I've had good experiences at Laemmle's Encino theater and had many memories from their old Sunset and Fallbrook locations, but this was my first time at their North Hollywood theater. You can buy your tickets online or in-person inside. I'm not gonna lie - with everything automated nowadays, it's been a minute since I actually got to interact with theater employees at the box office! Speaking of which, they were all friendly and happy to assist the moviegoers. Since it's an independent theater, the crowd leans towards the older side (nothing wrong with that since they're more respectable). The interior of the theater is clean, the sound and image are great, they've got a nice selection of independent movies - if you're in NoHo, give Laemmle a shot! There's street parking and a parking garage off of Lankershim Blvd & Weddington St (theater provides validation).

Anyways this is hands down the best AMC theater I've ever been to which includes the South Bay in the Bay area, OC and South LA and this is why below- Parking: You need to pull up the email with your reservation and there is a bar code at the bottom to validate your parking. If you don't have it, you can do this inside the help desk at AMC. Citywalk: After you park you need to go through security to enter the citywalk. I brought a backpack in with my computer one time. I also brought in full water bottles but the other time I came I had to empty it so not sure what the protocol is. I walked in and immediately saw the Odyssey Trojan Horse at the entrance which is now gone :( Inside AMC: It's two stories tall, first floor has a huge concession area where you pick up what you want and pay at the counter. There's so many tables and seating on both side of the concession area with soda machines too on on the left side. There's theaters and one set of bathrooms on both sides. Upstairs is a three more theaters, one is your 70mm IMAX. Another bathroom and a full bar with seating. My favorite part was seeing the actual wardrobes of the actors in the Odyssey on display along with an IMAX camera. 70mm IMAX Experience: Every seat gives you an substantial different experience of the movie. I was at the start of the second section of seating and I was looking up, I was a row behind another time and it felt way better, I went a third time and sat at the second row to the back and it was perfect. From my experience, the farther you are the better since the screen is so big. I literally felt like I was at a ride at a theme park on how different the IMAX was. You can see the little imperfections of the film with black dots but it was crystal clear than Laser and other formats. The only downside is if you are sitting in the middle and need to get out during the movie, GOOD LUCK! The seats are super close together with barely any legroom. Other than that, can't wait to see Dune Part 3 here! Shoutout to Christopher Nolan with another blockbuster of a movie though. I'm so glad I saw the Odyssey for the first time here to experience greatness. Auramenmon looked even cooler walking like Darth Vader on that IMAX screen.

What needs improvement is the cleanliness of the bathrooms. While they weren't terrible, I feel that they need to get cleaned more often. This is the same for the other bathrooms located at CityWalk. Leaving my car here was fine because my movie ticket allowed me to purchase parking for $5. Otherwise, I'd have taken the Metro B Line and walked here from Universal Studios/Studio City station.

I recently had a chance to visit when a show called Marvelous came into town and while it is definitely an older theater the sound was good, every seat is a good one in terms of the view. The seats aren't necessarily the most comfortable but based on it being classic, you can expect that, but the staff and the concessions are great and it was really just a lovely experience. I was able to get parking on the next block for $15 at a paid parking lot or if you're lucky you might be able to find street parking some of the meters are free in the evening or if you want to take a little bit of a further walk, you might be able to find free neighborhood street parking as well.

You've got two Dolby Cinema auditoriums, ScreenX, XL, 70mm capability, and IMAX, which gives you a lot of options depending on the movie. I've personally watched films here in Dolby Cinema, 70mm, and XL, and I've been very satisfied with all three. The Dolby auditoriums are especially impressive, and I always appreciate having a theater nearby that still supports 70mm presentations. I love sitting in the back row to hear the reels rolling, it's such a satisfying sound to me; the heartbeat of the film! My only real disappointment is the IMAX auditorium. Compared to true large-format IMAX theaters, it definitely feels more like a "LieMAX", so I usually prefer the Dolby or other premium options here instead. A very wide screen but not tall enough. Beyond the screens, the auditoriums got comfortable seats. (Although they had AC problem recently). The restrooms are large, parking is free, and there are tons of restaurants and places around to grab food nearby before or after a movie. I also love the Batman statue out front--it gives the theater a little personality and makes the entrance feel more memorable. Overall, if you care about premium formats and having multiple viewing options, AMC Burbank 16 is a great choice. It's especially nice if you want to make a full outing or date night out of it, with so many food options around the theater. If their IMAX was 1.43, I'd give it 5

Upon entering, there were self service ticket kiosks to the left, making the process quick and easy. No lines, no waiting! Unfortunately, the young lady checking tickets at the entrance didn't seem too happy to be there. She had a very stoic expression and wasn't particularly welcoming. Not the best first impression, but we continued on. We ordered our food at the kiosk and headed downstairs, where we decided to sit at the bar while our food was being prepared. The bartender was really cool! We enjoy mezcal, so he recommended one of their specialty cocktails made with mezcal, and it was really good! Definitely a nice touch to the moviegoing experience. When I went to pick up our food, I noticed our order was already sitting on the countertop behind the concession stand. I stood to the side while the young lady assisted another guest. Once she finished, another customer who had arrived after me approached the counter, and instead of acknowledging me, she immediately asked to help that person. I politely said, "Excuse me, is that my order ready?" She wasn't particularly friendly or apologetic. She simply asked for my order number and handed me the food. A little acknowledgment would have gone a long way, especially since I had been standing there waiting. Despite those two customer service experiences, I chose not to let them ruin our visit. The theater itself was very clean, spacious, and had a really nice ambiance. The food was good, the drinks were great, and the bartender provided the kind of friendly service that makes you want to return. Overall, I really enjoyed AMC Burbank 16 and would absolutely come back! The atmosphere, food, drinks, and convenience of parking made it worth the trip from Montebello. Stores such as Apple, Aldo, The Gap, Banana Republic, Bed, Bath & Body, Bloomingdale's, Coach, Express, Hollister, Macy's, Vans, and many others. The mall is a good size, very clean, and well-maintained. The food court was extremely clean, comfortable, and somewhat fancy-looking, with plenty of tables, benches, and chairs to sit and relax throughout the mall. Friendly employees can be seen cleaning throughout the mall, assuring that this place is kept as spotless as possible. Free parking is available both in the parking garage adjacent to the mall and in non-garage parking on the east and south sides of the mall.

There should be security in the corridor, especially given that it is right next to an outlet to riverside drive. I appreciated their great customer service as my friend group and I were very excited to watch Spiderman. The movie screen and the chairs were great quality. We had Theater 1 and the recliner seats were comfortable and even though we sat all the way on the sides, we had a very good view of the large screen and felt immersed. The popcorn was surprisingly cold upon eating and tasted alright, but overall nothing too unpleasant it was probably just not a fresh batch. I also love that there's also a bar here with movie-themed drinks so you have good options here!!! I wish there was more cardboard stands/photo ops for the movies because there was only one so something to note. I do know this theatre is on the smaller side so it makes sense. I hope both sides of the escalators also can be fixed because it didn't look too good walking in and needing to walk down the stairs because only one of the escalators was functional and moving up. So I just think maybe more maintenance and upgrade into those things could be a big help.
