2oz pours at the same price, and this amount is MUCH better in terms of getting a proper taste. Since it was such a small amount, it was hard to get a good gauge of the wines. The Muscat was nice though and I bought a bottle. Instead of doing the beer flight, I just cans to go as it seemed more economical. Bar area where those tasting were happening was a bit cramped! There was someone sitting at the bar already, another guy standing doing a tasting, and I felt a bit weird intruding on their space to ask the bartender about the beers. Fridges were on both sides of the bar, so not concentrated in 1 area. Beers/ciders area looking like a bit of an afterthought.

Not a great experience with their service and mediocre food. We arrived at 7:30pm for our reservation on a Tuesday evening and were seated right away. There's a 3 course for $80, or 2 course for $75. We ordered two 2 courses and two 3 courses between our table of 4, and one lager. Appetizers came at 8:20pm. The waiter told us right before the appetizers were served that there was a group of 20ppl right ahead of us, hence the slow service. The main hall was full of the 20ppl group, but our dining section had 3 tables, including ours - so it doesn't seem that busy as it was mostly empty. He did not check in with us during this 50min wait time between sitting down and appies arriving, nor did he bring the lager, or give us a heads up about the wait any earlier. Not off to a great start. APPETIZER: Pate shortbread cookie: I quite liked this one, the sweet buttery shortbread crunch, with a salty creamy pate filling and a dab of jam on top. There's prosciutto and greens on the side. This dish was the definition of sweet and savoury. My friend got the cold soup and loved it. MAIN: Arrancini: mix of mushrooms and veggies, rice, deep fried in a ball shape. THIS WAS HORRIBLE. There wasn't much flavour to the arancini themselves, nor in the sauce. There was some sort of marinated mushroom, and that was good but the Arancini was so stale, similar to how a food court pre-deep fries their items and leaves it in a hot tray. They were not crispy at all, and had a hard chewy exterior. -I asked the waiter if the arancini was supposed to be crispy, he said yes, they are deep fried so it's supposed to be crispy. -I said it tastes quite hard and chewy instead, not crispy. -He said something along the lines of "Is there something you'd like me to do about it?" -I was very disappointed but didn't want to cause a scene so I said no. I couldn't finish it. Overall, super underwhelming restaurant for the price point. (P.S. the winery part is great though, I'd recommend the tasting and grab a few bottles, but I do NOT recommend the restaurant)
