The kitchenette has a full size fridge, coffee pot (drip with mesh filter), dishware & utensils, microwave, and 2 burner cooktop. Bathroom has walk-in shower, towels, and hair dryer.TV has Roku and there's a picnic table & grill outside the front door. There's no place to hang clothes and the dusty old antique dresser has tiny drawers, so plan to live out of your suitcase. It's a quick 5 minute drive to Hill City which has several good restaurants and a grocery store. The hosts live and work onsite, always around, and are very good with communicating. Needless to say this place won me over. Lisa and Harvey have done a phenomenal job with this campground and are fantastic hosts. The General Store has most everything you need in case you forget some essential camping needs. All the sites are on nice, flat ground though there isn't much shade. Our site was next to porta potties (plus) and we also had a shelter over our picnic table (plus). We didn't look inside the cabins but they look cozy and have a porch swing out front. The swimming pool is small but really nice and is naturally chlorinated due to the 750 lbs of salt that's been added. Good for the skin :) It can be cool at night here so bring warm clothes. We arrived in July and on the way through the hills we saw snow on the ground!! It's quiet, relaxing and really beautiful here.

We have been to good and bad RV parks, and this one was one of those that I felt really safe. I knew that I could go out and leave the door unlocked. Tom and Karrie are new owners and working hard to make this place really nice. If there was ever a need, Tom was there to fix it. The RV lots are new and perfectly level, they added a large dog walk, and shower room is totally redone. It's really nice to have a large shower! We would be happy to stay here again, if we had another assignment in Rapid City.

It wasn't too loud at night but you were still able to enjoy yourself. The bathrooms/showers/primp area for the woman's was wonderful and really threw me off. I was expecting it to be a little rough but I felt right at home and loved being able to get clean after a ride each day. The small restaurant has good breakfast and great snacks throughout the day. Their small store has almost anything to accommodate you too. It's a convenient location near the Beaver Bar, a bus stop is nearby to take you into town if you plan to drink responsibly and not ride. I would definitely recommend this place!

The surroundings, setting, vibe, atmosphere, a true mountain campground & resort with over friendly owners, staff (always here to help!) and tenants! Good food, clean bathrooms, nice laundry rooms, beautiful tent sites, a river runs through the campground. There is also a heated swimming pool. This place is quiet at night so you can enjoy your rides during the day. You can just stop by to fish a trout an they'll prepare it for you. Nice crispy trout with a cold one, exactly what I need during my vacations. Best value for money accommodation during the Sturgis rally. There are also cabins for rent on site. I'll go there again...soon! (make sure you book like 10 months in advance...)

We had put in our request not to be parked so close to everyone else- the park is not very full so they accommodated us by letting us stay any very last spot near the mountains, which was absolutely beautiful (site 320) What was also amazing is that they had lowered their price after we had booked online and when we checked in, without prompting, they only billed us for the new lower rate, that's almost unheard of these days! Really appreciate the authenticity and honesty Laundry facilities worked great- they have quarters if you need too. They will give you maps of all of the sites in the area, but you are about 20 minutes from Mount Rushmore, another 20 more minutes to get to crazy horse and don't forget to do the wildlife loop through Custer State Park
