I was very pleased with Pets RIP. I called them when our pet fish of 20 years died. We had no idea what to do with him, but after 20 years we wanted to do something special. I called Pets RIP early morning to see if they would be willing to cremate our fish and staff was very friendly and understanding. Andre arrived to pick him up just a few hours later. He was very friendly and empathetic. My family and I were left at ease that our pet would be taken care of. We then received our pet in a very beautiful hand crafted wooden box with our pets name on it. I am very happy with their service and 100 percent recommend them. Thank you Pets RIP for a wonderful service.

In my heaven awaits a lil dog named Tim!

Highly recommend this place for anyone that goes through a hard time with losing their beloved pets. Great customer service with giving nothing but the best advice and mentioning about keeping all the great memories we have with them while they were here, and to always cherish those moments. My furbaby has now crossed the bridge and is no longer in pain... They were able to come pick up my fur baby when he had passed away at home. The company also delivered the ashes to me when the whole process was done. Thank you guys so much for you're amazing service and for doing what you guys do through the pain. Truly appreciate it. Thanks once again...

I can't thank them enough. Experiencing loss the way I did with my Paul broke my heart. It was some time I was able to get someone to transport his body. I don't want to get into detail but this company came through and was very communicative (all while I was at work) Paul is now back home. No amount of words cannot describe how much I appreciate and thank you.

It was really important to us to be able to bring him ourselves and have that sense of control. I had also heard too many stories of larger operations misplacing pets or losing ashes during transport, which felt unimaginable. Some of the places we spoke to also felt very transactional. It didn't feel like they were meeting us in what was a very real, emotional moment. Restful Pets was completely different from the first call. They were genuinely compassionate. Being local made everything easier, and their turnaround was much faster than what we were quoted elsewhere. It's definitely no-frills, with no big packages or upsells, but that ended up being exactly what we needed. What mattered most was knowing he was close and that we were in control of the process, with someone who treated us with care. That made all the difference.

They were so kind, as we said goodbye to our tiny boy that we had bottle fed and raised from birth. The in house diagnostics are great. We didn't have to wait long at all for the test results. The 2nd time, we brought in our elderly girl. She was 16. When her vet turned us away when we came to tell them we were coming in (they told us "maybe tomorrow"), we headed here. She'd been sick a while, we knew it was coming. Of course, that didn't make it any easier. The staff here was absolutely wonderful. As soon as we walked in, they took us out of the lobby so we wouldn't have to sit with all the happy/healthy animals. They didn't question us, they saw her and told us we were making the right choice. They brought her a soft cat bed to lay in. They gave us all the time we needed to hold her and love her, until we were ready. No pressure. Then they allowed my 16 year old daughter to hold her beloved girl until she was gone. We were allowed more time with her. Then they gave us each a vile of her beautiful fur. We weren't rushed. We did everything on our terms/time. And our girl left this world surrounded in love. I would 100% recommend PETS Referral Center. I hope we never have to go back. But, we would of we had too.

My issue is with Dr.Kim Shaffer in Oncology at their specialty building. I was referred by my cat's doctor. As soon as she walked in the room I noticed that her demeanor seemed like she was irritated. Right off the bat She would barely let me get a word in trying to explain my Cat's complex situation before continually cutting me off. She even scolded me saying I needed to stop living in the past while I was trying to explain a timeline of how my cat's health had progressed to where we're at now. When I would ask about things to try and help my cat I was met with such hostility. I asked about cancer medication, she said none of them work. She told me there was nothing that could be done even though we don't have a definitive diagnosis that this is Cancer. I asked about palliative care as my cat's vet suggested she should be on reassuring me that Dr Shaffer would surely do that for us even sending over notes to Dr.Shaffer reiterating that. Well Dr Shaffer said she wasn't going to do any of that but would maybe only give her pain meds for me to take home to give by mouth when I told her it was hard to give by mouth since that's where the tumor is she acted like it wasn't her problem. I asked if she could give her an injection for pain instead which she's had in the past and she said No that wouldn't work, and that I should probably then euthanize my cat. I said she's still running around playing and eating and she snapped at me and said she's not eating! She's lost weight so she's not eating, insinuating that I'm lying to her. Everytime I turned around I was met with resistance in such a disrespectful manner and tone so I finally said to her why are you speaking to me so rudely i'm just just trying to help my cat by asking questions and why do you have such a lack of bedside manner towards me right now? I told her I was shocked by her behavior. what had I done to her to make her have this attitude towards me the minute she walked in the room and she said you just don't want to accept what I have to say which was not the case at all, I know that we're in a dire situation. It was her lack of Empathy and unwillingness to even give an inch to help my pet in any capacity while also being combative towards me, that was the problem. As a last effort I asked if we could at least run some bloodwork while we're there so I could get an idea of what my cats numbers looked like so I could make more informed decisions and she again said No! Bloodwork won't show anything. At that point I was so frustrated and I said this has been a complete waste of time and your refusal to help us with anything is unbelievable to me and then she said we're done here and I said yes we are and I said why would you waste our time if you're not even willing to do the bare minimum to help us navigate this. She then said I'm not going to take this verbal abuse and told me to leave the building! I've never been kicked out of anywhere in my 55 years on this earth. I said I'm just trying to be an advocate for my cat and I'm trying to understand why I'm being met with such hostility every step of the way and she then said I'm not giving your cat any pain medication now you'll have to go find it somewhere else. I mean, that is so INHUMANE to take it out on a helpless animal who's been waiting for this appointment for so long and not to mention UNETHICAL!!!! if you knew you weren't going to help us at all with even palliative care, then why would you even have us come in? She had all of our records weeks ahead of time to call us and let us know that. I had to sedate my cat and withhold food for 10 hours for nothing. I am still in shock over all of this as I'm sitting here watching my cat in pain. I've never had a doctor treat me like this and then act as if I'm the problem. I guess expressing discontent about the way someone is treating you constitutes as verbal abuse to her? So now my cat is still suffering and we have to try and find another Oncologist which is going to take so long. I'm just so disheartened. I've seen another oncologist here two years ago for one of our other cats that was given two months to live, and that Doctor was so helpful at making him as comfortable as possible giving us pain meds, anti-inflammatories, appetite stimulants, steroids, breathing treatments you name it and my cat actually lived another six months! That kind of caring made all the difference in the world. Unfortunately that doctor no longer works here. To treat someone the way this Doctor has treated me and to withhold treatment from my cat when we're at our lowest point right now with trying to navigate this difficult time is incomprehensible and completely Unacceptable.

Their prices are extremely high, to the point where I'm not sure I would return unless it was an emergency. The second clinic had a very different approach and offered several other treatment options that were much more reasonable. When I explained what the first clinic had recommended, I was told that unfortunately, some clinics can become more focused on how much revenue is being brought into the business rather than exploring all of the available options for the pet. I really liked the staff here and appreciated how friendly and knowledgeable they were. I just wish the pricing and treatment recommendations felt more focused on providing pet owners with different options instead of immediately going toward the most expensive approach.

They even had one of the doctors fix his teeth. They took really good care of him during that procedure. About 2 years ago the team started becoming real sticklers about the heart worm medication I gave him every month. It was a nuisance but I figured it was a safety precaution as they explained to me. Then when my fiancé moved in with his 2 pit mixes it became pretty ridiculous. This vet office had policies that are incredibly strict around prescribing heart worm medication. And with 2 medium sized dogs and a little, the price of these meds is WILD. I know this inflexibility around policy is not typical since I've asked folks about their vet experiences and found that some vets will have you sign paperwork that says you understand the risk of not getting them tested every year in order to ensure the dog can stay on the flea tick heart worm meds. This strictness was also very different than my experience at Redwood Vet Hospital in Vallejo. I give my dogs their heart worm medicine every single month without exception. I never miss a dose. This vet office isn't really willing to work with dog owners and seems more loyal to their policies & money than trying to mitigate health risks & disease in dogs. They don't believe their customers who tell them that we don't miss a dose. They don't care if you understand the risks they're describing for a possible missed dose. They will proceed to talk to you like your dumb. I've experienced both Dr. Kafka & Dr. Brandwajn talking down to either me or my partner (over the phone) about how we care for our dogs. I used to work at a dog daycare and I understand that many, many owners don't really know how to properly care for their dogs. I feel for vets and what they have to see and deal with. But the way business is conducted in this office is not the way to make it better. I haven't seen Heather in the office for a while, I'm not sure if she still works there but she was one of the office staff who didn't treat me like I didn't know what I was doing and even leveled with me and said that if money was an issue I can get my 3 dogs vaccinated at the monthly SPCA clinic. She seemed to understand that the safety of the dog should be the priority, but when we took our dogs back for their next checkup at A4P after taking them to the vaccine clinic we were treated as if we were lying about them having been vaccinated. The amount of hoops we have to jump through just to get our dogs access to flea tick & heart worm meds feels like a scam. We've brought our dogs in just for a simple heart worm test or cytopoint shot and been quoted $1000+ for a wild amount of additional tests they wanted to tack on. I do not feel like this vet is trustworthy or has my dogs best interests in mind. Our experience at the last two visits has finally convinced us to change vets. Which is sad because I really wanted to support this local business that isn't owned by private equity. Please enjoy pics of the goodest dogs in the world

Dr. Bane's exam (March 2021) was comprehensive and well-beyond helpful. She noted that he had an undescended testicle (totally missed by the staff at a local corporately owned vet hospital, and by me), and spent lots of time offering much needed guidance about his diet -- including offering me a basic recipe that greatly improved upon his home-cooked meals and analyzing what vitamins and minerals should be added to make them optimal. Since I also feed him Carna4 kibble, she went over those ingredients thoroughly as well. As is common with doodles, my pup has a somewhat sensitive gut and itchy skin. When Animal Biome sent a detailed report on his microbiome, Dr. Bane spent half an hour of her own time (no charge to me) consulting with their microbiologist, and then spent lots of time (at a very reasonable cost) going over their report with me and making recommendations. She's been wonderfully accessible and thoughtful whenever I've needed guidance -- most recently about a minimally invasive approach to his cryptorchid neutering and gastropexy, and in a short time I've come to trust her completely. I'm very thankful we found our way to All Paws and especially to Dr. Bane!

Dr. Bane helped greatly by discussing, and literally writing down a change in diet that helped my girl tremendously with her quality of life. Bellah would literally fall asleep while Amy worked on her. Margaret Holiday gave Bellah the gift of mobile ease and was incredibly helpful in so many ways. I cannot write sufficient praise for these women who help animals, and the dog I loved. Thank you.
