This tiny theater is a great place to see your favorite artist if you get selected through iHeartRadio raffles, through its affiliate radio stations, or you have the hookup. The venue has a capacity of less than 200 people, making for an intimate experience. I was lucky enough to be chosen to see Madison Beer perform UP CLOSE, and she was even more stunning in person. Her live performance was truly spectacular, and the small stage allowed for a personal connection with the artist. The best part? The experience was FREE. It was also my first time seeing JoJo (on the radio). Whenever I'm listening to KIIS FM, I always wonder what radio MCs look like. LOL. Side note - I want to give a heads up about parking. The email confirmation suggested parking at a building structure where Morton Steakhouse is located, but this turned out to be a MISTAKE. The parking structure only accepts cash, and it costs $12.50. Luckily, I had it ready thanks to the email. Second, there is only ONE PARKING GATE to leave this structure. It moves slow and there are two lanes that merge to the gate. You're in a better situation to park your car blocks away from the theater then to park here and be stuck. read more

Recently won last-minute tix to see John Mayer at iHeart Theater courtesy of MyFM. (3 hours before check-in!) First time at this venue. Arrived around 5:10PM and parked in the lot off of Bob Hope Dr. for $10 (Cash only!). There's some residential parking, just be aware of the parking restrictions posted on signage. The lot is a bit hidden, you have to go up a narrow street across from Johnny Carson Park. The venue itself is about a 3 minute walk away. They said people couldn't line up before 5PM, but when we arrived at the venue around 5:15PM we were already pretty much last in line. So I'm guessing people can still line up a few hours earlier or had VIP status or something. There are two lines that seem to look like they are one but they are not: one line is to check in and get your wristband, the main line is for after you check in and are ready to proceed to security check/ entry into venue. As you enter the venue, there's an electronic marquee with the face of the artist performing that you should take a pic with for memory. There's a small lounge before stepping into the actual theater that has restrooms and pics of artists who've performed here in the past. The show started promptly at 7PM and was being live streamed. I noticed there are balcony seats for VIPs, which offer a much better view of the stage. We were on the floor about 2 rows from the back and couldn't see the stage since the stage was so low! Wish they would elevate the stage so that people in the back could see. Also, John was sitting down for the first half of the performance and we couldn't even see him. Luckily, that venue is small enough where he could hear us yelling at him to stand up, which eventually he did. There are complimentary drinks (soda, water) stage right. I nabbed a few before the show started. There were about ~400 people last night, about ~300 on the floor. Acoustics were great, lights were awesome. Just wished I could have seen the stage from the back. It was a total bummer. The concert lasted exactly 1 hour, and John played 9 songs with some banter and interviews in between. It was great to hear him play at a small venue such as this. If you end up getting VIP tickets or have connections with iHeart, I'm sure you'll get a better view of the stage and overall a better experience. You can even win a meet and greet with the artist through certain radio stations! read more

Very small venue, you get up close and personal with the artist. Not a bad seat in the place. The lighting is amazing and the sound quality is on point. Upon entrance we were granted to opportunity to meet Kelly Clarkson. She was very nice, asked our names gave us a hug and took pictures. Her voice is no joke, she is the real deal when it comes to vocals. Great show read more

We got free tickets to watch the pre-screening of Crazy Rich Asians here and so glad we made it!!! Really organized event from getting in line to receive our wristbands, security check and pretty much throughout the end of the showing. We were definitely SPOILED here as in photo booth set-up fit for the theme, red carpet, and popcorn, drinks, and chocolates! Oh and a portable rose gold battery with the title of the movie written on it as the last hand out we received. #blessed Good size theater with leveled seats. Larger screen in between smaller ones for the movie. There's an upper deck viewing from the top with a bar. Security was strict, but glad they did not have to warn anyone regarding cellular device and that they also got a chance to enjoy the movie with us as well. I can't say anything about Crazy Rich Asians other than to watch it when it hits the theaters August 15, but would like to also thank iHeart Radio Theater LA for hosting us! Went here for a live taping of a Jimmy Eat World concert. The check in process was unorganized. A bunch of us walked past a staff member and stood in line. About 10 min later the same staff member told us we should have went over to this table and checked in first. Why didn't he tell us that from the start? Doors opened about 15 minutes late, which was annoying because it was freezing outside. Once we got inside the venue there was a free photo booth and they gave us complimentary water and soda. It is a small venue, so it was pretty awesome to see the band so up close. The best thing about this venue is that there is plenty of free street parking, so you avoid the typical $20 to $30 fee that most concert venues charge. read more

Went here with my coworker for a movie screening. The venue is small but nice. Staff is friendly and efficient. PARKING There is no dedicated lot it seems for this theater; there is paid parking at the pointe 10 dollars if you go down two blocks on alameda, you'll see an opening for a garage. Otherwise if you arrive early or if it's a weekday, there should be ample street parking. That's what I did, can't beat free 99! The street sign only said you can't park there 3-5 AM... no limitation on the number of hours. Leaving this review Bc I was confused how parking worked here since it wasn't on their website, hope this helps someone out! read more

I am updating my review to a 5 star after attending another event at the iheart radio theatre. This time it was much more organized and fair. Again we saw a very well known, big artist and it was calm and not-crazy. It seemed like everyone had a great time and enjoyed the experience. This time, I would not change a thing. The sound was a little off but my guess is it was not a fault of the venue, more the artists equipment/band. Kudos to iheart for changing my review. read more

Came here for the Jason Derulo album release party. What a great place for an intimate concert! Standing room only, but before the show started people were able to sit up on the balcony. I'd recommend standing in the back to get a good view, but these days it's hard because everyone has their phones out recording! I was literally watching the concert through the phone of the person in front of me. One thing I know for sure, I like Jason Derulo way more! Check in was quick and easy. I heart radio staff were awesome. This is definitely not a 1iota line up way in advance kind of thing. -Give it a try! I'd go again if I somehow got tickets to another release party! read more

LOVED this theater, the staff, and the atmosphere. It's a very small intimate theater located next to the Blizzard Arena (I think Jay Leno used to film around there)! Anyway, the staff was SO friendly and everything was really organized. They moved us through quickly and even offered us water bottles since it was so hot. There was security everywhere (which was comforting) and everyone greeted us, chatted with us before the show, and really showed genuine kindness (which is RARE sometimes in LA events). I've been to a lot of shows & tapings, and I was very impressed with iHeart and how they handled things. For all of us standing outside in the heat for hours, we could've been grouchy. But they were so respectful and organized. Oh, and the show was AMAZING. BRAVO!! read more

What a fuck up. Had name on the list (I saw it) and was at venue super early seeing it was a last minute invite and I was in the area. The holding areas weren't even full and it took less than ten minutes to get to the front of the line to check in. They decided I was standby and put me off in a random in the middle of nowhere segregated area near another building with one other person who's name wasn't even on the list. We both waited there for what seemed like forever ever until another person joined us. This other person's name was supposed to be in the list but wasn't.... We had the same artist hook up though. It was weird there weren't more people in this "area" seeing the call went out far and wide to be in the artists list. I didn't get in but I managed to get the person who was waiting the longest in by a weird twist of fate even though I was actually ON the list and should have taken the opportunity when it present itself. Karma bitches, karma! I found out after that other people also from the same artist list as I was were 1) let in without issue or 2) just not on the list when they should be but they were not waiting with us except that one guy. No idea if the others got in. I dunno why I was where I was if I was the only person in the list..... The organizer was livid this happened to us and was most perplexed by my situation. A little bummed about this. My wife won tickets to attend the Panic! At the Disco album release party that took place yesterday. She needed a seat due to a disability and I called the theater numerous time the week leading up to the show and no one ever answered. I left two or three voice messages and also emailed the theater. No one ever responded. As a result, we decided that the two hour drive to the show and not knowing if a seat was available was not worth the risk. Panic! At the Disco is one of my wife's favorite bands and we were sorry to have missed the show. read more

Awesome venue! But beware of their parking lot. It took an hour to get out. I highly recommend parking elsewhere. Also, no alcohol was served. Maybe due to the fact that you are so close to the stage and they don't want people jumping on it. If that's the case maybe have a 2 drink max policy. read more

What an amazing night! I saw the Red Hot Chili Peppers here, and it was a surreal experience. It is a really small venue, so there is not a bad "seat" in the house and I was only about 8 feet from the stage! Acoustics are good, while it was loud, my ears didn't ring afterwards as they do with some indoor shows I've been too. My only complaint is that they had everyone staring in the sun before the door opened (for about 40 minutes), which got a little toasty, but it was not enough to damper the evening. Awesome set up! Came for the album release party for Bastille that we won tickets to. Staff was very organized and polite. Line up went smooth as well as checking in for wrist bands. I came here to see the Backstreet Boys celebrate their residency in Las Vegas. I entered the fan club contest and won 2 tickets. When I arrived, check in went very smoothly and staff were awesome. What a great venue for a concert! Definitely a place to visit if you can get tickets. Just as you read, it's a very intimate setting, as it can fit just about 400 people. I saw Fitz & the Tantrums here and it absolutely rocked. Got free drinks, but had to finish them prior to the show. Highly suggest this place. read more

Came here for the Cage The Elephant show and as far as a radio/streamed gig goes it was amazing! Mainly because CTE are such a killer band! They had crowd surfing and i think one of the teens made it up on stage which never happens! lol It's a small intimate place, i was a person behind of the barricade. The only CON for me is that the sound sytem is somehow structured to sound better through live stream! (If that makes sense haha) In the venue the vocals were way too LOW, and i saw a video online and the sound was great. So that kind of sucks. If i win tickets i may be back! Also they should fix the checking in process which was confusing! (BEWARE parents come with little kids lol so it's a very family friendly setting, and you get a complimentary drink if you're 21+) read more
