3 days ago New I have bought hundreds of parts from automotive mail order parts for over 30 years. That includes for my 2005 Jeep Wrangler that l bought new 21 years ago. Unfortunately, parts are getting more and more difficult to find. Recently a mechanic broke the plastic cover that goes over my wiring harness, leaving it exposed. I was reimbursed for the cost of a new cover and when I went to purchase another one, I was shocked to find out that it's almost impossible to find one used, never mind new. I found the part on Dead Jeep's website. Keep in mind there is another Dead Jeep located in Massachusetts that advertises on E-Bay. Unfortunately l didn't use them. I ordered directly from the Dead Jeep in Rhode Island off their website. Thank goodness l used a credit card to pay for it. They got paid immediately and l got an email that was poorly worded and had several spelling errors saying that l would have to wait 7-10 business days for the part to be "humanely extracted." . I was annoyed because the website gave the impression that the part was in stock and ready to be shipped. It wasn't..far from it. I didn't hear anything for over a week and emailed inquiring when my part would ship. No answer. So l called and got a clueless, scatter brained individual who couldn't give me a straight answer about anything except to say that his boss has been in business since the '80s and he couldn't say when l would get the part! Finally he told me he would get an update and get back to me. I never heard back so I wound up calling, left a few messages and sent yet another email. Called again the next day and got Scatter Brain who started blathering on about searching in the junkyard for my part and all he had were broken ones...blah blah blah. When l questioned him about whether he even had the part and if not, why was it on the website and why was l charged for it he couldn't even answer. By now I was thoroughly convinced that this part didn't exist in "Dead Jeep's" inventory and they had taken my money for what is essentially a "ghost part." That's when Lisa got on the phone and swore that her boss had or would get the part shipped by the end of the week and she would "make me a priority and keep in contact with me every step of the way." She did neither. Instead I got a barely legible text saying something about her boss not shipping it and she would be in touch. When l asked if they even had the part l got no answer. I called again 2 days later. No answer. I emailed and texted. No answer. l finally got a text on the day the part was supposed to be shipped and told that she was having "a day" (whatever THAT means! ) and if it didn't go out that day I would get a refund. I NEVER got an answer as to whether or not they actually had the part! Finally after I left half a dozen calls made and messages l got a text from someone named Lauren saying "Ray was unable to fulfill the order" and l would be refunded. I don't believe a word these people say so l disputed the charge via my credit card company. I don't think these people ever had the part and had no intention of ever fulfilling the order. After reading dozens of reviews on Google I am convinced of this because my experience was the rule, not the exception. I have bought tons of mail order parts from many different companies in the 3 decades I have been involved in Motorsports, This "company" rates among the worst. To advertise a part and then not deliver it in a timely manner and then effectively ghost the customer is tantamount to stealing. Do NOT use this company for anything unless you like being charged for nothing and having your time wasted. They are a sham company out to steal your money. If not, they are a bunch of clueless idiots who shouldn't be running anything and are playing a game at delivering nothing. I have rarely witnessed this level of incompetence. Stay away from Dead Jeep in Rhode Island. They will take your money and lie. If you don't believe me, read the other reviews. I ordered a steering clock spring in Jan 2024. They promised me that all their parts are tested and have a 90-days warranty. After i received the parts and fit it in my car, it appeared that it's not working. I contacted them (within the warranty period) and showed them the evidence. Then, Alisson agreed to send another parts. However, he was temporizing for two months and he was not responding to my emails! I fed up after waiting for 2 months and asked Alisson to refund me. He also agreed to refund me, but guess what? He disappeared for nearly a year. I was sending emails time to time but no respond. Finally, in march 2025, Lisa replied to me that they already refunded me. However, this refund was for a canceled order that was not sent. I told her that and she disappeared as well. I tried so many times and sent tons of emails but there was no response. Eventually, i found their Instagram account and contacted them. I explained my issue again to them. They was temporizing again for about 2 months(June 2025). Finally they replied to me that they can't help anymore because they tried to refund me but it did not go through and the warranty time was finished!! Moreover, they accused me to have some scamming activities and blocked me! That was my worst ever experience buying online internationally. They scammed me and accused me to be the scammer! They took nearly 100$ and waisted so much of my time for nothing. I totally do not recommend buying from them. read more

Ordered a door locking rod set for my Jeep TJ. Part arrived and was what I ordered. Took it to the Jeep dealer for them to work on my door and was then told it was not the correct part. Called and emailed DeadJeep multiple times to inquire about returning the part and even paying the restocking fee, but they never once responded which is poor customer service. With my part, they actually sent a card that states: "Thank you for your purchase! If you have any problems or questions please reach out to us! We bend over backwards to fix any problem, we NEVER want to leave customers hanging out of pocket with a part they cannot use. We appreciate all feedback as it helps us learn but please give us a chance to fix it before you leave negative feedback. You can find us on eBay at Deadjeepparts; On email at parts@deadjeep.com; or call a human and talk direct at 401-642-0236. We are in the office from 9 am to 5 pm Monday thru Friday Eastern Standard Time to answer questions and fix any problems." If you are interested in a part that they have then I'd try calling to speak with someone directly before making an order to verify you can get through to someone in case there is an issue with your order. It's a good thing to have a place to find Jeep Parts, however, they really need to work on customer service, especially when they include a card with your purchase begging you to contact them for any issues before leaving a bad review. I didn't hear anything for another week, and then received an automated email saying they had shipped. It took 5 weeks to receive something I should have received in 7-10 days. They didn't ship the parts I ordered, they don't respond to emails or their online 'contact us' webpage, and the don't answer phone calls (their voicemail is also full and cannot accept any new messages). read more

As an update to my previous review, I initiated a formal dispute with my credit card company, after receiving no response from DeadJeeps regarding my order. After reviewing the details, the credit card company ruled in my favor and issued a credit of $800.10 to my account. DeadJeeps did not provide any response or rebuttal following the dispute process, which strongly suggests they were aware of their wrongdoing and had no valid defense. Since the start of this issue, I have had zero communication with DeadJeeps. They are completely unreachable by phone, and repeated emails have gone unanswered. This lack of response and accountability is unacceptable from any legitimate business. It is difficult to understand how a company with such poor customer service and unethical practices continues to operate and attract customers. First spoke to a guy that said yes send them and we cam repair them, that was Dec 9 2023 it is now April 11, 2024. I have called over 40 times and send emails They NEVER Answer the phone or return phone calls OR emails. One time a call was answered a Lisa picked up for 3 seconds and hung up cut the call off . I'm really disappointed, and will not recommend these guys unless you're desperate and willing to accept really poor quality parts that look nothing like what they show on the website. I ordered a brake booster off their website two months ago and never got a response. When I emailed, they replied that they they were having a labor shortage and they were a little behind on orders and offered a refund. No problem, I was not in a rush , so I replied that I can wait. Two months later, they emailed that the first part they pulled was of poor quality and they were going to pull a different one out for me. Again, I said I could wait. What I eventually received 2-1/2 months after ordering can only be described as a rusted hunk of junk that belongs in the dumpster. The picture on the website only showed a little rust. This thing was rusted all over with rust holes through the booster body, making it worthless and unusable. They also shipped it full of nasty brake fluid that leaked in the box. I know this is a used parts source but I was surprised to find the interior console I purchased to be in need of proper cleaning. It was disgusting- had to really scrub and detail to get the grime, dirt and other gross stuff off the console. Even with that effort, The console has some scraps and grime that would not come off. Make no mistake, deadjeep does not sell jeep parts, they will look for one if you need it but will likely fail, at least within a month from your order. My biggest poblem with deadjeep though is that they lie. First deadjeep lies about having parts in stock, then deadjeep lies about delivery time, lastly deadjeep lies to your face that stuff above is not true and while caught red handed do not even care to explain and apologize. Fun fact 1 : part that I waited for a month to be shipped that they could not find is still in stock according to their website.
