It was quite a substantial amount of money due to the length of time and holiday rates. Two weeks after I paid, I was told they were no longer boarding and would issue me a refund, though they weren't quite sure how they were going to do that. By January 2025, I had heard nothing from them on my refund. I had even been charged two more times for grooming services. When I ask them about paying me back, they asked if they could do it in increments as they are a small business and couldn't afford to pay back the entire amount at one time. (even though I am required to pay the entire amount at one time for their services.) I agreed, and they issued me two small payments this spring. I am still owed $586. Their business is now closed they are in the wind, and they still have my money! These are the current owners, Ed and Chel Donnelly. I am happy to remove this review once they pay me back for services they did not render.

I'm posting this because the salon was not honest with me about what happened…read more At my dog's recent appointment, her coat was cut down to one inch in length, which is not appropriate for a long‑haired, double‑coated Great Pyrenees. She did need a sanitary trim, but there was absolutely no reason to cut her short all over her body. When I reached out to ask what happened, I was told this length was "based on a previous visit." This is false -- she has been groomed regularly for seven years and has never had her coat cut short. At drop‑off, my husband clearly stated that he did not want her cut too short because of her double coat. He did not request, approve, or suggest a one‑inch shave, and the cut she received does not match anything he pointed to on their chart. Despite that, she was shaved to one of the shortest lengths on their chart, and the salon later implied this was his choice. It was not. Our veterinarian has now advised us to limit her sun exposure due to how short her coat was cut. This has never been necessary before. When I reached out privately, the salon provided information that was not true. When I pointed out the discrepancy, they chose not to respond further. Because of the lack of honesty and the inappropriate cut, we will not be returning.

I honestly thought I had already posted a review for Gia's in the past, but Yelp tells me this is a…read morelie! In any case, I'll do so now. We've been taking our boxer mix here for years. She LOVES going to Gia's and goes crazy when we ask her if she's ready for her spa day. They always take such great care of her and even allowed my wife to come pick her up on her lunch breaks when she had an office job. The deshedding works so well and they do a great job with her nails (which are next to impossible to do at home --with a Dremel tool) because most of her quicks are black. Last year, we adopted a border collie/Australian cattle dog mix. He is kinda shy at times and initially had problems even going into Gia's. She and her staff were so accommodating and they had us just do a few visits to the front so that he could get used to the sights and smells (and of course he was rewarded with plenty of treats)! One he was used to the inside, they slowly started working him in at the end of the day (or when there was a gap between clients) so he wouldn't have to stay in the kennel due to his anxiety. He's gotten so much better... and while he still can't get the full services our other dog does, he's done so much better and can now get a bath and his nails trimmed. They have been so great working with him! Gia's also has the best products. From food, treats, toys, and accessories, they are all vetted by Gia herself. If you buy something there, you can bet it's one the safest and best products around. Everyone in the shop is fantastic. Highly recommend!
