Brentley came out to help with rodent stuck in wall. Talked to a couple of other companies who just want to do their standard procedure, and push for insulation replacement. Brentley showed sincerity and listened to our needs. He is very experienced, communicate well his thoughts. He took effort crawling in the attic to check out the relevant section. Desperate we were as a powerful, horrendous, putrid & sickening odor (like nothing we'd ever experienced) enveloped our home some four days-ago. Within 1 & 1/2 hours of calling Humane, Brentley was in our home giving it a thorough inspection. An hour later, he found the decaying skunk, removed it, then brick-and-mortered-shut its entryway in our house foundation. I could not be more disappointed. We paid to have Brently come set a raccoon trap in our small backyard in SF. We have had many problems with raccoons: nesting in the walls of our neighbors home, tearing up the exterior of our home, destroying fencing, and destroying plants in the yard. After a year, the trap finally caught a raccoon. I was thrilled and called Brently to come get it. He came (4 hours later) and released the raccoon directly into our yard. For reference, our yard is fenced in and 25 ft x 25 ft. He did not remove the raccoon from our property, he would not consider taking it anywhere else or exterminating it. No, he released the raccoon directly into our tiny yard. He said the raccoon would leave and not come back and that it would tell the other raccoons to stay away. (?!?!?!) His reasoning was that he "had not planned on working today" and that he wasn't in the right vehicle. Also, he took the trap away. So in the end we paid hundreds of dollars to 1) have an unsightly trap sit in our yard for over a year, 2) spend 4+ hours on a Saturday waiting on Brently to come because he would not specify a time, and 3) watch him release a raccoon that has been tearing up our home directly into our yard. I wish I could give negative stars. Please do not use Critters Humane Animal Control. read more

Brently was amazing! I appreciate his humbleness and educating me on how raccoons operate. We had a momma with babies nest inside the bottom of a tall pillar by our front porch. Brently needed to cut a section of the pillar out to get the babies out. Momma, just like he said, came out a bit later and over a period of a few hours took the babies, one by one, to wherever she found a new nest. Brently explained that the mom would be shook up enough where it would not want to stay in the area. I could totally gage that it moved far from the house like Brently said because of the timing it took to come back for each one. This after it checked one time to determine that it could not get back into our pillar, which Brently sealed off, top and bottom. Each time the neighbor's dog barked, I saw the momma carrying off another baby. There were 5 total. By late evening , the baby box was empty. It was like watching a nature channel! Fascinating! Ive since seen other exterminator youtube videos that use similar plan. This method moves the animals on their own and did not have to involve killing them. We have lots of wildlife near us so Brently is now considered our hero moving forward. read more

Our critter control guy was Brently from Critters Humane Animal Control. We had days of nightmare fighting raccoons for 2 months. We were hearing crawling and scratch noises in between our walls and went crazy thinking what might be in between the walls. Apparently, a family of raccoons found their way up into our 3rd-floor crawl space. And this they achieved by digging under the stair's lattice in the ground floor, and then through the foundation of the house to the 3rd. We were shocked to find out that these creatures can climb 3 floors up a building thought thin walls. Pretty aggressive!! Our critter control guy (from Critters Humane Animal Control - found through Yelp) came every week to lay traps and every time he caught a new raccoon. Finally, he ended up catching a whole family of 5 raccoons in total, one after another! To permanently fix the problem, later he poured concrete to close the openings around the stair lattice. It turned out a pretty expensive affair catching 5 raccoons, but now we are finally having peaceful sleep (fingers crossed). Note, Brently is a man of few words, but he is very disciplined and does a good job. read more

Updated Review: Brently came out and he did another look at the house and mentioned that there might be birds nesting in the eves of the house. Considering that it was a minor annoyance and there isn't any other way the birds can get into the house, I considered not sealing it off. Original Review: I scheduled with them and a guy came and removed some old chicken wire and installed a trap. Never did find out if there was anything caught. The guy never told me he was going to come and remove it. I found out as I was working at home and saw his truck and some loud noises outside my house. It scared the bejeebus out of me. After $130+ with trap and new chicken wire, I still hear noises on top of my roof. read more

We recently discovered we had a rat problem in the crawlspace under our house. I called Brentley and set up an appointment. I was told that he would come by for an assessment and would set traps, if needed. This appointment would be followed by other appointments every few days to monitor the traps and help with clean-up, etc. Brentley did come by to tell us we had rats and to set traps. He accepted payment in cash (our bad for giving it to him before the job was finished) and then disappeared. He did not call and did not return our calls about follow-up appointments. We were left with dead rats in traps. I would NEVER recommend using Brentley to anyone. read more

I then decided to try critters and they answered the phone. I thought I would have to make an appointment for them to come out maybe a day or so later, but after receiving my quote, Bentley told me he could make it in about 30 mins. I was in shock!!!!!
